Rolled a One: Ice field : The temperature of the stadium suddenly drops several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifts for the upcoming battle. The floor turns into extremely slick ice which makes maneuverability, even simply standing, difficult. Randomly placed crystal-like pillars reach skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ICE type attacks

Cara ran into the stadium. "Gonna be late, gonna be late!!" She yelled, keeping an eye on her watch. She had been in so many battles lately that time was not being her friend. She and her pokemon needed to get better if they were going to be able to be the best they could be, which meant that they needed to battle their hearts out and practice, practice, practice. This time, Dante was up again, and they were battling against a girl named Shina. As she ran onto the field, she saw that it was an ice type one. "Aw man...just our luck." Cara said, not liking the ice field one bit. "Oh well, we'll do our best just like we always do." She then started looking around, waiting for their opponent.

Shina entered the room and shivered. Ice field. Oh well, could have been worse. Tenka puffed his fur, then scurried down into the field.

Cara nodded to her opponent and let Dante out of his ball. "Hey there!" Dante stretched and looked out over the field. He gave Cara a 'You have GOT to be kidding me' look. Cara looked back at the Persian and scratched the back of her neck. "Sorry buddy, that's the luck of the draw..." Dante huffed a bit and carefully walked out onto the icy field, wanting to get this chilly battle over with quickly. Cara walked over to her trainer's box and got ready. "We can start whenever you're ready!" She called over to Shina. Dante readied himself on the field, eying the emolga carefully.

"Tenka, start us off with Iron Tail! Lower that Persian's defense!" Shina called. Tenka darted forward, slapping his now stiff tail towards the cat.

Dante snarled at the electric rodent. "Dante, use Icy Wind!" Dante nodded and growled. A cold wind suddenly started up, swirling around Dante. It then formed a whirlwind of icy air and then Dante sent it straight for Tenka.

Tenka skidded across the ice-covered floor as he was caught in the whirlwind. Hissing, he began to charge energy. Seeing the sparks, Shina quickly called "Tenka, Thunderbolt!" Tenka gladly zapped a powerful bolt of electricity at the cat.

"DANTE MO--!" Cara was to late and cringed as Dante took the full force of the thunderbolt. "Dante!!" She shouted, worried about her friend. Dante stood up and shook off the charge surrounding his body, and growled, extremely unhappy. He looked to Cara, saying wordlessly that he was alright and ready to go on. "Ok then; use Shadow Ball!" Dante started gathering a mass of dark energy in front of him, and when enough was gathered it suddenly it shot off straight for Tenka.

Tenka once again went spinning across the ice as the Persian's attack hit. "Tenka, try another Thunderbolt!" Shina commanded. Tenka charged up and released a second zap of energy.

Cara watched carefully as Dante got hit with another Thunderbolt. "Hold on Dante, you can do it!" Cara then strategized over what moves to use. She couldn't use any ground type moves because Tenka was also a flying type, unfortunately. "Dante, use Icy Wind again!" Again the frigid air swept around Dante before surging forward in a blast toward Tenka.

Tenka skittered on the ice, barely managing to slide out of the way of the attack. As he slid, he scrabbled for control. He ended up spinning toward the Persian. Careening nearly out of control, he hardened his tail, and tried to control the spin enough to hit with the metallic appendage first.

Dante winced and growled lowly at the electric flying squirrel. This sucker was seriously getting on his nerves. He stood strong, ready to battle on."Use Power Gem, Dante!" Dante blinked and grinned in a cat-like fashion then powered up and shot the sparkling beam of light straight for Tenka.

Tenka squeaked pathetically as the powerful attack hit, and once again, went sliding off. Powering up, he zapped more electricity at the Persian.
