Jazi was not usually the type of lioness to approach others. She preferred keeping to herself, mostly because when she did approach others she generally made a mess of things and it all just ended very badly. It was much easier to just hang out on her own, with Tooki and Painti for company. But, while she was flying low over the rogue lands she spotted a blue glowy lioness, which was not so odd on its own. Jazi herself was rainbow coloured after all. But what was odd was that the lioness was sitting and staring into the sun, eyes wide open. She had to imagine that would hurt.
Her curiosity overwhelming her Jazi circled lower until she landed, only stumbling once before she caught her balance. She still needed to work on that, but at least she did not run into anything this time. The Goddess's back leg kicked out as if she was trying to rid herself of the basket that was wrapped around her paw, but she didn't seem to realize she had made the motion. The basket had been there so long it was second nature to try and rid herself of it even if it never worked no matter how hard she tried.
Approaching the lioness, the Goddess of Clumsiness folded her wings against her back making herself look smaller- not that she wasn't small enough already. She just did not like to come off as intimidating when she approached others as a Goddess. Plus, the wings immediately gave her away as more than just a lion.
She got right up close to the blue lioness, but the other did not even seem to notice her presence. Unsure of what to do next the Goddess cleared her throat, but even that did not get a reaction. After another moment she risked making actual noise. ”Uhm, excuse me?” The lioness seemed to still be in some kind of trance, but then after a moment, to Jazi's surprise, she actually spoke- even if it was only one word.
”Yes?” Radi didn't look away from the Sun as she spoke, it was right in the middle of a terrific story and she didn't want to miss any of it. Of course, no one else could hear the story, but that did not matter to her, all that mattered was that she could hear it loud and clear. She had heard the lioness approaching her earlier, but she had not turned around to look for her. Over the years many had approached her while she was communing with the Sun, most of them wanted to know what she was doing. They never believed her when she explained.
Jazi looked a bit uncomfortable when the blue lioness still didn't look at her. “Well, I was just wondering, doesn't that hurt? Staring at the sun that way. Without blinking, or anything.” She clamped her maw shut after she spoke. Was that a rude question? She was not sure, maybe it was. She had never been all that good with tact as Painti was constantly telling her.
Radi took a moment thinking about if she really wanted to break off her conversation with the Sun and humour the lioness' questions. With a sigh she finally tore her eyes away from the great ball of flame, if she didn't answer her questions the lioness might never go away and then she'd never get back to what she had been doing. When she looked at the lioness that was questioning her it revealed her eyes that were nearly the same colour as the sun, but they were unfocused. Radi was almost completely blind only able to see indistinct shapes and blurry colours. “Not anymore, it warms me.”
Jazi took a step back, surprised when she saw the other's eyes. She could tell there was something wrong with the other lioness' eyes , but she was not exactly sure what it was. Just that it was not right. “But what are you doing? Couldn't you just get warm by lying in the sunlight? Maybe on a rock, warm rocks are very nice.”
The blue lioness sighed, blinking as she stared at some point over Jazi's shoulder. Another one who did not understand her bond with the Sun. She was not surprised though, she was not sure if she would ever find someone who understood. “I'm talking with it”
Jazi paused, tilting her head to the side. “Talking with what?”
The lioness' answer was simple, as if it was obvious and Jazi was just too dumb to see it. “The Sun.”
Jazi began to laugh, thinking she was joking but then she stopped when she realized the other lioness wasn't laughing. “But...it doesn't talk back does it?” She had never heard of the sun talking.
Radi turned her face back to the sun, eyes opening wide. “It does to me.”
For a long moment Jazi just stood there, not comprehending what exactly was going on. After a second she looked up at the sun, trying to see if it would talk to her, but the only thing it did was burn her eyes and make her squint. Quickly she looked away and back to the blue lioness.
“What does it talk to you about?”
Radi sighed again, she had thought this one would finally go away. “Everything, anything. It's my best friend.”
Jazi wasn't getting any less confused, in fact she was getting more confused every time the other lioness spoke. “Okay,” She nodded and began to step away. Maybe it was best just to leave the lioness be, she obviously wasn't completely there in the head and she didn't seem to appreciate her questions.
“Well, I'll just be going now I guess.”
The blue lioness didn't even blink. “Good bye.”
Jazi gave the lioness one last long look before she turned away and pumped her wings, once twice, and took off into the sky.
