Magnetite strode down a back street, far enough from the hustle and bustle of the evenings activity to avoid notice, but close enough to hear it. He still felt a little alien to his situation. He was the new guy, and he did NOT like that. Still, being the new guy was the easiest way to get a handle on what he was supposed to do in his new role as a negaverse agent. He watched down the alleys to the main street as he walked, he knew enough not to walk out in the open carrying his bokken and wearing this outfit.

And all at once he felt it. Darkness, deeper than his, stronger. How much stronger, he couldn't tell, but definitely stronger. He moved toward the source of it. He could only assume it was an ally, he hadn't felt Senshi yet but this felt somewhat similar to Painite, but different. He couldn't tell how yet.

He peered around the edge of an alleyway. The darkness seemed to be coming from here. Ever on edge, he had his bokken in hand.

Perhaps at first he didn't look too different from a normal person but than upon closer inspection it was perhaps the coat and maybe the boots, the pants as well, which stuck out or perhaps it was the three combined which stood out. The style the ash blond wore certainly didn't seem in time with this day and age and once one took note that he was a teenager it became even more stand out, no teenager would dress as he was dressed. But the funny thing was was he was used to it, he even liked his uniform.

The warmth it afforded him allowed him to remain out for hours, where as others would not be able to stay out for an hour. Even as he hung about the alley, the darkness shadowing his fair and boyish features, he felt someone coming near. Someone new but certainly chaotic in nature. The darkness was hard to miss by now for him, he'd been around other Captains and Lieutenants as well as Generals. This was a Lieutenant he felt and so he didn't move from the alley. They seemed to be coming toward his location, whether they'd stop or not he didn't know. When it seemed they had stopped he pushed off the brick wall he'd been leaning against casually. His head lifting and blond bangs moving about his face as he turned toward the back opening of the alley.

"Good evening." Proper and calm, his voice just above a whisper. Eyes the color of wet slate were focused and unblinking as they stared, waiting for this person to show them self. No weapon, of his, was insight. But one really could never tell with how diverse the weapons of negaverse agents were.

As he moved there was a sway to his hips, one foot moved in front of the other similar to a models walk, the heels of his boots hitting the ground with a gentle click before the toes touched. There was a certain sureness to him, a confidence that was new but there.

Magnetite stepped into the mouth of the alleyway. The man, well, kid, before him felt strong, but looked young. The contrast was glaring to Magnetite.

"Good evening."

No uneasiness was present in Magnetite's voice, he at least seemed sure of himself standing at the end of the alley. He did, however, clutch his bokken in his hand.

He tried to remember what he had been told about this war. This person seemed like a negaverse agent, like himself.

"Who do I have the pleasure of addressing this evening?" He asked presumptuously. Magnetite’s mouth was once again writing checks his swinging arm might not be able to cash.

Perhaps his mouth was doing that but it wasn't going to end in him having to cash them, at least not tonight. Short and petite, only standing three inches over five foot, the ash blond stopped and took a moment to look the other over slowly. Slate eyes moved from head to foot and back up.

"A better weapon then I started off with, it'll do well." Ever a nice way to start a conversation, but it was something which had caught his attention and wouldn't be over looked.

"This evening it is your pleasure to meet Captain Benitoite." Polite and proper as he offered a hand even as he gave a very slight inclination of his head. "And to whom am I looking upon?" If only the man knew that the child, teenager, in front of him had a weapon that was a good deal larger than the wooden bokken he held. It would be interesting to see how he'd take seeing his weapon, but he didn't summon it.

Magnetite looked as his bokken.

"Oh, this? I call it Sear, and we’ll have to see how it serves."

He passed it over to his left hand, holding it by the blade nonthreateningly instead of having it prepared. He used his right to shake the offered hand.

"Lieutenant Magnetite, at your service."

He gave a curt nod as well.

"Out and about in my new outfit, looking for senshi and other such threats. You?"

Captain. Right. This was an organization, so he was low in the ranks. He would need to at least SEEM to respect his superiors; actually respecting them would take a more concentrated effort.

His hand dropped to his side once the hand shake was over, only to be raised again to brush his hair from his face. "Gathering energy, I don't go out looking for senshi. I'd prefer to not go out looking, should I do so luck would perhaps curse me to run in to an Eternal senshi or one of those children...." The way he said the last word indicated something, something painful or something he had some great emotion for. The idea he was calling someone else a child, considering his own age, whoever he refereed to had to be young.

"I do hope you can fight well if your out looking for senshi and are prepared for what they can dish out. They are rather....unpredictable." What with all sorts of random magic types, from defensive to offensive or to those who relied more on physical fighting. As of yet he wasn't sure which he disliked dealing with more, type wise. Though the mouthy ones, who liked to insult and assume things about you, were the worst - always.

"Tell me, Lieutenant, do you have any questions you'd like to ask me. Whether they be personal, within reason, the war, or our side I will do my best to answer them." It was his duty to help the new members and he would do that, to the best of his abilities. It would not be beneficial if he didn't offer whatever resources and help he could, so he extended his offer.

"Actually..."

He scratched his chin at the mention of it.

"I do have a few questions. Things General Painite covered but didn’t really sink in at all. Like energy collection for instance. I'm not too sure how or why we do this. And where? I'm really only clear on the general concept. Go get energy. I didn't ask questions because I assumed it would fill itself in."

He bit his lip, thinking about what the captain had just said.

"And on this issue of Senshi, what exactly CAN they dish out? I have yet to have a run in with any."

"One thing I've learned is to ask questions, things may or may not fill themselves in and sometimes it may not be in a good way." Shrugging as he spoke, a simple and slight gesture.

"Energy is from civilians, we gather it because we need it." Biting his bottom lip, a brief action, he tapped his foot for a moment as he wondered how to word things and explain whilst being brief as well. Finally he spoke. "I can take you with me to gather energy and show you. As for what we use it for I know only one reason, though I'm sure there are more reasons than just the one." And while he said to ask questions he hadn't, the reason being he didn't think he'd learn it in a hard way. That was one thing he couldn't see learning a hard way, it didn't seem possible.

"I don't know if you've been down to the Rift, or know of the past war between here and the Moon and it's ruler. But ordinary people, without any powers, rose up in defense of the Earth and fought the magic of the senshi and the Moon's ruler. It was in a final strike that the Moon's Queen attacked...turning some people in to...shades I guess you could call them, for a reference for you. They are called youma. I know they need energy in order to continue on, and they aid us in this new war." He had to think of a war to keep the story short and get the information across, and explain what a youma was. He was sure Painite had told him, and possibly - likely - had brought him to the Rift. The destroyed capitol city of the Earth from way back when. A stark reminder of what had happened and could happen again if they didn't win against the senshi.

"It varies from each one. Sometimes offensive and sometimes defensive. I've encountered one which could make you see things while another was able form a shield around her. Another I encountered got...vinegar in my eyes. I know I've kept notes on those I've encountered, I'd suggest you do the same as a way to remember and learn from past encounters." He found it helpful himself, he could refresh his memory on each one he'd met and how they came off and what they'd done in the fight. He had down anything he'd thought relevant to note.

He nodded.

"I have a good idea of how to do that, I will definitely keep notes."

He slowly processed the information about the energy and the youma, it seemed to make sense to him. Food for soldiers, an army marches on its stomach after all.

"I wouldn't mind tagging along if you don't mind it. I want to get this right."

This seemed like it could be a profitable evening after al, till now he had mostly just wandered around, gotten tired and gone home. He had a few schemes worked up but never had any opportunity to use them.

"What about the Senshi? Will the two of us together make us a bigger target?"

The thought only just occurred to him. If the senshi were looking to take out nega verse agents, then two agents together might be an appealing thing to attack. He knew if he could overwhelm two senshi together he’d at least try, if he had numbers or sufficient strength.
