Svang Stats Attack: 1% Defense: 1% Speed: 1% Agility: 1% Intelligence: 1% He loaded into the arena with Ozen, his human. Svang stood with his tail up dominantly. He was usually an easy-going kind of Mokai but fights brought a hole new 'Svang' to the plate. As he motioned his eyes lowered, reds filled with the need to fight. This would be his first as Oz's Mokai, the first ever fight and he had word that he was against another newbie in the ring.
As the bell rang he crouched and Oz let go of his collar. It was time, Svang sprung out towards the bear-coloured Mokai. When he got close he went for a lunge with his fangs bearing, going for a bite.

Kuruk Stats Attack: 1% Defense: 1% Speed: 1% Agility: 1% Intelligence: 1% "Are you ready?" K. asked Kuruk as they walked together towards the fighting pit. Kuruk held his head high, tail high and ears erect. His eyes, the color of the ocean in midday's sunlight, light with a burning blue flame, hot waiting for his first chance at a battle. K. let him down and he looked back to her, seemingly to smile, and as he looked towards his striped opponent, wide blazing blue eyes narrowed with determination.
Without warning, Kuruk sprung forward, intent on using his body weight as his primary force for his first attack. Though he knew with the firey red eyes in his opponent's eyes, this would not be an easy victory.

Zvang made contact with the male, but Kuruk had missed him just barely in the end. Gaining a small 'thwap' to Zvang's shoulder. He rounded himself in his sprint, stopping it with a skid and made away around the male. Lowering his body as he slunk towards Kuruk for another lunge with his fangs.
He felt the same that Kuruk had; he knew that he was up against an opponent, whom like him, was unreadable. They both had new fighting styles to bring to the arena. Both rather well built.
Zvang would use his fangs to catch Kuruk in the shoulder or the side hopefully.

Kuruk watched and with a smile that spread across his maw, gave a slight nod to Svang. A fighter's honor, a code of respect, between one another. Kuruk wanted his opponent to know that he was not only impressed, but excited to have the dark male as his opponent for his first fight.
His paws had barely touched the other male, he was fast, but Kuruk could adapt. As this male relied on his fangs, Kuruk, since he was raised by K., relied on his body for strength, for comfort, even for K. when she was frightened or felt alone. Although the side he would press against her for warmth at night to ease K.'s distress was now being used as a tactic to win.
He rushed him again, but this time, his paws moved back and forth, zizagging, and Kuruk went for the dark male again. He felt a twinge in his shoulder as he did so, but tried with his spirit to make contact.

He gave a return nod and a slight bow of the head to Kuruk. He was just as big as the Bear-like Mokai. But anything that gave him honour was worth receiving it from him as well. But as he saw his opponent begin to rush he had to act.
Svang rounded again, trying to go for another dodge against the male's sprint. Instead of going and counter with his fangs again Svang stomped his paws down and lowered his body to take on the force of the other large brute's rush. Possibly to knock some air from Kuruk's lungs or flip Kuruk over his body.

Kuruk's body weight, heavy and broad, went for the dark male and Kuruk paid for it. He was hit hard and he fell and skid but he ame to his paws quickly and rounded to lung e to the striped male once again.
He was proud, strong, but he did not consider himself a brute. He forced himself, pushed himself a little bit more to make some kind of effort to make a blow against his opponent so at least he could make K. proud.

The moment he made contact with Kuruk, he felt it. It was like a cement wall just ramming into another one. He had also paid a good heavy amount for his decision. Getting up he felt the welt pulsing at his side now. With an uneasy cough he chuckled a little. How silly of him to think that would have worked to plan. But then he heard the return of paws thundering against the arena floor.
Hopefully by the time he shook the stars out of his head and leapt to jump forward and then round and attack Kuruk with his body weight again, he would land another attack onto the male.

He felt a sense of pride surge through him, and for a brief moment he looked up to see K. who went from looking nervous, to proud, and his heart soared. He smiled, determination ever present in his eyes and he whirled around to look at the dark, red0eyed male. His fur bristled, though no noise came from his throat, he focused his attention to his body, his strength, there was no need to waste time and aggression, precious energy on vocals that would take away from his power.
As the dark male came closer, Kuruk braced himself, and planned to retaliate, if he could, to throw the male over his back if he got the right angle.

When he contacted he felt the male beneath him lift him over his shoulder. Landing hard he let out a small yelp and then scrambled to get up. Adrenaline kicking in him went after the male. He had landed wrong on the same side he had gotten a Mokai to.
When he got up again he went to dive for the male and take out some of his pain on him with his fangs again, going for the shoulder/side area again. Silently he did like the male for fighting the way he did. Svang was more-so amused by the plan on retaliation, however it did hurt.

This was it, Kuruk knew, but regardless of the outsome, he knew that this was merely the first time in the ring, first time in the pit, and from this he would learn. As he was able to lift the dark male up and over himself, it felt good to be able to complete his task, but in doing so, his shoulder the male had hit earlier began to ache, and he grimaced just slightly at the pull near his shoulder. As he rounded, he prepared himself for an attack, he braced himself for it, and he stood with his legs sturdy, his head angled down, and he let a small, near silent snarl escape his lips.
It was not a warning, nor anger, but a way to tell the male to bring what he had, and Kuruk only hoped when the male hit, Kuruk's body would do some damage as well.
Regardless, the fight was good, and it made Kuruk feel alive.

In the end, it had come down to him doing a good deal of damage in his last hit. He had stopped ontime and hadn't gotten hurt that much by the large brown male.
When it ended and the whistle sounded for the ending. Zvang panted as his adrenaline lowered. Shaking his head, he chuckled. "Never seen so many stars in the city before." He joked to the Mokai and bowwed his head. Whimpering just lightly at the bruise throbbing in his side. But he would be better in the night time. His fighting skin was tough and strong, fast healing for just a bruise. When he saw the verdict Svang almost felt like it was unreal. He had won but it didn't feel that way.
"They call m'Svang. I am glad I got to fight some'un with good morals aside from fightin'. I do not feel like I won, I feel that it really was a tie between you'n'I." With that he coughed a little and let the Mokai return a speech to him and with that he would take off to Oz and let Oz check his side for anything worse then just a bruise.

HIs hopes had been there, but in the end, they had not been enough. Kuruk raised himself, looking around to those who cheered and jeered, and he shook himself, feeling a pang on his side. It wasn't too tremendous, but enough that it would be difficult sleeping this night. Looking to the dark male, he chuckled, "Didn't think you'd go that far," he said referring to when he flipped the male over his back. "Pleasure to meet ya Svang, I'm Kuruk. Perhaps, though this time you've won by their standards, perhaps next time ya won't be so lucky," he said with a wink, but he was joking, playful, and he smiled.
"Truly an honor to fight another with honor, and respect, for that, I thank you," he said with a little dip of his head, and soon he felt a hand on his back. Kuruk looked up to see K., smiling, regardless of his defeat. Kuruk looked to Svang, smiling, "The women is calling it seems, till next time, my friend," and Kuruk began walking with K.. He had a little limp, but it would heal, and he would be better for it the next time.
