Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Doyle walked into the stadium for what seemed like the millionth time in the past few days. He had been battling Ark a lot and felt it was time to work with Archie. The little bird pokemon was out already and was eying the water with a look of horror. Archie did not like the water. But he was quite content with the beach part, especially the palm tree. "Okay... so who are we battling this time." Doyle muttered. He couldn't really remember just some person he had bumped into.

Lecila walks into the stadium almost at the same time as the other trainer. This was her first time in this building and it was amazing. Kashti had only battled outside of this place and now that she is in here, it's even better in here than out there. The seashore battle arena looked awesome! Now it's time to see if she has what it takes to be the best.
Kashti was already out of his pokeball and hanging around Lecila's neck, super excited to be in here as well. He was even more delighted that the playing field was his domain. Well, not really but water terrain is perfect.
Lecila looked over at the other trainer, what was his name again? D-somthing? Was it Dannny? No. It was David. "Uh, what's your name again? Derrick?"

Lecila looked at the dice roll at the top of the screen. "Hmm, it looks like I will be starting this battle." She walked up to her little area for the trainers. The moment she stopped, the railings around her and platform under her started to move and rise. She let out a startle squeal but gripping the railings tightly as they went up several feet off the ground before it stopped.
Kashti had managed to jump off Lecila's neck before the platform started to move and made his way to the water. That was where he felt more confident.
"Alrighty then. I think we should start off strong by using, Surf!" Lecila shouted.
Kashti let out a cry before diving under water. The water was serene and quiet for a few seconds before the water started to recede from the shore. Moments later, the surf rised up to 20 feet high and towered over the Achen.

"It's Doyle!" He yelled out annoyed that she had gotten his name wrong, "What was yours?" He also walked over to his trainer box and was lifted up. "Watch out Archie!"
The Archen, seeing the worm looking pokemon had been steadily creeping closer even though it put him closer to the water. When the surf attack hit he squawked loudly and ran back. He opened his maw and released a Dragonbreath attack before any commands were issued.

Lecila smiled at the annoyed tone of Doyle. "Got it. Derrick it is." Lecila grinned widely. "My name is Lecila." However, that was as far as introduction as she got when Kashti got hit with a Dragonbreath, causing Lecila to hiss. Hit by his own type. Well, it's expected.
"That was a tough hit to take, Kashti but we can handle it. Let's see if we can freeze it in it's tracks. Use Ice Beam! "
Kashti was almost hesitant with this attack but did it anyway. The Dratini took deep breath and concentrated. The gem on his head started to glow and pulse with energy and a pale blue energy ball started to form at the top of his head. The energy grew to the size of a softball before unleashing. It's goal to freeze.

Doyle shook his head when she stuck with calling him Derrick. He just wouldn't speak to her until she got it right. He sighed and did a face palm when Archie got hit by the Ice Beam and was frozen. "Hope you can take it Archie." He whispered.
Archie didn't even know what hit him. He was too busy celebrating his successful hit that he didn't see the Ice Beam at all.

Lecila whooped with delight that it actually worked! The other times they had tried this it went flop. Kashti was, too, amazed at the success of it. "Good work, Kashti." Lecila praised her Dratini. "We got them where we want them. So let's electrify their world a bit with Thunderbolt!"
Kashti slid out of the water for safety reasons before starting the electric attack. The sparking ball of energy built itself at the gem of Kashti's head but clouds started to form above them, dark ones. It was moments later when a massive electric charge released itself from above and aimed for Archie.

There was nothing to do but watch as Archie got fried by the Thunderbolt attack. This was not Archie's day. Hopefully the Archen would thaw out and turn the battle around.... soon. "Come on Archie...."

"Good work, Kashti." Lecila praised. "We are going to have fried bird tonight." Lecila did not mean that literally of course but still. It doesn't look good for Archie. "Let's cook him a little more. I don't want to get sick. Thunderbolt again!"
Kashti unleashed another electric attack on Archie.

"Oh come on! How can that ice not be melted yet!?" Doyle yelled out in frustration. It was not cool to just have to sit here and watch his pokemon get pummeled with Thunderbolts.

Lecila can see that the Archen is starting to fall, if slowly. There's only so many times before it fall to the fate of all those attacks. Lecila nodded grimly. "This is it. Let's make this count and finish this. Give two good hits and this is over. Use Thunderbolt again."
Kashti almost felt bad for attacking an defenseless pokemon, fellow battler but in order to win, they couldn't go soft. So the dratini once again unleashed another electric attack.

Doyle could not believe that the ice had lasted this long! But there were lots of cracks in the ice and part had fallen away around Archie's head. Not enough that the bird pokemon could move the head but enough that it really felt the Thunderbolt. "Come on come on come on!"
