Natalia couldn’t say she was completely back to normal, but things were certainly starting to look up for the ghoul once again. The relationship she had with Whisper was prospering. They were all alive, even after the so called ‘death’ some had experienced—everyone seemed to be thriving well within the world they had returned to…within the FEAR that they all depended on.
But still; her mind was riddled with uncertainty, worry and even more so than all of that; sorrow. They had lost one of their own, they had all suffered greatly. The passing was particularly painful for her ghoulfriend, not that Natalia knew of any strong bonds shared between the two of them… yet it still made it all the more difficult to be completely comfortable in the gradual mending process she was feeling.
And it didn’t help that almost every face she passed reminded her of that day.
Particularly…Savior’s. The strange ghoul with the skin flap over her mouth caught the monster’s attention almost immediately out in the courtyard; Natalia drawn to the younger student without pause. How had she been doing? Surely the fellow monster had been taken good care of since the tent treatments and all but—the werelemur felt it was her DUTY to double check.
You know, just to make sure…
Even if she wasn’t a savior in the ghouls mind…in SAVIOR’S mind…hrmph.
“Hey! Hey hon over here!” Waving a pale hand, it took Natalia very few strides to reach the other ghoul, a wide smile filling out her face. “Savior! It is me, Natalia, remember?!” The question was just for the formalities of this situation…because of course Savior remembered her.

Her burns were still slowly healing. That was the first thing that would have been noticed about Savior, the strange smell of burning or burnt oranges still strong in the air. Parts of her body looked perfectly normal, as though she had never been injured, though other locations were scabbing and peeling as though the monster were shedding her skin, not trying to recover from severe wounds. For her part to "aid" in the healing Savior would pull of flakes of skin here and there, the flesh beneath the spot clean and a bright reddish-orange. Was she used to such injuries? Probably not. Did it bother her at all? Not really.
She would have been content to stay where she was, wandering and peeling her skin off, if it hadn't been for someone calling her over. They didn't use her name (did they know her?) but none the less Savior responded to the call like any animal would to someone trying to get their attention. They kept talking and saying words, and then finally a name, and the Marrowstripe shook her head back and forth as she walked.
The very first words uttered out of Savior's mouth the moment she approached? "Nope." Poor Natalia, Savior didn't really remember her. . . .much.

Nope.
Porcelain white skin drooped pitifully. Equally white ears twitched as if to catch a joke which might follow the blunt response. The bi-colored tail she bore stilled at her feet...
Natalia waited for a long moment, orange eyes slightly covered by dark lashes as a creeping smile inched across her face. How adorable! How comical! While the look on Savior's face read very clearly that the ghoul meant what she said, Natalia wasn't exactly ready to accept that. "Oh come on!" She murmured quickly, stretching and arching both of her arms out in front of her to mimic the act she had preformed for Savior. "Remember? I carried you after the fire? I brought you to Holly?" She really shouldn't have to explain all of this! The battle was traumatic for nearly everyone who had experienced it!
The other ghoul should definitely remember her!
A sigh escaped her lips, the lingering burnt orange smell catching in her nose and forcing a sneeze out. "Natalia?" If that didn't do it, the monster would just leave. She would just turn around and leave.

"Oh, youse. Yes, Savior. Leaks. No leak now." Oh....yes, Savior did in fact remember Natalia but it wasn't because the monster had saved her life - it was because she was the first person that Savior could remember seeing crying. Of course she didn't know what crying was still, in her mind it was entirely called leaking and would remain that way, but at least Natalia should have been happy to be remembered. Most people weren't that lucky. "How youse."
The conversation was pretty mundane since Savior vocabulary was fairly limited, not to mention her memories of the event were all by vanishing. She could remember certain things, sure, but only because the signs were still on her body and her scent was awkward. Her scent also remained on a few people here and there, the student she had marked and given her emblem too, but otherwise the entire encounter was a distant and soon to be entirely gone memory.
Her companion though looked no worse for the wear, not that she had looked injured to begin with. Savior idly bent down and peeled off a layer of skin, watching as it dissolved into a weird sandy substance before flittering off down to her feet.

Ah-HA! So she DID remember! But...wait...what? Leaks? "Uh--I am doing alright I guess?" Natalia's face twisted some in confusion, hands clamping onto alternate elbows as her arms crossed and a single shoulder hiked. Savior was a...strange ghoul. One who had an odd way of articulating sentences. And confusing the monster entirely. The lemur couldn't say she knew if she would be answering the others questions correctly, but like the confident brat she was, she continued without further falter. "Things are slowly going back to normal, for me at least. I am still pretty banged up in certain places, but I have a wonderful doctor taking care of me." And by doctor, she didn't mean the Plague Doctor here at Amityville. Whisper's pretty little face fluttered across her sights, the monster struggling to not blink as the visual was far too appealing to let go of. "How are you doing? You know, since the rescue?" Referring to HER rescue of SAVIOR. Of course.
The skin which peeled away and turned to dust at Savior's feet, however, did not look like a healthy recovery. It didn't exactly occur to her that the process may be much like molting or the shedding of a snakes skin...but merely gross and mysterious all at once. Citrus eyes kept to the area in which the sand had formed for a long while before slowly rising to meet with the ghouls.
And still she wondered idly, while waiting for her reply...what did she mean by 'leaks'?!

"Fine." Savior didn't remember the rescue, nor did she remember much else. The sensations she felt she could recall somewhat, but most of the people or the FEAR or whatever was lost. Natalia was lucky to have remained so well, but why was she talking so much or talking so fast? Had she spoken that way before or did Savior forget that too? Either way she could only manage a 'fine' as her response and she tilted her head to the side.
"Youse. . .stare." Odd. Savior was aware of the concept of staring, or being stared at anyway, though she didn't figure it was because she was dressed in nothing but the tattered remnants of a sheet. Most of it was gone and pretty much all of her body was exposed yet she felt no shame. The concept of clothing was a moot point considering her fairly genderless appearance. Also, Savior probably didn't even know what clothing was other than something people had on (Thanks Belladona!).
The sand kept forming as Savior moved her hands around, and it smelled stronger of an orange grove.
