In light of some deliberation, there is an ammendment to the Open Flight.
Instead of a PC Weyrleader, there is going to be an NPC Weyrleader who wins the Flight.
However, the Flight will be a Contest. Malvren is in need of some active Browns and Bronzes!
We will be giving out Two Bronze Dragons and Three Brown Dragons.
This Flight is Open to Everyone - newbie and oldbie alike and does not require an approved character profile.

How it Works
Basically it will be a contest of points and writing. Every person that signs up will be responsible for an NPC. Who they are (no female brown riders, please) and what they're like are an open book. Playing as these NPCs, those who signed up will participate in the Flight and at the end the browns with the highest points will be awarded to the player; the bronzes will be judged based on activity and quality of roleplay. Think of it as test driving a colour of your choice! You cannot win both a bronze and a brown - you can only play ONE NPC for the Flight. Once the winners are announced, please formalize the character and submit them to character applications where they'll be refined. It is expected these dragons will remain active.
If you own a Bronze, you cannot win another Bronze but CAN win a Brown.
If you own a Brown, you cannot win a Brown but CAN win a Bronze.
If you own a Brown, you cannot win a Brown but CAN win a Bronze.
Instructions
1) Sign-up in the sign-up thread located here. Include the name of both the dragon and the rider, and the colour of the dragon. Which colour you try for is up to you - however if all bronzes sign up, there will be no browns given out. You do not need a pre-approved character for this.
2) Participate in the Flight, playing as the NPC you submitted. Personality, appearance, etc are entirely up to you. No female brown riders.
3) When the Flight is Finished, those brownriders with the highest total points (from the Flight Game) will be given their dragons. Those who participated with bronzes will be judged based on acitivity and quality of roleplay with the top two being awarded their dragon.
4) Formalize your character and submit a character application if you are a winner.
5) WIN.
It is expected these dragons will remain active.
