Sheria for the most part had learned her lesson about wandering through a dark forest alone at night, especially with the scoldings she recieved after the incident but what about the wide open field, where many soquili went to graze? It was only a short wander through the river and a straight path leading out of it from where the pack lived. Supervision had been stricter on her than ever before but that wouldn't stop her, when she was in that mind frame, nothing did. She found ways and as soon as a game of hide and seek came around, she took her chance to go explore once more! In a more... Settled area, where she wouldn't ask if a stranger would like to hunt with her.
Now knowing that she could be the hunt!
There wasn't much in the grassy area, just a field that stretched for miles and two mountain ranges that faded out either end in to the distance. She kept walking, the cool night reflected upon the blades of grass that swept by her ankles, she was admiring the night sky as she made her way through it. The stars had never been so clear and the moon had never seemed so full and beautiful before. It was because of this that she hadn't anticipated the hole she was heading straight for, when she lost her footing, all that came next was a spiralling world, spinning out of control with wierd objects either side coming to her vision like a wild blur.
It made her sick to her stomach, turning and tingling then next there was nothing. Everything was black and she fell sound asleep to the new world she had landed in.

Mushroom hunting! A new thing that Teacups had found rather amusing. With every different, multi-coloured mushroom that came a long she would test out the effects, from raw to being cooked. Some would make heartland scary and terrifying and others would make it even more colourful and whacky. Others were dull and boring, just making you want to sleep. She had a couple of close calls, where the effects had worn off and where she had thought she was rolling in a patch of buttercups she was actually being taken down stream, having to quickly scramble out of it before the current got too strong.
It wasn't that often that she would leave her brothers and sisters sides but sometimes you needed to do things on your own, which is why she had taken it upon herself to create some unnusual and fun hobbies in her spare time. Poking her nose against a blue and yellow spotted mushroom, she sniffed at it, it smelled sweet. All sweet things were delicious, according to the snacks at the amusement park so she chomped it and swallowed it whole. Simply standing there with her eyes rolled up to the sky and her face lop sided in wait to see what this one would do to her, if it would do anything at all.
She started on a stroll through the forest, it only lasted a few minutes to her but it was hours in fact, the world had slowed down, everything was in slow motion; sway of the tree's, the birds flying ahead she was wowed by it... Until she stumbled over a large lump of something on the ground, once she hit the floor she immediately snapped out of the trance like state that had taken over and her eyes shot over to where she had tripped.
There was another filly like her. Looking either way and super curious that there was another, not so much like the soquili she was used to, she rushed back on to her feet and to her side, peering over the body with wide eyes.
"where did you come from!?" She asked aloud, out of thought as she prodded the filly's side with her right front hoof.

"Urghhh..." Sheria grumbled coming around to a hazy view. Her vision was starting to clear but the light headed feeling was still there. A voice sounded too loud for her taste right in her ear hole and something hard was digging in to her side repeatedly. "5 more minutes..." She mumbled, turning over and closing her eyes again. It was then as she was slowly becoming more awake that the voice clicked a switch on somewhere in her brain. That voice was female, bright not slow and dark lipped. That's when she shot up quickly back on to her hooves.
She wasn't sure what to take in first, the cat like girl by her side plastered in vibrant colours or the world of unknown she had fallen in to. Where the hell was she? How long had she been gone? Her mother was going to kill her! She had only meant to go on a quick stroll and now she was here, the memories of the fall flooding her mind along with the many questions she had. She didn't have the answers but turning her shocked, mildly bewildered gaze upon the filly in front of her told her that the cat girl would.
Strange. Her tail wasn't fluffly like she was used to seeing with her family being a pack of wolves instead it was snake like.. Almost like, the one who tried to eat her.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Stay away from me! Don't eat me I don't taste good I swear!" She backed up terrified by the agile like foal, afraid she would have the same ideas as the other cat that had hunted her not long before. This was a bad idea, a really bad idea. What had she been thinking!?

Teacups watched, very amused at the filly it was like she hadn't even realised she was standing there. Her tail swayed side to side idly, ears twitching as her eyes followed the awaking foal; slowly coming to grips with life once more. 'Yes, helloooooo I'm alive. ANYBODY IN THERE.' she rolled her eyes as the filly seemed to stare at her a lot longer than was really neccessary and people said she was strange, geez they should of gotten a load of this one.
Then the shriek came.
Teacups jumped out of her skin! All her hair stood up on end, eyes wide ready to pop out of there sockets. She hissed out of fright then calmed once silence had gathered between them and the situation sunk in. She thought Tea was going to eat her? What a whack job! The cat burst in to a fit of giggles, moulding back in to a lax posture. Knee's bending and sides cramping as the laughter continued to pour out.
"Oh you're funny! Eat you? Why would I want to do that? Plus I just ate a load of funky mushrooms, I have no need to eat something as big as you. Never would try to either. Why do you eat others?" She paused, at the idea and stared at the foal blinking blankly with her small fangs poking out over the top of her bottom lip. "What do they taste like, is it good? Hmmm I wouldn't of thought of that before!" Now she was stuck on the idea that people at one another which wasn't good when telling someone as crazy as she was something like that.

Sheria's posture quickly relaxed. The other soquili had assumed that she was the one eating others. Eyes thinning out in to straight lines, dumbfound by the kittens laughter, she sighed closing her eyes and then reopened them. "I have never eaten another one of us and I never will." She stated sternly, ears flattening as a flash of remembrance hit her, making her shudder momentarily.
"I can't imagine we would taste good or why we would want to eat each other. That is crazy talk." Her eyes drifted off to one side, front legs crossing over one another to turn and walk away. Suddenly, she didn't feel inclined to explore any further or continue talking to this girl. She just wanted to go home. Saddened and scared by the memories that were haunting her again.
'It's too soon...' She thought, inside she was battling against it. She wasn't a coward, she made it through that event. Barely but she did, perhaps it was just the familiar assets of the foal that were making her flee. She didn't know and in that moment she didn't want to know, neither did she care.
"Stick to the funky mushrooms..." She muttered.

Teacups wasn't laughing any more nor did she feel the pain that the other girl was feeling. She wouldn't be able to understand that pain because she had never been in a bad situation, especially where someone had wanted to eat her. She couldn't help frowning as she watched her continue in the opposite direction, leaving her stood there. It came in to Teacups mind that the girl was leaving all too quickly and almost sounding too desperate, she shouted a plea in protest towards her feelings of disappointment.
"Wait!"
Running to catch up with her, when she reached her side her hooves inherited a spring to them to keep up the fast walking pace of the other. "Why are you so sad and why are you leaving!?" Her mind tried to recall what the problem was. 'Was it something I said? Did I do something mean? Oh what could it be!?' She bit her lip as she tried to conclude the answer within the many possibilities and then when she couldn't pin point the problem, pouted.
Instead, she just decided to ask the obvious question. "Why do I scare you?"

'Why do you care so much?' Sheria growled in thought, the other girl sure knew how to pry for an answer. She didn't know how to feel about confiding in a complete stranger, in fact confiding in someone at all was rare for her. The only one she felt she could truly talk to was her brother and it was still hard trying to get any alone time with him due to her mother; always watching.
Her eyes were starting to well up, becoming red, bloodshot whilst the conflicting feeling of them being dry and moist at the same time burned them, targeting her throat next. She hated herself for it. Crying in front of someone else, it was shameful and she felt weak and disgusted by it. This was due to the effort the kitten was making as she tried to get her to stay by asking a bombardment of questions.
It was all rather overwhelming.
"Stop with the questions!" She sobbed, coming to an abrupt stand still. "You want to know? Fine!" She tried to gather her emotions but she couldn't stop the tears, they kept coming and everything inside her continued to burn as if she was on fire.
"I wandered away from my family at night. They watch me like a hawk. I just wanted to play! See the world... Is that so bad?" She couldn't bring herself to look at the other, her lids were now pressed tight to one another. "I went too far and there was someone in the tree above me. All I wanted to do was play... I asked if he wanted to hunt with me but..." She sniffled, crumbling at the memory. It was so hard for her to say but she pushed herself for there was no reason to stop now. "He wanted to hunt me instead."
Her sobbing became quiet little hics after that and she didn't say anything for a while. Trying another attempt at calming and gathering herself was less work than before and she took in a deep breath ready to continue. Opening her eyes, they landed on the cat-like figure. "The only reason I survived was because of my mother. If she hadn't of come the skinwalker would of eaten me."

Teacups frowned at the distressed foal. She couldn't fathom the idea of being eaten by something or someone. She stopped just after the other filly had and had turned to face her whilst she was telling her this tragic story. Around her, the colourful scenery didn't come across as bright as it once was, not after hearing something as awful as that and yet, she couldn't help but feel helpless herself when there was no need to.
She had never dealt with someone breaking down before her and it was no wonder, she was just a foal after all. The only ones who had cried in her short little life in front of her were her siblings when they fell and bump a knee whilst playing or bit each other too hard by accident. This sadness wasn't something she had ever known.
'What can I do?' She asked herself though her instincts told her to comfort this poor soul, she didn't know how to. She stood there in the silence with the other for long time, feeling uneasy with the others gaze upon her. It still didn't answer the question why just seeing her had brought all this on. She wondered what her dad would do in this situation.
He would smile at her, nuzzle her, cuddle her and tell her it was ok. Yes, that was what her daddy would do and perhaps she could offer the same kindness he would have. She picked up her frown, in a small smile filled with warmth and walked towards the other girl slowly, pressing her nose against hers.
"It's okay. You don't have to be scared anymore. It's okay because I'm here." She chuckled. "I'll fight off any mean old adults that come marching. Nobody eats my friend!" Her ears were now upright, they had made their way up there in her speech of dedication and reassurance. She liked this girl. She was stubborn, scared yet she was brave enough to overcome her fears and her emotions to tell her a secret.
Regardless of the sadness, she could tell they were going to be good friends, if not best friends and it didn't matter why she had been so scared of her anymore. She just wanted her new friend to be happy again.
"Now come on, want to have some fun with me?" She smiled, tail wiggling madly behind her.

Even after feeling all that sorrow. she couldn't help but feel eased as it faded away, genuine comfort and warmth flooding in to her in it's place. Sheria smiled shyly back at Teacups and nuzzled her. It was what she needed, it was bizarre but it was the kindness she could show to someone who had accused her of being a cannibal, someone she had no idea about and still be able to listen to their problems and smile at them at the end, no matter how bad it was or how horrible they had been to her.
Anyone who could do that was worth being called a friend.
She nodded to accept her offer. "Fun sounds good..." She gave a light laugh, her own tail flicking side to side happily. "My names Sheria by the way." She flashed her a pearly grin and whilst knowing the kitty would be off guard by the introduction she moved forwards and nudged her. Kicking off the ground she bolted away from the filly, laughter filling the air like a roar followed with the words "Tag! You're it!"

Teacups gasped at the sudden get a way the other soquili made. Her nose wriggling as she remained still only being able to watch as the other made her way in to the luscious forest of Heartland. When she realised she better get a move on before Sheria was lost for good in the tropical maze, her lips twitched in to a grin from ear to ear, her feline instincts kicking in to set chase and finally set off after her, bouncing from one set of hoof prints to the next.
She ended up in the middle of a set of tree's back to a stand still after a while. Eyes scoping the vines that hung down beside her, the holes in the tree's to see if she could see any hints of silver catching the light and then to the bushes. Keeping her ears open for any sounds she sniffed at the floor where the prints ended then lifted her nose back in to the air, her eyes filling with a gleam of excitement.
She crouched down low, creeping across the floor, then leaped in to a bush next to the nearest tree. 'Damn, it's empty! Then where is she?' She blinked rapidly, rear end sticking in the air with a tail as straight as a pole. It was a trick!
Rustles started a long the bush in front of her, becoming louder and getting closer, her eyes widening as she observed it quietly and before she knew it, the other filly had thrown herself at her and the two went tumbling across the ground in a fit of laughter and chimes from Teacups piercings.
"This is so fun." She smiled, all four legs in the air as the two were on their backs next to each other looking at one another. "I'm Teacups" She finally had chance to return the introductions. "Teacups Airay."
The two of them saw a future where they would never be separated for very long after this... But being children, they were simply blissfully unaware what the future had in store for them.
