Rolled a three: Grass field: The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustles the flat grassland arena that has replaced the default stage. Small clouds of harmless pollen fly through the air from the breeze. The land is completely flat, making maneuverability easy to those build to walk on land. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GRASS and BUG type attacks

Stepping out onto the grassy arena, Syt crouched to the ground. Orchid, her Rattata rose from her usual spot of her trainers shoulder and ran down onto the lush grass. Smiling down at her, the blue haired trainer turned to her opponent. "Hello, my name is Syt, and this is Orchid! Are you up for a battle?"

Sienna inhaled the sweet scent of the clean air on the grassy field. Skylar, huddled in her arms, was bright and alert, but would shrink back with every cool breeze. "Hi there!" Sienna greeted the other trainer. "I'm Sienna, and this is Skylar. Of course we're up to it, right bud?" The bird in her arms gave a cautious nod and a chirp. "Good boy! I'm still getting him used to battling though, so it might not be so heated." Sienna gave a small smile.

She knelt down on the ground and let Skylar into the grass. He ruffled his feathers, settled them again and then preened himself shyly.

The bird keeper took her spot on the trainer's box on one end of the field. "Okay Skylar, we'll take this nice and easy." The bird skittered around in the grass, chirping wildly. What was happening? Where did Sienna go??

"Over here, buddy!" The bird lifted himself wobbily into the air; there she was! He stopped chirping and fluttered in the air. "Start out by protecting yourself; use Cotton Guard!"

The swablu concentrated and beat his wings, cotton-y spores surrounded the small bird and encased him in another layer of fluffy white down.

"Orchid, Use Blizzard!" Closing her eyes, the small Rattata concentrated on lowering her body temperature as much as she could. Dashing towards her opponent, she exhaled in the bird Pokemon's direction in hopes of reaching her

"Fly upward and dodge it!" Sienna called.

Skylar quickly and nervously told his wings to carry him higher. He was up pretty high now. He clucked with anxiety, flying shakily in circles above the grassy field.

"Alright calm down now and fly down and use Pluck! It'll be just like playing tag with Kipper, but Kipper is a rattata and you have to hit him hard," Sienna tried to explain. Skylar was still a young swablu and not nearly as experience as some of her other pokemon.

Skylar chirped in response, folded his wings in like he'd seen the other birds do, and then swooped as close as he could to the attata, beak open

Orchid rolled slightly as she was hit, letting out a squeak. Scampering to her feet she shook herself off before facing the Swablu in front of her.

"Orchid, use Blizzard again!" Concentrating on lowering her temperature again, she charged towards the flying pokemon

Skylar chirped in pain and tumbled backwards onto the grassy field. His feathered body was coated in a chilly, thick layer of frost. He shivered, eyes wide and teary.

"It's okay, Skylar! You can shake it off, it's just snow." Sienna cooed. Poor little thing, maybe battling wasn't his specialty after all. "Let's try Aerial Ace this time!"

The frosty swablu shook himself out and nervously took flight. Once he was up in the air, however, and the sun warmed him up a little, he was able to gain more confidence and swoop low over the rattata again to relieved a blow.

As the bird propelled himself into her, she bounced back across the ground a few paces.

"Your alright, Orchid! Try using blizzard again!" Her body temp still low from the last few attacks, she charged at the Swablu, her breath coming out as a frosty cloud

Before Skylar could get his footing or get back into the air, he felt even colder and his body froze in place. He tried to let out some peeps and chirps, but his beak was frozen shut!

"You can shake it off, buddy! Try Pluck again!" Sienna called out. She couldn't see that her pokemon small pokemon was frozen under the cover of the tall grass.

Skylar heard his trainer call to him but he couldn't move. All he could do was whimper and shiver in the long grass.

"Orchid, try thunder wave!" Seeing as the flying pokemon couldnt seem to move, she hoped to keep it still a little longer. For such a little bird, it was pretty tough.

Orchid chittered her teeth and dashed towards the bird pokemon. As her fur and feet scraped across the ground, she built up static electricity.

"You can do it Skylar, get in the air!" Sienna called, seeing the sparks from a building electric attack.

With all his might, the swablu broke free of the ice and frost, flying up into the air.

"Great job! Pluck again!"

Skylar swooped down at the rattata, hoping she wasn't still going to shock him.

As the bird pecked at her, the rattata started to get annoyed. Shaking it off, she dashed away slightly in order to gains some distance.

"Orchid, Try ice beam!" The little rat like pokemon concentraited real hard to lower her body temp once more, .

Skylar's eyes could get any wider and now they were full of cold tears. He hated this! It was so cold! And he didn't like being mean...

"It's okay Skylar! Just a little ice. I'll give you a warm bath after this, don't worry about it. Let's go back to Aerial Ace!"

Shaking himself off once more, he dove at the other pokemon for his trainer.

The small pokemon got sent back across the grass as the attack hit her. It took her a few seconds to get up and shake herself off.

"Your doing great, Orchid! Dont worry! Use Ice beam again!"
