
Rue lay upon the soft earth, feeling the tall blades of grass tickle at the curves of her body. She looked off into the night's sky, feeling the wind gently play at her fur. The air held a slight chill, just a simple n**, but it wasn't anything she couldn't handle.
She looked at the stars, beginning to count them as she wondered how many she could find. She waited patiently as rolling clouds would darken the areas she was counting, until the shimmering stars revealed themselves again.
103, 104, 105... She found it harder to count after such a number, forgetting which parts of the sky she had already been at.
Growing frustrated with herself, she stood up, shaking out her fur. Her blue eyes, looking to that night sky one more time before making her way down the small hill.
