Apolla vs. Zue! First time battling Pogeys! [Fin]

Apolla vs. Zue: Pretty *lazy* fox vs. No eyes bat!

Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Alexa walked into the stadium and grinned when she saw the seashore field. She remembered battling on this field before. Only that time had been with Vincent and not Apolla. The reason she was now battling her Vulpix was due to the horrible mess that had happen in Katarina. Apolla needed the battle practice. "I hope our opponent gets here soon. I'm itching for a good battle." She told her Vulpix.

Apolla was already out of her ball and wasn't too happy about having to battle. She would much rather lounge on the beach than fight.

Zak entered not to long after Alexa had entered the stadium. His crimson eyes glanced around the stadium. It wasn't long before he glanced up at the Zubat which was clinging to his head. "you know, you can't fight very well attached to me Zue," Zak commented lightly to his living hat.

In reply Zue gave a small screech before letting go of his trainer's head flapping in the air around him.

Alexa waved to Zak. "Hey there! I'm Alexa and this is Apolla!" She called out before lowering her voice, "Come on Apolla get out there." The Vulpix looked at Alexa, yawned, and sauntered her way out to the field. This was going to be a long battle if Apolla kept this up. "Okay Apolla. Start with Tail Whip!"

Apolla complied with the command and cutely wagged her but and many tails. It was such an easy move.

"I'm Zak and this is Zue," he replied introducing himself after Alexa. "Alright Zue lets do this!"

Zue flapped about not really straying to far from Zak, until Apolla wagged her tails at him. Curious the Zubat flew closer towards her.

"Zue enough playing around lets battle. Poison Fang!"

Zue complied diving towards the vuplix

"Nice to meet you Zak!" Alexa called out. Due to this she wasn't able to properly warn Apolla about the attack. She hoped that the attack wasn't very poisonous. "Apolla! Use Extrasensory!"

Apolla ended up getting hit with the poison fang and cried out in pain. She could feel a little bit of poison seep in but she moved out of the Zubat's reach before anymore could enter the bite wound. Hearing the attack command Apolla complied. She unleashed an Extrasensory attack, which would warp Zue's senses.

The extrasensory missed Zue as he flapped his wings flying about in the air above the fire pokemon. "Zue lets give it another Poison Fang!"

"Try it again!" Alexa cheered. She winced seeing Apolla hit with the poison fang again but it seemed the poison didn't get in this time. "Come on Apolla!"

Apolla whined when bitten again. "Vuuulllll" She leaped away and unleashed another Extrasensory attack.

That Extrasensory hit the poor little bat head on doing some massive damage to it. Zue weakly flapped its wings.

Zak saw this and then commanded, "Alright Zue lets give it a Confuse Ray," he hoped that the attack would work and give Zue a bit of time to recover from that massive hit.

By the time Zue had some what recovered enough Apolla was already underground. So the Confuse Ray completely missed her.

"NOW! Finish up the Dig Apolla!" Alexa yelled. She'll have to groom the Vulpix after the battle. Apolla hated getting dirty.

Apolla tunneled out of the ground and popped up aiming to hit the Zubat.

It looked like the trainer wasn't thinking. Zue flew high enough to avoid the attack done by the fire type. Zue took this time to recompose himself, waiting for his trainer's signal. "Lets hit it with another poison fang!"

At the signal the bat dove down from its height and attacked fangs bared and dripping with poison.

Alexa had thought for sure a ground type would work on the poison type but had forgotten about it also being a flying type this time. Since Apolla was badly poisoned, Alexa was left with no choice. "Facade!"

Apolla moved in quickly, shaking off the initial sting from the poison. She used Facade which would be more powerful since she was poisoned.

Zue was hit with the attack hard. The bat flapped its wings twice before fainting falling to the ground. Before Zue had hit the ground Zak returned it to its pokeball. "Good Show, I had forgotten all about Facade," He called out to the other trainer. "Once Zue is healed up I'll have to get you for a Rematch!"

Alexa ran up to Apolla and hugged her tightly. "I promise I will give you the long grooming you love!" She promised. She quickly returned to Vulpix to her ball before the poison could weaken her anymore. She looked up at Zak and smiled. "Right. I'm totally up for a rematch whenever you and Zue are ready." With that she left the stadium to get Apolla all healed.
