"Ready when you are, friend." He called across the ring at his opponent, his tail wagging. He loved to fight, but hated to kill, so this was a wonderful contrast to his life with his old pack in the wild, in which fights were often lethal. Wounds would cripple one enough to kill slowly, or a mokai would bleed to death shortly after... Brutal. Lamashtu hated how heartless his pack had been, but this was exciting! He knew that everything here was safe, more or less, and that after all was said and done, both he and his opponent would be taken care of and rewarded for their efforts, win or lose.

Fighting Stats
Attack: 1*4=4%

Lila was bringing him back! Link had a lot of fun the other day in his first battle, he was glad to be going back so soon. Maybe he would see that lovely little female he had met the other day in battle. Sure the people had hated seeing him fight (he was sure as he had heard the comment like “That mokai again?! Everyone turn around, it’s not worth seeing”) but that didn’t matter. Some people needed to lighten up, and the same could be said for mokai as well.
Entering the compound, the dark pelted male was wagging his tail until the moment he entered the pit. With one last pet from Lila, Link bounded off, to meet his new opponent. He was saddened by the fact it wasn’t the female from the other day, but maybe he could make friends with this mokai too!
“I’m ready!” He called out. “Though, I don’t think I am very good at this, so don’t laugh, okay?” He gave a cheeky grin.

"Don't worry, I'm new too!" Lamashtu laughed, "Now get ready, I'm coming for you!" The idea that the other fighter might have been teasing him didn't even cross this innocent mokai's mind, and the thrill of this was too overwhelming for him to wait any longer.
Lamashtu darted over to his opponent and took a swipe at his legs, hoping to knock him off balance to gain an edge. He wasn't great at battle strategy, but he knew that if an opponent couldn't stand then they couldn't fight very well.

“..Okay! I think I’m ready. Show me what you got!” As soon as the words left Link’s mouth, he found himself on the ground. He looked up with wide orange eyes at the other. “Hey, they hurt!” He barked, frowning. He wasn’t having as much fun as he had the other day. Getting to his feet, he looked at his body, kind of chasing his tail in a way, to see if there were any bruises forming. Seeing none, he returned his gaze to the other. “That wasn’t fair, I wasn’t ready!”
Circling the male, the dark pelted mokai pounced on the other, grabbing for his ear.

"It's supposed to hurt, silly!" Lamshtu shook his head, "You'll be fine, now come- HEY!" Lamashtu yelped as his ear was assaulted. He started to pull away but it hurt too much for him to even consider pulling very hard. Maybe this guy was new at fighting, but he knew how to make his head hurt!
"You said you were ready!" He barked, "Let go!"

“No it’s not!” Link cried out, with the mouth full of ear in his mouth. He spit it out after a moment, staring at the other. “The fight I was in the other day wasn’t painful. It was fun!” Link got to his feet, shaking off any dust that had accumulated on his pelt.
He gazed back at Lila, who wasn’t laughing at today’s actions. She motioned for him to go on, and so he did.
“We should make it so it doesn’t hurt! You know, have fun without the blood spatter. How does that sound?” His tail gave a few wags, trying to persuade the other from injuring him. What was the point of fighting if you couldn’t walk out of the arena. He was lucky that he hadn’t met up with terrible fighter yet.

"Come on, haven't you ever heard the phrase 'no pain, no gain'? Besides, can't it be fun and still be a real fight?" He tilted his head at the other fighter. Didn't he know how this worked? Oh well, if he wanted it to be a half-hearted fight, he supposed he could oblige him.
"And for the record," Lamashtu added, flicking his ear now that it was free, "You're the only one who has drawn blood this match. Remember that." He shrugged and ran at the other fighter once more, pouncing on him, but in a somewhat playful way this time.
"Better?"

“Mmm…Nope! Can’t say that I have!” Link paused, thinking it over for a moment. “Lila always tells me that if you don’t have fun, then why waste your time doing it! I like her motto better than that one!”
Link blinked, eyes focusing on the blood that Lamashtu was speaking about. “Oh my…I’m sorry!” He truly was. He didn’t wish to hurt anyone that he had come into ‘battle’ with. He just wanted the others to have as much fun as he was having.
But when the other pounced, the male fell back with a slight ‘oomphed’. “Much.” His tail beat against the ground lightly as Link, rather slowly, reached up to tug at Lamashtu’s collar. The dark pelted mokai was definitely not of typical fighter mentality. He had a lot of growing up to do.

Well this one certainly was strange, wasn't he? Oh well, who was he to judge? Lamashtu giggled softly to himself as his opponent spoke. This one was still a pup at heart, it would seem.
"Don't worry about it, like I said, no pain, no gain. At least for me." He laughed, "My name is Lamashtu, what's yours?" He tugged back playfully as the dark mokai pulled on his collar, growling softly in a playful manner. "You're not like any of the other fighters I've met. That wasn't saying much, seeing as he only knew one other fighter as of yet, and he was... Well, he was Imnir. Not a lot of mokai like him, and that was probably a good thing.
"I feel like we should at least pretend to be actually fighting, though." Lamashtu glanced up at the crowd and frowned. They had stopped cheering, and seemed rather upset by this turn of events. "I think that's what the humans want..." With that he rolled onto his side and pawed lightly at his side, growling and barking as if he was actually fighting but not actually doing much other than poking him.

“I’m Link!” He introduced from underneath the other. He didn’t try getting back on his feet. The compound ground was rather comfy. He tilted his head back, finding Lila motioning for him to get up. He ignored her, returning his chat with Lamashtu. “Is that a good thing…or bad thing?” Link wondered. “You’re just like the mokai I had met. I don’t know her name though, but she was really fun! You should meet her sometime. She’s way lighter than I am!”
“Aw…The people can go do something else.” He sighed, dropping the collar from his. Shrugging, Link followed in suit with Lamashtu’s act, growling and pawing at the male. In one last ditch effort, the male lightly kicked the other in the guy. “Think that worked?” He asked quietly. Other than the ear attack, it was the only other thing the mokai could think of doing without injuring the other.

"Nice to meet you, Link." Lamashtu nodded, "I'm sure it'd be nice to meet your other friend some day, you'll have to introduce me!" His ears perked forward as the bell rang as the signal for the end of the fight. Well, that was that then. Lamashtu stood up and stopped the growling and barking charade, looking up at the judge. He wondered how they'd decide a winner out of that little... What ever this had been.
"Looks like they're going to go do just that." Lamashtu laughed, seeing that many of the spectators had already left. He listened for a moment, hearing some of them complaining loudly about it not being a real fight. Yeah, well, it wasn't exactly what he had wanted either, but he got a friend out of it so he was happy.
"Well, looks like it's time for me to be going." Lamashtu wagged his tail as Naomi walked into the ring to get him, a confused and rather embarrassed look on her face. "I'll see you around, Link!"

Link’s orange gaze looked around, watching the people leaving already. Some were violently throwing their papers down, cursing into the air. His eyes narrowed when he saw one spectator go up to Lila, cursing and throwing his hands wildly at her. Not too keen on having his human yelled at by another, Link, glared.
“I..Ill see you later, Lamashtu!” He said in a friendly manner, quickly rolling on his feet as he charged for the side of the compound where his owner was being berated at.
Hey! Hey you. Jerk! Leave her alone! it was the only time Link had ever snarled at someone, but he was too short to lunge at the man from in the pit.
“Oh look, now he gets an attitude. Next time better be good, Miss Keaty. Wouldn’t want anything to happen to your precious mokai now, would we?” The man flashed a smile. It was missing a few teeth in the upper portion of his mouth. “Good day.”
“Oh Link…” Lila sighed, reaching down, and hooking the lead onto his collar. “We got to do better than this…” They left the compound silently, Link still a bit on edge from the creepy man with the missing smile.
