Age for Character Creation: 18-28 years old. This is a new generation of superheros for this era, so characters should be on the younger side.

Stats

Character Stats are done on a scale of one to ten, based on different levels of ability. Stats include Strength, Speed, Agility, Durability, Mind, and Power Mastery. Each stat will be elaborated upon further. Points for starting characters are going to be

Strength: Physical Strength, the ability to lift objects.
1- Weak: 70-100 lbs
2- Average: 100-200 lbs
3- Athletic: 200-250 lbs
4- Body Builder: 300-600 lbs
5- Peak Physique: 600-1000 lbs
6- Superhuman Class I: 1-3 tons
7- Superhuman Class II: 3-10 tons
8- Superhuman Class III: 10-50 tons
9- Superhuman Class IV: 50-100 tons
10- Superhuman Class V: Immeasurable

Speed: The ability to move across a distance over a period of time.
1- Slow Poke: A turtle may move faster than you.
2- Average: You can run a mile at an average pace.
3- Athletic: You probably were on your track team.
4- Trained Athlete: Did you run in college?
5- Peak Physique: Not only did you run in college, you ran circles around the best.
6- Superhuman Class I: Don‘t expect the cops to try and catch you.
7- Superhuman Class II: Were you there a second ago?
8- Superhuman Class III: Faster than a speeding bullet my a**.
9- Superhuman Class IV: Naked to the human eye
10- Superhuman Class V: You wouldn’t happen to know The Flash would you?

Agility: The ability to move around a field/flexibility
1- Weak: Stiff as a Board
2- Average: You may have done some yoga
3- Athletic: Some years as a gymnast/dancer
4- Trained Athlete: Been a gymnast/dancer since you were very young
5- Peak Physique: Trained with Olympic Athletes
6- Superhuman Class I: You beat the very best athletes
7- Superhuman Class II: Olympic Athletes cry at what you can do
8- Superhuman Class III: You trained Olympic Athletes
9- Superhuman Class IV: Trained by ninjas
10- Superhuman Class V: Correction, you trained ninjas

Durability: Ability to shrug off blows, pain tolerance, general health, and general endurance.
1- Weak: You fear rolling leaves/possibly raised in a bubble.
2- Average: You can take a few hits/in relatively good health.
3- Athletic: You boxed for a few years/barely get sick.
4- Trained Athlete: You boxed for many years/used to shrug off serious illness.
5- Peak Physique: Competed in the Iron Man, won a few times/what the hell is the common cold?
6- Superhuman Class I: Doesn’t flinch after a gunshot wound/instant recovery from illness.
7- Superhuman Class II: Bullets bounce off of him/what the hell is sick?
8- Superhuman Class III: Taken a blast from a tank round, kept walking/beat cancer in a week.
9- Superhuman Class IV: Sat at the epicenter of a nuclear blast/bathed in Anthrax on a bet.
10- Superhuman Class V: Walked on the surface of the sun/beat HIV and AIDS through sheer willpower.

Mind: Mental aptitude and/or wisdom and willpower
1- Weak: Round peg through a square hole/zombies have more free will
2- Average: You were a decent student/it wouldn’t take much to take your mind over
3- Smart: You were an A student/It’s not much harder
4- Gifted: You got or could have gotten a full ride to any school/Green Lanterns may have considered you
5- Genius: You probably have a few patents/on the top of the Guardians list
6- Superhuman Class I: You do calculus with your eyes closed/you’re able to resist most temptations.
7- Superhuman Class II: Debated with Stephen Hawking, won/Buddhist monks would be proud
8- Superhuman Class III: Stephen Hawking asks you to check his work/The Dalai Lama was your mentor
9- Superhuman Class IV: Able to deduce and plan strategies with accuracy bordering on precognition/Dalai Lama once bowed to YOU
10- Superhuman Class V: Love child of Leonardo Da Vinci and a supercomputer: any subject you can master in a matter of days/could resist possession by Parallax

VERY IMPORTANT: In Mind, Intelligence and Wisdom are not always going to correlate. You can be very intelligent, yet have no true wisdom.

Power Mastery: The level of control you have over your ability (Max cap for new members is 4)

1- Lack of control: Can cause destruction through a simple sneeze
2- Learning: You’re getting the hang of it, sort of…
3- Skilled: You can use your power without killing anyone
4- Focused: Have the slightest fine degree of control
5- Adept: Very fine degree of control
6- Improvising: You’re learning to use your powers in new ways
7- Holding together: Your powers are growing and you can handle them
8- Extreme Control: You have a hell of a hang on your powers
9- Total Focus: Can do a variety of tasks related to your abilities without breaking a sweat
10- Absolute Mastery: Unlimited/Immeasurable power, Darksied would be scared

Upgrades to your powers will be discussed pending Moderator approval, but do not expect anything to happen regarding that until at the very least 2-3 arcs after your character has been introduced.

Non-Power Skills

Non-Power skills are abilities that characters have that have nothing to do with their powers. They are learned, not something that characters are born with. We regulate what skills characters have, because no one character can do everything. Non-Power Skills should NEVER be used to supplement an addition to a characters mutant ability... They are skills/hobbies that everyday humans could learn to do, just as easily as a League Member. Each skill has three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Master.

New Members: When you first apply to Generation Beyond-- You may choose a few Non-Power Skills if you feel they apply to your character. We do not insist that your character be a blank slate, we assume that they will have learned things outside the Watchtower-- We just want to know what those things are. Be selective on what items you choose to list, and at what level (Beginner, Intermediate, and Master). We expect that your characters history will provide an explanation for the skills that you've chosen to add.

List of Skills: There are so many we can’t list them all. Feel free to write whatever kind of Non-Power skill you can think of, so long as it is within your character’s background.

For Example: Terry McGinnis (Batman) has been a juvenile delinquent known for fighting in the streets since he was a kid, so he would have Streetfighting (Master)

Important Notice

When you are creating a character, take a note as to what you are putting into him/her. We love having characters with eclectic backgrounds, coming from all across the world, having unique skills such as the ability to speak a language. But please, what ever you do, make sure you have knowledge of that particular background. Be it slang, dancing moves, or how to operate heavy machinery, please do your best to have an idea of what your character can do.

A character could be a helicopter pilot. Does the player have that skill? No, but they could look it up and learn what they need to know there. Rather not see a muck up because someone forgot to learn this info. The internet is a wonderful tool, and Wikipedia is just one click away.
