pre-chosen field:
City Streets Field: Broken tar and faded yellow lines make up the “street” that runs down the exact center of the battle field. On either side of the road are sidewalks with pieces of concrete here and there. Fake building walls, complete with broken glass windows and grime lining the surface, limit the amount of maneuverable space on land. Trash cans and trash bags decorate the street. A sewer grate nearby continually pours a stream of fog into the air which, unfortunately, helps spread the horrible stench of the trash. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to POISON type attacks.

Flint looked over the battlefield with distaste. He silently hoped the battle would move quickly so he could getaway from its stench. Beside him Rush appraised the field, it may smell bad but at least there was room for him to move this time. Rush stepped onto the cracked and broken road and stood in wait for his opponent to appear

Krimson hesitantly stepped onto the stage his nerves apparent on his face and in his body language. This was...it was his first battle. Ever. He knew he was going to screw up royally and get his rental pokemon hurt pretty badly, but this was all what it was about wasn't it? To get the first time jitters over with so he could see if the battles were worth the heartache in the end. He hesitated a moment longer before moving over to the place where he was supposed to stand. "H-Hello," He called out, shifting his weight from foot to foot. "I'm Krimson and I'll be your opponent... "

Flint waved at the other trainer " i'm Flint, good luck today Krimson!" he replied. He looked at the screen and saw that it was his turn first. He waited until Krimson had released his Pokemon before addressing Rush " alright, lets try a Fire blast attack!" Flint called out. Rush bellowed then began his attack

Krimson watched as the rental Zubat fluttered around in freedom for a moment, before Flint called out his own greetings and started the battle. He flinched as the blast of fire smacked the flying pokemon square in the face. The Zubat took a moment to reorient itself, chattering angrily at Rush. "Ouch, we can do this Zubat! Use...use Toxic!"
He watched as the Zubat attacked.

Rush grunted as the attack hit and was poisoned. Flint winced in sympathy " Rush, Fire blast again!" he called and the bull pokemon sent another blast of flame at the smaller pokemon.

"Hang in there Zubat! I know our opponent is strong but we'll make the best out of it!" Krimson called, eyes tearing up as his temporary pokemon yelped in pain. "Use Venoshock Zubat!"
The singed Zubat shook itself, small flakes of charred fur drifted to the ground, ""

The Zubat was learning to roll with the blows and looked very much like a rolling ball of flame as it tumbled through the air. It shook off the lingering fire and turned towards Krimson, waiting for it's next command. "Use Leech Life!" The Zubat turned and zipped over to the Bull pokemon and tried to sink its fangs into Rush's flank.

The Zubat chittered in an almost mocking way as it was dislodged and dodged the attack. Tiny drops of blood clung to the fur around its mouth and it looked a little healthier than before. "Toxic again Zubat!" Krimson cried out, the battle wasn't looking as one-sided as it had been in the beginning.
