If they continued the series, or ever make the movie, what scenes from the books would you like to see that have never been done?
Personally I would love to see the "Wonderful Life" scene from Lister's Bedford Falls life, where Rimmer becomes trapped in a prostitute's body and destroys the entire town of Bedford Fall.
(Sorry this isn't in one of the forums. Please feel free to move it to the right one. I couldn't decide between Book, Movie and General Forum!)

Ooooh! Good topic! Bugger it that I haven't read the books for such a long time... crying So I can't really contribute very well.
Ah smeg it. When I think of something, I'll tell you! sweatdrop

I would like to see Talkie Toaster make Kryten and Cat eat so many rounds of toast that they get sick. I would also like to see that wonderfully sentimental first meeting between Lister and Rimmer, when Lister is a cab driver and takes Rimmer to the android brothel.

I don't know why they passed up so much of the storyline from the books. (Unless the books were written after the series?) I'm going to have to read the books again to see what else they passed over! Wonder if any of it will be in the new movie?

The books were written before the series. But it's like films being based on books, they can never use all of the material.
I wanna know what Rimmer would be like as a sound wave! Also, I would like to see Bexley (Lister's son) driving the car to go get milk for Jim! That would be a sight! There's so much stuff from the book that I would like to see, like Cat's castle lol.

No no - the books were written after the series began. The show itself began as a sketch that was repeated week after week on an obscure television show about Lister's character, although he had a different name. Rob Grant and Doug Naylor scripted these sketches and decided had some potential, so they took it and made it an entire show, changing the character's name to Dave Lister (instead of the name he originally had, because it was the same as a popular footballer's - I forget who) and added in the characters of Rimmer and Cat.
...
That just shows I'm too obsessive over this show, doesn't it? ninja Sorry about that, I just felt the sudden urge to clear it up! sweatdrop
