"Here, flip a coin."
The girl-child obeyed. The coin landed crisply on the back of her small, slender hand, and softly she shielded it beneath her palm.
"Let me guess..."
The man put a finger to his forehead and hummed playfully.
"Heads."
The child lifted her hand. It was heads.
She put her hand back on the coin, then lifted it again.
It's tails now.
"Good," the man smiled, and put his palm against the coin. His palm lifted, and the coin disappeared.
"Supper time," the man said, then he also disappeared out the door.
The small girl sat on her bed, with no expression, and no coin. Her long silver hair drooped over her sailor blouse, and the folds of her white frilled skirt were spread out around her. Sitting by her black stuffed rabbit, the pale girl looked and felt like a doll. A doll --- pale, idle, and silent.
"Elyse! Come to supper!"
So the doll moved to her feet.

As of now... Elyse and Esrey are currently in a city around Idia, Helena.

Elyse and Esrey has yet to travel.
