Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Chloe stood on one end of the field, waiting to see who her opponent would be. She examined the layout of the battlefield, it was one she was unfamiliar with. She wasn't sure if the sand would interfere with Bandit's ability to move, and he certainly couldn't swim, but that didn't bother her much. If she was up against a water pokemon trainer it would probably be an easy match.
"You ready, Bandit?" She called down to him. The impatient Blitzle was pawing at the sand curiously, not appearing overly concerned with what happened, at least for now.

Shina stepped out, seeing that her opponent was already present. It wasn't someone she knew. Waves lapped at the shore, and a Blitzle stood on the beach. Well, neither of them would have an advantage on this field, either in type or in body style. Would the electric equine win, or her own fire horse? Time to find out! "Rasha, go!"

Once her opponent released her pokemon from its pokeball, Chloe knew the fight had begun. "Alright Bandit, use Thunder Wave!" She had learned her lesson from their last battle, the best strategy for them was to make sure that the opponent couldn't move as much as possible, so that was what she was going to try right off the bat this time around.
Bandit charged across the field, his footing a little off from the loose sand. He wasn't used to it, but it didn't slow him down all that much. More importantly, he began releasing soft, pulsing bursts of electricity at the Ponyta in front of him, waves that would hopefully paralyze those muscles.

Rasha danced to the side, avoiding the electricity. She didn't like the shifting sand beneath her hooves, but it seemed her opponent liked it less. "Rasha, lower her defense with Iron Tail!" Rasha charged, pivoting at the last second to send her hardened tail crashing at the Blitzle.

"Bandit, watch out!" But it was too late, the strangely hardened tail had made contact, though Chloe couldn't see the effects, she knew that it couldn't be anything good. "Come on, another Thunder Wave!"
Bandit winced as the tail hit him, glancing off and leaving a strange feeling all through his body. It didn't hurt, really, but he felt off. Vulnerable. He didn't like it. He continued sending pulses at Rasha, hoping to hit her with them soon enough to keep that strange tail attack from happening again.

Rasha danced away from the electricity again, glad that it seemed that the other's aim wasn't too great. "Good job Rasha. But really, attacking lady such as yourself? Why don't you see if you can get on his good side? Use Charm!" Rasha pranced back a little further, then fixed her gaze on the Blitzle. Arching her neck becomingly, she changed her steps to something...flirty. Rasha whickered, and flicked her tail in a distracting manner.

"Bandit, will you focus and land that Thunder Wave?" Chloe pleaded as she saw her Blitzle getting distracted by Rasha's antics. "BANDIT!"
Oh, right! Bandit shook his head from side to side and launched his attack again, trying not to think too much about how pretty this particular Ponyta was...

Unfortunately, Rasha was focused too hard on her Charm attack to avoid the next Thunder Wave. Rasha shrieked as the attack made contact.

"There we go, now use Shockwave!" Chloe said with a quick clap of her hands. This sand was throwing Bandit off more than she expected, but now they had some breathing room.
Bandit nodded and sent waves of electricity surging out in all directions at the command, many of which making it to the intended target while the others fizzled off in the other directions.

Rasha flinched as the stinging attack hit. Fortunately, it wasn't very strong. Her muscles were still twitching from the Thunder Wave attack, but the paralysis was starting to recede.
