Clover felt the warmth of the sun mixed with the cool air of the fall day as she walked out of the "Harvest is soon." she said as she adjusted the strap on her art kit on her shoulder.
It seemed like a nice slow day one that she could use to draw. It reminded her a little of the farm. She walked around with an eye out looking around for something to catch her eye. Then she heard a Meow from up above her and the black fluffy-tailed cat of hers was walking along side her. Dubhán blinked at her and Clover chuckled "What you want me to draw you Dubhán?" she asked the cat some what amused.
Dubhán blinked at her as if to say "of coarse." Clover smiled and found a near by rock and sat on it and started to draw the black cat on the stone wall.

Flint ran about the grounds, flapping his costume's wings, making small screeching noises like he were a bat. He jumped down from rock to rock, stopping suddenly, frozen like a deer in the headlights as he saw another student close by.
He cleared his throat, feeling the cool rock warming under his feet as he dug his dirty toes into it. His eyes rounded, his gaze locked on the other as he observed her for a moment. She seemed to be drawing. He began fiddling with his fingers, feeling awkward about the situation. He knew he should approach her and at least say hello, but he was afraid to.
He felt that familiar lump forming in his throat as he felt his jitters coming along. He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to center himself. They were in a large, open space. He certainly didn't have to be afraid of getting closed in somewhere or facing a thousand of this girl. She was just one, and he one.
Two...
Only two. That was certainly not a number to fear! Flint hopped down the rocks, sliding down the last one as his toes met soft, moist grass. He walked over to her, clearing his throat as he scratched the back of his neck, unsure of himself.
"H-hello. I see you're drawing. I like to draw too!" he announced, instantly wishing he hadn't.

Clover looked down from Dubhán on the stone wall to boy who had announced himself. She ajusted herself on the stone she was sitting on and smiled. "Hay, Yeah I like to draw. I like the bat wings." she said not at all bothered by having been interrupted. "The ears are kind of cool too." she added.
She didn't remember seeing him last year but that was fine, "You're first year here at Hogwarts?" she asked "Name's Clover Heartwel." she added. "And up there." she said pointing up at the black cat. "He's Dubhán." she said looking back at the cat who was looking at the boy as if judging him.
Cover went back to drawing the black cat though still interested in the boy asked. "So like it here so far?" she asked as she worked on the broken wall and placement of Dubhán on the wall.

Flint's hand moved as if of its own will as she complimented his costume. A small half-smile played at his lips. He felt elated when anyone would compliment his work. This was his most favorite out of all his costumes, and thus her small likings of his work, was the best statements he'd receive of the day.
"Yeah. I'm-I'm a first year." Flint said softly as he warily watched the cat. He wasn't too fond of them actually... They didn't seem fond of him either. Perhaps it was the wings. Or maybe they could just smell weird.
His bright eyes fixated on her upon her last question. He looked around the environment for a moment, his gaze locking on the castle. He sighed heavily. "I'm Flint. And...I'm...not sure yet." At least he answered truthfully.
He began to fidget with his fingers again, trying to find something to say, but not finding the words to do so. He blinked at her a few times, staring at her hair. "I like your hair." His eyes rounded in shock at his blunt statement. He hoped that was a normal thing to say...
If he were in a fantasy land, that would probably lead to a romantic relationship, and that was not what he meant. He just liked the color of it! He felt sick to his stomach suddenly. Maybe hiding in his room would have been better today...
"Uhm...what're you drawing?" he said quickly, trying to recover from his panic and prayed that statement previously, was considered normal...

Clover glanced over at how he reacted a little amused. He was was another one who fidgeted. She smirked a bit when he comented on her hair. "Thanks." she said glancing up at Dubhán on the wall.
She chuckled slightly as how he asked her what she was drawing. "I'm drawing Dubhán up there on the wall." she said "Don't worry about it messing up like that. You got sorted into Ravinclaw right?" she asked looking down at her drawing.
"If you want to sit on the rock you can I won't bite. Dubhán won't ether he's part Kneazle. That's why he's watching you." she added. scooting over a bit looking back up at Dubhán and the way the broken wall was.
