Leilani was enjoying the peaceful breezes, but she knew that these breezes came with her least favorite time of year. The weather was starting to cool down, and she started feeling a bit more depressed. Not only did she dislike the cold, but she knew that the flowers would cease to exist during the winter months, and she could only be left to daydream about the wonderful aroma's of the flowers. As she began to think about what was to come, she once again was swept into a daydream of being a flutter. This was nothing new for her.
As she daydreamed, she decided to lay down and get even more relaxed, silently hoping that she might slip into a small nap and dream about being a flutter.

Astra had decided to take a short flight. It was good for her stretch her wings after all, and the crisp air wasn't uncomfortably cool yet. From above she saw the splash of color beneath her, and she realized suddenly that it seemed to be a meadow full of flowers. She tilted her body and wheeled around to the left as she circled the field, trying to see if there was enough room for her to land without squashing any of the blossoms. Slowly Astraea descended, scooping her wings a bit to help slow her forward momentum before she touched down gracefully.
It was worth the effort! Immediately her nostrils were hit with the subtle perfume of flowers in full bloom. Her eyes half closed in pleasure, there were few things in the world quite as wonderful as nature in it's full glory. Astra's hooves made hardly any noise as she moved through the flora, the grass made a rustling noise as she passed through. It was about then that she noticed Leilani. She was surprised she hadn't seen her before, but she quickly chalked it up to the fact she was distracted by the flowers. Astraea's voice carried across the field as she called out to the other mare, "Excuse me, I'm sorry. I don't mean to be a bother, but you don't mind me being here right? I couldn't help myself, I saw the color from overhead when I was passing by. I'm not stopping you from napping am I? You look so comfortable." As she was want to do when she was a bit nervous, Astra found herself rambling. It took her telling herself to take a breath that stopped the string of questions and gave Leilani time to answer her.

As Leilani lay in the sea of flowers, she continued to try and doze, when she heard a faint noise. As much as she wanted to lay there and daydream, she couldn't help but to wonder if a real life flutter had come to visit. She had never met one, and hoped that some day soon she could. As the sounds got closer, Leilani hoped more and more that her dream was coming true.
Just as she was ready to finally get up, she heard a voice. A voice that sounded like it could have been familiar. Al of a sudden Leilani was met with a string of questions, but paid more attention to the mares look. She had wings, but she wasn't a flutter. She let out a bit of a sigh of disappointment. "Oh no, your not bothering me." she said sarcastically. "I was just trying to relax and daydream." Leilani really didn't mean to be sarcastic, but when something or someone interrupted her thoughts of flutters, she kinda got annoyed, but this usually passed within a few minutes. She took a deep breath in and let the aroma flow through her lungs. This always helped Leilani's mood, so she began to lighten up a bit. "But I am awake now," she added. "The smell of the flowers always helps me wake up."
Leilani paused for a moment, realizing that she may have offended the new mare. "I didn't mean to be snark with you, I was enjoying my favorite past time. Your more than welcome to join me."
