The events up to now had utterly confused Reine, but she was sick and tired of thinking about everything. Grumpily, she threw the blanket aside and stared at the ceiling. Nothing was going to go anywhere just lying here. Dressing quickly, she threw on her jacket, brushed and tied her hair, and walked out of the room.

A new day! Hopefully one that would go better than the ones before it. What would she do today, though? Check out the rest of the compound, or look in the labs? Find someone to practice with? As far as she knew, she hadn't been assigned to any duties yet, which meant free time.

Otto liked sleeping in. He liked it a lot. However, somehow he wasn't able to sleep quite as long as he would have liked. Perhaps he was still adjusting to his new home. With a groan, the young man rolled out of bed; literally. There was a thud, murmurings and short curses before he got around to getting himself dressed.

He spent a short while staring at his stark white walls and wishing he could deface them. Alas, nothing to do such things with.

Instead, he decided to take a walk. But the moment he opened his door and took a step out into the hall, two familiar girls caught his attention. "Oh <********>, yer my neighbors?" He grouched.

Eva was quick to return the hug, relieved to see that Reine seemed to be alright. Whether she was hiding anything or not, she didn't know, but...it really wasn't her business, was it? She wouldn't pry if it was personal. God knows that she had plenty of secrets that she wanted to keep to herself as well (or at least share once she was ready, which was most definitely not right now).

"Breakfast? That would be grea--"

Eva glanced to the side when she heard the door across the hall swing open. At first, she just stared at Otto blankly, and then her lips spread into a cheshire grin. Well well well, what did we have here? Both Reine and Otto? I think I'm going to like my neighbors.

"Good morning, kid!" She chirped, following Reine's lead. Reaching out, she grabbed one of his arms and gave him a little tug. "Reine and I were going to go grab breakfast. Come with us."

It wasn't a question.

"Yeeepp," Reine smirked. "Now behave, or we'll have to leash you again, won't we?" Glancing meaningfully at Eva, she took Otto's other arm, pulling him down the corridor.

"How 'bout pancakes? Though I like mine with just butter. Either of you from Canada? I'd like to see someone down a whole bottle of maple syrup- I hear they do that!" Chattering happily and pointedly ignoring Otto's grouching, she felt- for the first time since coming here- completely relaxed.

"Gotta feed this one up, eh, Eva?" she beamed. "You know, I used to live on a farm, long long ago..."

Leash him? Oh..oh these girls were just asking for a world of hurt! Reine took his other arm, and both girls dragged him down the hall. There was fussing. Oh was there fussing, but eventually he resigned himself to being led. Again, cause they were heading the same way anyway.

"Ew. Why would anyone down an entire container of syrup? That's just nasty." Otto commented, making a sour face. Otto was clearly not from Canada.

Otto flinched at the jabbing from Eva, kicking her ankle in retaliation. "Am not." He grumbled.

His gaze kept to the floor, letting the girls lead him, occasionally glancing at his surroundings. "Farm? Sounds boring as all Hell."

Otto received a lovely pinch to the arm in retaliation for the kick, but Eva let him go as he was shoved into the cafeteria. "I wouldn't keep my hopes up--this is caf food," She sighed, walking alongside Reine, "But hey, I would totally try taking over the kitchen if that meant pancakes instead of gloop!" Her high school had served the latter, and it was what prompted Eva to bring her own lunch everyday. She remembered that one time where she forgot to bring a lunch and had to settle for the gloop...

The young woman suddenly shuddered violently.

"Honestly, living on a farm seems pretty cool! My parents and I just lived in a small town--nothing exciting ever happened, so they liked to grasp onto any strange rumors or gossip. Like me." She grinned sheepishly as she followed after Otto and Reine, heading towards the food.

She may have been crossing her fingers and repeating "not gloop" in her head all the while.

"Was a pony farm, actually," Reine grinned. "But I didn't stay there long." Shrugging, she followed the other two into the cafeteria, hoping to distract them so they wouldn't ask more. Clearly, the way to do that was by yelling:

"PAAAAAAAANCAAAAAAAAAKES~" Skipping over to the counter, she threw an arm over Otto, ignoring the weird looks from people around, then beckoned to Eva.

"Huh. There's... blue gloop, brown gloop, and I don't want to know what that is gloop... errghhhhhh. Don't they even have cereal around here?" Grimacing, she looked up at the worker, putting on her best cuteface.

"He means, pancakes, sir, pretty please?"

There had to be ingredients for pancakes lying around... there HAD to be. Unless 'I don't know what that is gloop' was actually soylent green, and... in that case, she didn't want to know what the other kinds of gloop... were....

Sigh. SIGH. Always touching Otto, never not. He winced as Reine yelled, casting her a sideways glance.

Still, Otto would much rather have pancakes than.. whatever this was.

"This ain't seriously food, is it?" He muttered, shifting uncomfortably. Otto wasn't picky about food per se, but that only applied to food. "Sure it ain't just paint?"
