Roll a six: Electric Field: The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Doyle walked into the stadium. He had run into a female trainer earlier who had immediately asked for a battle. Not one to turn down a challenge, he had accepted. He looked at the Electric field and frowned. It shouldn't pose a problem to his pokemon but they would have to keep on the move. He walked to his trainer box and grabbed a pokeball. She could show up anytime now.

Luna made it to the gym a little late - she was having a word with her Pidgeot who was being a bit too cheeky (again), so she had to do a quick switch out with her other flying type - her honchkrow.
"Sorry I'm late, " She greeted her opponent as she took her place in the trainer area. Looking around, she noticed that it was the electric field. Well darn, Prince was now benefitting from being a stubborn jerk. She pitied Kuu for the disadvanteous field, but she knew her pokemon were strong and that they could work around it.

Doyle shook his head as the female trainer came in. About time she showed up. "It's fine. A two on two battle sounds good, right?" He yelled out. Archie may have some trouble with this field, he forgot that even though the Archen was also a rock type electricity still bothered him.
"Well let's get this started! Go ARK!" He threw his pokeball and out appeared the sneaky Zorua. He thought for a moment about what to do. "Use Dig!"
"Ruuuu" Ark said looking at the field and opponent. She'll have to keep on her toes to avoid the electric discharges. Hearing the attack command sent her digging a hole and disappearing underground. She'd pop up underneath the opponent.

"Sounds great, Luna replied, admiring the zorua for a moment. She had never fought one of those before. This definitely got the battler in her excited. It didn't look quite like an electric type - it had a dark coat so she guessed dark type with perhaps a dish of fire.
Deciding to take the risk, she let out her honchkrow which promptly flew into the air as soon as the ground rumbled under her to reveal the Zorua.
"I sense a bad wind coming, how about you?" Luna commented with a smirk. This was a secret code for the Honchcrow to start emitting a dark ominous wind from every flap of its wings. The wind began to fill the stadium, making it slightly darker and more eerie than before.

Doyle nearly put his head in his hands when Ark's attack missed completely. It didn't help that they were against a Dark/Flying type. This would not be an easy battle for them. Dark types against Dark types did not go well usually. "Alright Ark. Let's switch it up. Hone Claws!"
Ark began scratching her claws together getting them sharp.

"Keep at it," Luna ordered to her Honchcrow as soon as she saw Ark also charge up. They needed go grab any edge they could in this battle!
The honchcrow gave a "honch!" of affirmative as it released even more ominous wind into the stadium.

Seeing the honchcrow using ominous wind to buff itself up made Doyle frown. They would need to keep up the hone claws to do any kind of damage. "Hone Claws again!"

"Ah well, that's good enough," Luna spoke out loud. 'For now at least,' she added in her head. "Let's play the guess-what-type game, huh. Okay Kuu, use Superpower!"
The honchcrow gave an affirmative, signaling she had understood, and surrounded herself in a red aurora. She felt much stronger than she had any time in the past and using all this access power, she dove down at the Zorua.
Luna watched on carefully, trying to assess how much damage the attack would inflict.

Doyle winced as the Superpower hit Ark. "Shake it off! Use Fury Swipes while she's down with you!" He yelled.
Ark had to dodge a discharge of electricity and so didn't see Kuu coming at her. She was hit with the Superpower attack in the side. "Ruuu..." She whined before turning to swipe her claws at the bird pokemon.

Ark was a bit too slow following up because Kuu managed to escape from his claws while darting back into the skies. A smug aura emitted from the bird pokemon. "Honch, honchkrow!" Kuu called out. Luna didn't know how, but the honchcrow could even make her unintelligible words sound like a taunt. She understood it perfectly - ' you're too slow!' And then, while letting the other pokemon stew over those words, Kuu dove down for yet another attack. Ark wasn't that upset over missing and easily dodged the next attack. "Ruuu zoru!" She called back. Probably saying something along the lines that she's fast enough. She didn't even need the command from Doyle as she used another Fury Swipes.

This time, Ark did manage to swipe the bird before Kuu returned back up.
From the side lines, Luna winced. This is why she was worried about her pokemon - sometimes they got a bit too arrogant.
Angry, Kuu did not waste anymore time immediately launching herself at Ark - ignoring the immediate pain of her cuts.

Ark tried her best to get out of the way from the next attack but she wasn't quite fast enough. She took the Superpower attack in the side near her back legs. She fell over and slid across the field a little. She did hop back up, a little slower, and growled. "Ruuuu...." She bared her fangs for a moment before hearing the command.
Doyle winced when Ark was hit again. She wasn't doing that great. "Ark! Teach 'em a lesson! Show them the power of shadows!"
Ark dipped her head a little and then opened her mouth. A giant orb of dark energy began forming before it was shot out towards the Honchcrow.
