Rocket Agent Faleen

PostPosted: Sat Nov 12, 2011 2:36 pm

Damn you Galactic…. You took one of ours…

The mission was a success! All objectives had been accomplished.
The team of mission Rockets had gotten into Galactic HQ, reclaimed their Elite scientist, Nyx, and with her Intel, and the skill of the Team’s top hackers, were able to dig up invaluable information on what plans the Galactics were up to.

What they found, was ground shattering, in no way had anyone in Rocket expected to find what they did. That the Galactics, namely Deimos had created, and was working on completing a machine that would alter reality itself! And erase anything that the Galactic boss deemed unsatisfactory in their perfect world.
There was no doubt in any Rocket’s mind that every one of them and their organization was on that list.

They could not let this monstrosity progress!

Working together, the assigned team was able to successfully take down the machine that had been hidden in the Johto region, All of the legendary the Galactics had captured to that point had been released, to run their rage through the facility, and the Galactic named Orion, one of the high ranking members of the enemy team, was taken down by one of the Rocket’s own, Mau.

The Rockets had escaped the successful mission, and were not flying back in one of the stylized mech that Galactic created.
A completely unscathed, fully functioning Galactic built Yanmega jet, and it was in rocket’s possession.

What had been a successful mission… quickly lost any of the pride, and accomplishment that came with it.
Agent Aila Christelle de Valois, sustained an injury during an explosion in The Machine, cause by the legendary Shaymin.
Bleeding internally, with no tools to be able to help, in the jet. The young Agent… died on their way home to HQ, in the arms of a fellow Rocket, her friends, and beloved pokemon close by.

The pilot of the Yanmega, Faleen, had entered her clearance numbers for landing once they arrived back in the desert, as to not be confused with a Galactic team.
There had been contact ahead to report on the injured, so when the Yanmega landed, there was a team of medics there to aid with the injured.

Injured Rockets were rushed to the infirmary to get the attention they needed, Nyx being one of the first out with the severe bullet wounds she received, The uninjured Rockets from the mission helping to get them out of the ship, and turning them over.

There was a still silence in this exchange though, on the mission Rocket’s part, it felt like no one really knew what to say just yet, if they should say anything at all.

One didn’t have t know Aila to know what a loss to Rocket this was; she was skilled, strong, and loyal to the organization, and her fellow Rockets. This point was made very clear, since she had sustained the injury that ended her life, going back to help one of her fellow Rockets.

There was a bustle for a time, before the injured where wheeled off. This left the others with time before they could even think about going to visit the ones being treated for a surprising number of severe wounds.

(Everyone in the HQ is allowed to join in this RP! This happened after the current raid.
Feel free to back track a little to explain what characters did, but interaction and the RP time start at a time after the Rockets arrive back at HQ, people have been through what surgery or treatment they needed.
Most of this RP should take place, by the infirmary. Waiting room or what not.)

They were back. Everyone was getting treated...

Almost.

It hadn't fully sunk in yet that the young, defiant rocket had passed. At the same time, the older man knew it though. He had seen her lifeless body, saw her carried away. But- she had been taken, like Nyx. To the med ward. There was a surreal feeling about it.

After his own injuries were treated, he found himself in the waiting room, pacing. Everyone was in surgery. Or, it seemed like it. Those who were hurt worse were gone. So few of them made it out relatively unharmed. Mau couldn't sit still. He was stressed out, he was worried, he was upset, he was mad! He stopped and looked at the doors of the waiting room, waited for a few seconds, the only sound he heard the ticking of the clock above the door, before he started pacing again. He was... aware there were others in the room. But at the moment, they weren't registering.

Mau had, by order of the staff, cleaned up some. The galactic uniform was gone, and he was no longer smudged by dirt and blood. But doing so just showed the worry on his face more clearly.

A surreal feeling definitely clung to Inigo during the entire raid. It had been his first mission, being a newly-promoted grunt, it had been full of more action than he could even process, and his mind was still reeling from it all. The most surreal thing was, however, the death of one of his closest friends. He'd watched the Shaymin explode near her as she shielded Izaya, watched the other grunt hold her in his arms as she slowly passed away, and since he had passed out on the flight back to the base, Inigo had been the one to carry the poor agent back into the base. He didn't even really know what to do with her, but when he'd arrived in the infirmary they'd carefully taken her away. The grunt had no idea where or what they'd do with her, and since he wasn't injured himself they'd gently herded him out.

After heaving a heavy sigh and a brown hand reaching up to run his fingers through his hair, Inigo joined the other Rockets who left to get cleaned up. Unlike the others, however, he didn't return to the infirmary afterward.

----------

When the first few people had walked in with Galactic uniforms - despite almost all of them being familiar faces - Claire had to admit she'd nearly panicked. Luckily she didn't, however, and after a few minutes to finish whatever she was doing, the agent hurried down to the infirmary to figure out exactly what had happened. It involved Galactic and Aulus, and so she had to find out.

The first person she spotted when she walked into the waiting room was a vaguely unfamiliar face, but regardless she stopped near Mau with a worried, anxious expression. "Were you on the team that just got back? What happened?" She might've been getting a little ahead of herself, but the amalgam of emotions twisting knots in her stomach made her too upset and nervous to care about her impatience.

(Upon landing)

Faleen stood from her seat when the Mech touched down, and she started the shut down sequence, watching the progress until she started to hear the engine winding down, and pressed the button to unlock and let the door open to let the team waiting for them in to help.
She had gotten them home, this order of business was finished.

Turning, her hazel eyes drifting over her comrades, injured and not, until they settled on her partner... he was still by Aila.
It hadn't been something she could have responded to, even if she knew how. It was spoken by one of the other Rockets on their way back... quiet, and remorseful, Faleen just remembered her eyes going wide, and then everything going numb.

She didn't say anything for the rest of the flight, she had looked back though, her brow furrowed... and hoping she had heard wrong.
There was a weight in her chest when she looked across the compartment, to see Izaya holding a still Aila, the Rockets around her quiet and in morning.

"..." There was nothing to say, Faleen had to just focus on getting them back to HQ.

That job was complete, her partner was still bleeding, and he needed to be taken out, but as she walked over she noticed that he wasn't conscious anymore.
"... Nakura" She said, stepping quickly over and kneeling by the man, reaching a hand out to press her two fingers to the side of his neck to feel for a pulse... there was gone.
Faleen let out a relived sigh, glancing around as Nyx was hurried out.
The Agent reached out, trying to move Izaya, but nervous about hurting him more. It would be awkward to try and get him out like this.

She didn't have to move him much though, before a deep voice behind her spoke.
"I've got 'em"
The green haired engineer turned, blinking at a Grunt that had come up behind.
She recognized him, then again how come one forget this particular individual.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the team had called in their return, a small team was assembled to meat them, some grunts, mixed with the medics, to help lend support.
Jerome had volunteered to be one of those as soon as he heard, He knew Izaya was on the mission.
When the jet had landed, Jerome had moved in, spotting his room mate, with some green haired women dressed in an odd uniform that he didn't quite recognize.
Frown deepening when he noticed how much blood there was around the man.
"I got 'em" He said, when he noticed the women was trying to move him.
Blacked eyes glanced to the other rockets close by, pausing for a moment when he saw the girl... the tiny one, he had seen her before... where?
But it was a moment when he realized that there was something he recognized about the situation... That girl was dead.
His brow furrowed, but he made no comment, he didn't stare either, just reached down to help get Izaya up off of the floor, and help him get outside, the green haired women following after.
"C'mon man, get you fixed up." He said, in a gentle voice, despite its constant rumble.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(flash forward)

Some time had passed, none of the Rockets that returned were expected to do much at the moment, mostly just wait till they got news about their team mates.

Faleen wasn't one to just stand around and hope for the best, she couldn't function like that.
Faleen took this time to get herself cleaned up, showered, rubbing vigorously at her hair to try and get as much of the dye out as possible... unforgettably even though she got most of the vivid green out, her hair still didn't look quite blond enough.
It would be probably a week or two yet before all the color left her hair.
It was an annoyance, but she left it at that, at least she was out of that damn uniform, and back into her familiar comfort of her Agent uniform.

Faleen ran her gloved fingers through the tips of her faded colored hair, back out of the pony tail, and hanging loosely around her shoulders.
This felt better... at least some of the hatred had subsided for now, the numbness however... had not.

With a hand brushing over her uniform to smooth it out, she gave a soft sigh, reaching out to grab her tablet on the way out of the door, as Umbreon jumped off of her bed to join her in the hall.
She headed back to the infirmary, hoping... hoping they would not get any more news about losing another valued team mate.

His footsteps paused when a voice happened. He looked to the younger woman. Blinked at her as if he didn't register her for a moment. Who was this, and why was she talking to him? "...Yes." he finally answered with reserve. "I was." What happened? "We met our objectives."

Her brows furrowed slightly at the way he answered her questions, her mind racing as she tried to interpret what exactly the meaning of his words were. What happened? They accomplished their objectives - but what exactly were their objectives? She just knew a group had been picked to go on a mission against the Galactics and came back looking like the rival team. "What were the objectives? And what happened?" She hadn't seen anybody else, she didn't know how badly anybody was injured... And freaking Team Galactic, man. She had to know.

Mau ran his fingers through his navy-dyed hair as he looked at her. "Full details can't be disclosed on our mission. Not just yet." Even if he were allowed to tell her, how would he say 'we stopped team galactic from rewriting reality' and have her take it seriously? "The same thing that always happens. We got blown up by a hedgehog... and nearly crushed by a building... and shot at." Ok, not all of that always happened. He shook his head. "Who are you?"

A frustrated sigh escaped her as she reached a hand up to rub at her face. She honestly didn't care about the full details - she knew all about Galactic, their intentions and their methods. If Mau had told her about the other team's plans to re-make the world, she wouldn't have been surprised at all. "Ugh, the friggin' Shaymin again," she muttered, then focused on Mau when he asked his question. "I'm Claire. Agent," she added as an afterthought. "I just.. who was on it? Who was hurt?" That was the only thing she cared about at the moment. ...okay, it really wasn't, but it was one of the biggest things. Wasn't Aulus on this mission...?

Claire. Hm. He didn't know her, not at all. But she was concerned for the others. That was at least a vaguely sobering thought. It brought him back, slightly, to the present. "Faleen, Hayes, Inigo, and myself. We are the ones who were not injured. Everyone else...." suffered some. Never mind the obvious bandage on his arm from the nail gun wounds. Mau didn't exactly know the names of everyone on the mission, but he did his best to fill the woman in. Kunai, Panther, the girl he was sure called Luxury, Sierra, 1337, Tambrey, Faleen's partner, Hayes's partner ... "Aila." at the end of the list of names, he said the youngest rocket's name with hesitation, as if wishing it hadn't been on the list at all.

Oh Arceus - if Hayes went, then Aulus had to have gone. s**t. She didn't know Mau or Inigo, but Faleen and Hayes -- "Aila?" She frowned. Why did he pause so long after the other agent's name? What happened? To be completely honest she missed the bandages on his arm entirely - he was standing, waiting in the infirmary. That meant he was fine and could answer questions. "Who was hurt?"

It was at that moment she heard the sound of footsteps coming from down the hall, and she turned to focus purple eyes on none other than one of the previously mentioned agents. "Faleen," she greeted, taking a step towards the other woman. "Are you alright?" She looked alright. She was walking, at least. But how was everyone else?

"They all got hurt." He replied. "Hurt and... Aila died." There was a disconnect in his voice as he said it. Like he wasn't believing that it had happened. It had. It had been a horrible price to pay for team rocket. Even if they did meet their objectives.

He had uttered those words. Aila died as Faleen entered the room. Mau looked at her. Claire no longer seemed interested in the information Mau could offer. So he instead stared at the less green-haired agent with a vaguely helpless expression.

'Aila died' were the first words she picked up as she stepped into the waiting room of the Rocket base.
She paused, glancing around to see who had spoken, recognizing Mau, who had been on the mission, talking with their fellow Agent Claire.
Said Agent was stepping over to her, and Faleen turned to face her properly.

"I wasn't hurt." she said, other then a scratch on the side of her face and some bumps she really wasn't, compared to the others it really was nothing.
"You heard about what happened then?" she asked Claire, knowing she must be here to check on the others as well. There were a few rockets around that looked concerned, probably wanting to know the same thing...

She looked over to Mau, meeting his gaze, and furrowing his brow slightly, a small frown tugging at her lips, she could read his expression, she knew what he was feeling.
"... Has there been any news on the others?"

Aila died. Even as Faleen stepped over and answered her questions, Claire couldn't help the numb feeling that crept over her. She was glad Faleen was alright, but Aila had died. "Wh.." She hadn't been especially close to the other agent, but still, she'd died. How? Was it Tethys? How had she died? What happened? She stared between the two other agents, a perplexed look fixed on her face. How...?

"I.." She frowned. "I heard a group went out on a mission against Galactics. I came down when I saw people start coming back.." Aila died. Holy crap... Did anyone else die? Her stomach did a complex, acrobatic flip before she figured - or told herself - if anyone else had, they'd mention it. Right? They would, right? "How's everyone else...?" She asked vaguely, peering at them both with concern evident on her features.

Seth had seen the ugly mech come to base from his office window. Although he hadn't been able to just leave everything and meet the group, he did eventually make his way down to the infirmary. The tall executive striding briskly through the halls, his intent to gather a report for the boss and records. He had been informed that there were injuries, and one casualty, but knew nothing more than that. Kunai had not reported in, thus she had to be one of them. He carried a pad with him, and was also followed by his shiny Luxray with the spiked collar.

Entering the infirmary, he noticed a group gathered around, talking quietly. They looked worse for wear, and seemed to be some of those that had been on the raid. With a steady scowl on his face, he stepped over to the group.

"What happened?" he asked gruffly. Granted he was displeased with the shape that many of them had come back in, but it had been a dangerous mission.

"No, there's been no news yet." Mau replied. "The staff has been too busy to answer any questions." The look on his face said it was bad, right? Or was it no news was good news? Mau ran his fingers through his hair. "There were reall bad-" He stopped, seeing Seth walk in.

Mau gave a solute as the elite walked over, and demanded to know what happened. s**t, couldn't people just wait and all ask at once? He stared at Seth a moment. Couldn't they just write a report? Did they have to talk to Seth?

"We retrieved Agent Nyx with no problem." But... He looked to Faleen. Please help explain this mission.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 12, 2011 7:46 pm

When Mau told her that there was no news, she nodded softly, but seemed unable to say anything.
She wasn't surprised they were busy... and she would rather they be busy and ignore them then stop and take attention away from their fellow Rockets.

She nodded to Claire, Hazel eyes moving back to meet with the girls now violet ones, She had her contacts back in.
"I'm not sure how the others are, I was about to go ask and see... Most of them were in pretty bad condition, Nyx was-"
She was stopped again when a tall families figure then walked into the waiting room.
"Executive Seth, Sir" Faleen said, blinking as he walked over to them and immediately asked what happened.
"... Sir, we accomplished the mission... I just arrived here, we don't know the status on Elite Nyx and Kunai or the others yet."
She paused here, turning to face him more fully, her back straightening, even though it felt uncomfortable to do so right now.
"Agent Aila suffered the worse of injuries... we haven't learned how yet, but Sir... she didn't make on the flight home."

Her head downed softly as this, not looking away from her superior, Faleen herself didn't know the answer to that... Just why Aila had died, there had not been a lot of blood, though she looked like she had lost blood.
she had her suspicions. But she wasn't a doctor, or even close to one.

"... Do you require a full report sir?" she asked, curiously, unsure if thats what he was asking for, "The Elite both required surgery, I'm unsure of what... or if they will be able to communicate soon tonight..."

As soon as Mau started talking, Seth lifted up his pad and started taking notes. However, Faleen then decided to take over and his blue eyes lifted to regard her silently. When she started talking, he looked back down at the pad again, continuing. However... the news of Aila, caused him to pause, his hand hovering over the pad in mid motion. He stayed like that for several long moments, before his scowl deepened.

So... the casualty had been Aila.

"I see," he said finally. His notes then continued, not looking up from the pad.

"Tell me everything you can. The boss will want to know the basics. The details can come later."
PostPosted: Sat Nov 12, 2011 8:07 pm

They had to retrieve Nyx. They got her back - presumably she was injured too - and they didn't know about anyone else. She was contemplating voicing her frustrations to the two other agents when Seth walked in, and immediately decided against it. Instead she remained silent, crossing her arms in front of her and holding her elbows, almost but not quite hugging herself to soothe her nerves. It sounded like.. Aila was the only one to receive fatal injuries. As horrible as it sounded, she hoped so - not that she didn't feel absolutely terrible for her fellow agent, but she was glad no one else had died. There was, of course, just one on her mind - not that she would admit it, of course. Aulus was just a friend of hers, one she was too close to. She didn't want to be in the way if he wanted to date another girl. It shouldn't bother her at all.

Faleen watched as Seth paused, feeling that weight in her chest a little more.
She didn't say anything, just quietly let him process this information.
When he asked for more information, Faleen answered, telling him about what they found, and what they did. Just the big stuff, since details could come later.

She paused when she was finished. "Was there anything else I could help with Sir?"
Again. "The Mech is parked in the hanger, I was hoping to run some spec scans on it soon... I can bring the papers for the processing soon."
PostPosted: Sat Nov 12, 2011 8:31 pm

Seth continued to take down notes in silence, his expression was less severe and was now a bit grim. He wanted to know how Aila had died, but he wouldn't be getting that from them. She was a very capable agent. Of all the people to die, she was one of the least he had expected. She must have done something stupid.

"That's fine," Seth said in regards to the mech and bringing him the papers.

Eventually he looked up again, tucking the pad under his arm. "Aila, where did they put her? And has anyone informed her partner?"

"Last I heard, she was being brought in for... an autopsy." He swallowed hard as he spoke to Seth. He'd been standing here the longest, he probably knew more then the rest of the people waiting for news. Even if it wasn't much. He knew surgeries had started, and things were crazy. "No one outside this room, or those on the raid, knows anything." He said with a hint of defeat. "I doubt her partner has been in formed." Who was her partner? Mau had only seen him in a dress.
