The story so far...

With the defeat of Valentine and the accords signed, the shadowhunters and the downworlders returned to their respective places of origin.

However, not all is well. In Los Angeles, the slaughtering of downworlders ensues with no clear motive or purpose.

Bodies turn up mutilated, burned, maimed, skewered, and others simply go missing. With no clear motive from the killers, the shadowhunters are as baffled as the downworlders are.

As more and more bodies turn up, the downworlders grow angry. They thought the shadowhunters were supposed to protect them, yet they continued to be slaughtered like animals. With war between Shadowhunters and Downworlders about to ensue, who can stop it from happening?

Could it be that another Shadowhunter is carrying on valentine's work? Or is it something much darker and much more sinister? Time will only tell...
