Miki stood outside her dorm room door, glancing down towards a small note card in her hand then back up towards the door to check the number. There were several suitcases surrounding, most of them piled up on top each other. Today was the day for her create a new start in her life. She wore a dark blue sweaterdress with black leggings underneath and a simple pair of blue shoes to match. With a puzzled look on her face she constantly looked at the door and the note making sure she had the numbers correct. "Room number two-hundred and two. Yep... this is it." She spoke softly as she moved reached into her small pink purse for the room key. As soon as she unlocked the door she stepped in and looked around.
It didn't seem as though anyone else was there but she called out anyway just to make sure. "Hello? Is there anyone here?" She glanced about quickly before making her way further into the room while dragging one of her suitcases. Miki noticed the two room setting and the sliding door between them. So far the rooms looked pretty unimpressive, but with much work Miki could have this place giving off a more comfortable vibe. "I guess I'll start bringing in my things."

 Gumi walked down the halls with her orange goggles over her eyes. She had never taken them off. Ever. She was dressed oddly (but was considered normal for her standards). She had orange sweats and a green sweatshirt on along with a pair of bunny slippers. She had gotten some stares at people when she had come here with her mother, but she really didn't seem to care. She was currently looking for her dorm, but didn't look like she was really searching for it. She had only bought a single (green) suitcase and an (orange) duffle bag, which were both filled with the clothes the colors of orange and green and she refused to bring anything else that color. She lifted up her goggles, revealing the emerald orbs behind them and she scanned the area furiously.
"This is stupid." She said, frustrated that she couldn't find the room. She was offered a map and room number, but told the administrator that she wanted to have an 'adventure' and it was going to be 'fun', so she gave them back. She was wrong. She had be walking around for at least an hour and she had been going in circles. She kicked her suitcase and swore to herself. It toppled over and she sat on top of it, crossing her arms and shutting her eyes and concentration. "The number was two-hundred... two?" She looked at the hallway sign, "One-hundred eighty to two-hundred. Must be close then..." She stood up and picked up her things and started off towards the higher numbered rooms."Two hundred one, ah, here it is, two hundred and- whoa!" The green-haired girl tripped over a suitcase and crashed into the floor. She sat up and looked around. "What the crap?" She asked, confused. "Who just leaves suitcases out here?" She realized the door to her dorm was opened, someone was in there. She picked up her things and dusted herself off and adjusted her goggles and entered the room. "Hellooo? Roomie?" She called. She saw a girl with red hair and smiled, forgetting about her accident with the bags, "Oh, you must be my roommate! I'm Gumi Megpoid." She bowed, seeing that the girl was dressed nicer than she was. She must be rich then! She automatically thought. I'm wearing bunny slippers and she looks like a celebrity. This must be awkward... At least I didn't wear my rabbit hat...

Miki stood there with her hands over her hips still frustrated without the door room seemed so bland. There was so much she had to fix up, and lucky for her she brought just enough equipment for the task. She couldn't decide which room to claim either the one on the right or the one on the left. It was still a great deal amount of work no matter what room. Even if they did look exactly the same there was still a matter of who gets the right or the left room. "Left it is." She mumbled to her self before dragging her bag over to the room. Just as she sat her things down on the bed she heard a loud crash coming from the front door of the dorm. Miki quickly fled her room and glanced about only hearing the voice of someone calling out to her. She looked over to her new room, giving the other female vocaloid a look over before offering a smile. Miki wasn't too impressed with the way she dressed, however she liked the color flow and the slippers were just too adorable to look over. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Gumi Megpoid. I'm SF-A2 Miki, but you can just call me Miki." Miki smiled a little more as she leaned over to the side noticing her luggage was tipped over and left a bit of a mess in the hall. It was really her fault for leaving things there, but still. "You must have tripped over my things. I'm terribly sorry for leaving them blocking the doorway, I had no idea I would be getting a roommate so soon." Miki made her way to the door to grab a few more of her suitcases.
While leaning down to pick up a bit of the clutter she glanced over her shoulder to Gumi. "I've already claimed the room on the left so you can have the one on the right. They're exactly the same it seems." Miki then dragged two more packed bags of luggage into her room then takes another trip out for more. As she passed Gumi once again she paused for a moment and pointed down towards her slippers. "Those are absolutely adorable. You must tell me where you got them." Though Miki had her own pair of slippers, they were normal pink fuzzy slippers nothing like an adorable pair of bunny slippers "I also love the green and orange color scheme you have going. It really brings out your hair color. Makes it pop, I should say." Miki said softly while tossing another set of luggage into her room. She had an urge to attack Gumi’s sweatshirt with a bedazzler and cover the top with a least a sparkly name print, or maybe even an image of something that Gumi would have liked personally, but Miki did not want to over step her boundaries. First impressions leave quite the mark. "Hopefully we can become good friends since we'll be living together for a while." Having said that Miki extended her hand towards Gumi for a friendly handshake. "Let's make the best of it."

Gumi laughed, "It's to meet you to, Miki-san. It's okay, I wasn't really looking though, so it's sorta my fault... Everything is so different from my room back home. It's cleaner and a bit bigger than mine." She looked up and heard her roommate ask her a question. She looked at her slippers. "My slippers...?" She paused to think, "Um... Oh yeah! I found them at my school's lost in found in fifth grade when I went diving in there..." She laughed sheepishly, "I was a weird kid..." She kicked off her slippers, "Uh, well thanks. I never really thought about the way my hair looks with clothes..." She twirled a strand of green hair and extended her hand and shook Miki's. "I hope we become good friends too." She grinned and looked at the handful of Miki's bags. "You need any help? You have way more luggage than me."

Miki laughed along with Gumi as she told her the story about her adorable bunny slippers while firmly shaking her hand. What a lucky way to snag something so adorable. "Well they look absolutely adorable! I'll have to try and make a pair for myself." Miki said kindly while looking back to the rather massive pile of luggage in front of their dorm. To Miki this wasn't exactly over packing. There was just a lot that she knew she was going to need. She actually packed an entire sewing machine and sewing kit. "I guess a little help would be nice if you don't mind. I couldn't leave some things behind. You never know what you're going to need in a fashion crisis, Gumi-san." Miki didn't want to trouble Gumi with any of her heavy suitcases but with the way things were going she might be unpacking for quite a while. Most of her bags were filled with different kinds of fabric for sewing and several beads and small accessories for just about anything she may need. “Have to be prepared for just about anything!”

Gumi stood there, "...Fashion crisis?" She was confused. She was never really in a fashion crisis unless she couldn't find anything to go with the drab outfits her mother sent her. But how could someone get in a fashion crisis? She pulled down her goggles and started to think. Maybe a button could've popped off a shirt or she could rip her pants... How would a ladylike person like Miki rip her pants? Maybe she meant if she got a stain on her shirt and needed to remove the stain. Or maybe she means any situation! She finally got what Miki had meant. "Oh, a fashion crisis!" She exclaimed, pointing her finger in the air. "So you bought sewing supplies and stain removers and things like that, right? That's what you meant! I've never really had a major fashion crisis, so I would never really know." If Gumi stained her shirt, she would probably just walk around with a stain on her shirt for the rest of the day. She adjusted the goggles on her face, "I can help unpack your sewing stuff." She suggested, "Because unpicking someone else's clothes would be weird, you know?"

Miki smiled warmly as she wandered out into the hall. There were lots of times where she was given a uniform to wear that didn't exactly suit her style that she had to readjust and add more onto to make it seem more, Miki-like. She glanced down towards her bags and grabbed a few while glancing over to Gumi. "I just like personalizing my things. It makes them seem more... me." Miki loves it when people notice her from near or far. Just knowing that someone can look and point her out, like screaming fans chanting her name constantly. There is no telling when something like that will happy so she has to look good at all times. "You can help with the sewing things. I have so many fabrics... I just didn't know if I would end up running out of clothing." Grabbing a few large bags she drags them back towards her dorm room, dropping them down onto the floor. "I'm more of a clothing designer. One day I want to have my own line of fashion!" Miki smiled warmly as she reached into her bag removing a rather large sewing machine, placing it on top of her desk. "This is far more important than having a computer in my room!"

Gumi's stood there, listening. "A fashion designer, huh? I'm more of an inventor..." She was cut off by the large sewing machine Miki placed on the table, "That is one big sewing machine..." She said, lifting up her goggles. Then an idea popped in her head. She put her goggles back down on her face-- they made her think better-- and went to her bag and dug out a pencil and some paper and began sketching on it, "Well, if the fabrics are in boxes I could put together a rotating-box system where it would be organized by color, pattern, and size. You could just punch some numbers or something and it could show you which one you want." She explained, letting her inner nerd out, "I could figure out how to make one because it would probably be really expensive if they had one." She held up the sketch she had created, "Well what do you think? It simple enough for me to make."

"An inventor? You could possibly invent something that would make business boom for me!" Miki set back and watched Gumi closely as she got to work sketching away a blue print. She tilted her head slowly trying her best to keep up with where Gumi was going with this, but the sketch was clear proof enough for her. Money wasn't much of a problem for Miki though she wasn’t really rich, but more so well enough on her own to get things that she needed when she needed them. She planed on picking up a part time job soon if she could find something that suits her. "Absolutely fabulous, Gumi-chan! You're quite the inventor! With such great ideas I'm sure you'll get far as well! Maybe we could partner together!" Miki smiled warmly while examining the paper. "Do you really think you can make this? I'd gladly help you find the materials for doing so!"

Gumi laughed, "I''m not the most fashionable person out there, but we could think of something..." She scratched the back of her head, "I think we should work on this first. Great people always start at the bottom." She stated. She flipped over her blueprint and started writing a list. "We'll need a clothing rack that rotates, boxes with the little labels on them, a keypad, and two liters of carrot juice." She looked at Miki, "Well, I'm not going to fail." Please don't let this one explode. She silently prayed. Most of her inventions ended up exploding in someone's face and if it did, I didn't last very long. There was approximately forty-nine experiments that had failed, twelve that didn't last very long, and two that she had successfully created. (A potato clock when she was in fourth grade and an automatic turtle feeder when she was eleven.) She sighed, remembering all the failures she had experienced. "I miss my turtle..." She thought aloud, mentioning her turtle who apparently ran away when she and her family had forgotten to turn on the turtle feeder. Either that or Gertie decided to reside in his shell for the rest of his life.

If there was one thing Miki could create it was strictly clothing and accessories, but anything more is a bit much for her. As Gumi spoke Miki pictured everything in her head, just seeing how the set up would look in her room. Something like an active clothing rack would prove to be quite useful and keep her even more organized. She could organize things by brand, color, and size. "Even if you're not into much of fashion we could still work well together. Your ideas are just painting the perfect picture for me." Miki reached into her purse and flipped open her phone punching in a few numbers.
"Just let me know exactly everything you need and I'll have them delivered here as soon as possible." Miki had all sorts of connections but she's worked hard for everything that she has. When Gumi mentioned a turtle Miki tilted her head a little more while kneeling down a bit. "You had a turtle?" Now a turtle wasn't the type of pet for Miki, but the way she pictured it was simply an adorable green turtle with a pink ribbon tied to it. Maybe even a star print over it's shell. "What happened to it, Gumi-san?" Gumi had Miki's thoughts flowing constantly trying to figure out herself exactly what's going on. The only pets Miki had to herself were her Siamese cat, Princess, and her albino ferret, Poptart. She never thought about keeping any reptiles.

Gumi looked up and put the tip into her mouth. "A turtle? Oh, my turtle, Gertie..." She sighed, "Well, Gertie was a turtle I had and I built an automatic feeder for him and we went on vacation and my I sorta forgot to turn on his feeder. He never came out his shell, so went sent him to the big pond in the sky." She cleared her throat, "Well, I have a snake and an iguana now. They weren't as cool as Gertie though." She grinned at the memories of her friends' mortified expression when they saw her pets. That really wasn't a good memory for her friends. "Oh, yeah! The list." She held up the list she had written. She smiled, "Here you go!"

Miki tilted her head just a bit as Gumi went on. It seemed she had quite the liking towards reptiles but Miki didn't have a problem with that. If anything Miki was a supporter for mostly all exotic animals under the line of fire of being turned into some new fashionable item. Though fashion was indeed her passion harming animals and reptiles for their skin and fur was not on the list of likes. All fluffy and fur like items she kept were completely made synthetically. "That's such a sad story, but I'm sure your turtle is in a much better place." As soon as Gumi handed her the list Miki quickly looked it over while keying in the words into her phone. "I wonder if we could have pets in our dorm.. that's something I'll have to ask Meiko-senpai about.. I mean as long as we keep everything clean and don't let them escape. It would be nice to have our pets here, don't you think Gumi-san?"

Gumi nodded, "It's a good idea, but I don't think that would be a good idea for my snake though. She's really big... And carnivorous. I think she would eat someone else's pet... But I could bring my iguana! He's really cool." She grinned and stretched. "My mum works at a local pet rescue place and this reptile scientist was retiring and gave them to her. And she gave them to me as a Christmas present. Hey Miki-san, what kind of pets do you have?" She asked, pulling her goggles back on top of her head. A person like Miki would have something sophisticated, like a poodle or a cat or a horse! She thought. But she could have a pet snake or something like that too...

Miki thought to herself for a moment about having a snake around the place. She didn't mind snakes but the thought of it eating someone else’s pet would cause a lot of trouble. "That's pretty cool though, about your mom." Miki unzipped one of her bags pulling out a few small photos that she kept of her pets. "I have a Siamese cat and albino ferret." Though she was pretty well taken care of she kept her pets limited to a rather fancy spoiled cat and a well-trained ferret. "Here's a picture of them. The cat's name is Princess and the ferret's name is Poptart." She extended her hand towards Gumi showing her the photo of her pets.
