Healing was a slow and arduous process, but at this point, Jericho was able to walk without the need of crutches. He still had to be a little careful, but he was fine for the most part. Feeling fairly triumphant about this, he made his way over towards the demon dorms to show it off to Riley.
His pace was slower than usual, but it was alright. It didn't take him too long before he arrived outside her door.
Not bothering to knock, he helped himself inside, grinning like a fool.
"VOOIIII! Riley! Guess what? I can WALK!"

Riley was laying on her couch, in the dark, thinking. She had a lot on her mind, lately, and this was the perfect spot for a good dose of heavy plotting. When Jericho burst in, however, all her little plans and threads of thought were blown sheer out of her mind by his loud and boisterous voice.
Really now? I never would have guessed. She deadpanned, eyeing his legs carefully as he walked through her door. Who gave you the clean bill of health? Are you very sure you are capable? She pushed herself off the couch, moving to stand in front of him, as if she was trying to prepare herself in case he fell and needed her assistance. She laid no hands on him, however - she simply stood there, tensed, and ready.

Staring at Riley, who seemed to be on the couch, Jericho rubbed the back of his neck and grinned.
"Well uh.. I did. And hell yeah. Well. I mean I probably shouldn't be running and jumping too much but JACK DAMN I CAN WALK," he said while puffing up proudly. His wings may have unconsciously flared a little too as he spoke. Someone was happy to be relatively mobile once more.
Grinning, he stared as she walked over to him. But he was steady. No threat of falling over this time around.
"Man I can't wait to take to the air again. I bet I could fly without hurting myself!"

Riley looked.. very dubious at this prospect. Doesn't that mean shifting into another form? Are you sure your bones are ready for that kind of change? If you shift and they're not fully healed, they might.. you know..
She made a snapping expression with her hands, while the noise of a twig (or bone) snapping penetrated his mind.
As much as I've missed flying with you, that.. that worries me.
She bent down slightly, pulling his leg pant up without asking. Perhaps if I feel the bone, to make sure the fracture is healed?

Chuckling as Riley seemed to be acting like a sort of mother hen (again), Jericho shook his head at her in amusement.
"Don't worry. I'm fine. Really," he said to her as she grabbed the leg of his pants, "Go ahead and feel the bone but it's all good now."
Watching her for a moment, he rubbed his chin, thinking about all of this.
"We could get in some more practice for you too for that matter. Today's just a good day for flight. I can tell."

Riley was already feeling the bone before she received any such permission, but he was right. It felt solid, and strong - and it did nothing to deter her worry. Still.. when she stood up again, and registered exactly what he'd just proposed, she suddenly worried less about his safety, and more about her own.
Oh, Jericho. She almost (ALMOST) whined. Do I have to..

Crossing his arms, Jericho grinned lightly at her and nodded.
"Practice makes perfect. All fledglings have to go through this sort of thing. And believe me, it will be worth it."

Riley's eyes flattened as thin as paper, and she took his arm in her own, dragging him out of her room and closing the door behind her.
Fine. I will go. But if you ever call me a fledgling again, I will break your other leg so you have a matching set of internal bone scars.
And out of the dorm they went~

"Oh fine fine," laughed Jericho as he was practically dragged on outside, "Oh! Don't forget the straps!"
She did sort of need those to help keep herself upright for the time being. The dragon was sure it wouldn't be too long before she could hover around without the need of the straps to hold up her body. It just needed some time, as with all things.

Riley stopped, let Jericho go, and slumped just slightly. There was a sound that came out of her, an actual, audible sound of annoyance, before she turned on her heel and headed back to her dorm without him.
Moments later, she returned to his side with the dreaded straps. It was clear she'd hoped he would forget, and they would have to give up the idea of an attempt at flight this day.
Her hopes, as always, shattered when he opened his mouth.
Just.. just... let's make this quick. She grumbled.

While he could practically feel the irritation coming off of Riley, Jericho continued to grin at her. His spirits were too high to be brought down but the grumpy Mindflayer. Without saying anything, he just headed on outside, looking much perkier than his friend.
He didn't stop until they were at a pretty good clearing.. without any trees too close by. The dragon remembered pretty clearly how their first attempt went.
"Alright, let's get started! Go ahead and do some warm ups with the crystals. Get a good feel of putting that FEAR in," he said.

Warm ups with her crystals, eh..?
Her irritation turned to amusement as the Fear flooded into her crystals, making them glow and churn behind her. Then a few of them flew off and pecked at Jericho playfully, like pinpricks that did not break the skin.
Just. Warming up. She offered innocently.

Feeling the slight pricks against his skin, Jericho glanced down but there was no actual damage. She was just poking him with the crystals and being cheeky about it. Eyeing her with a false sense of accusation, he just smirked before stepping closer to take a hold of her hands.
"If you're done with that, go ahead and get your balance in the air. I'll keep you steady while you're at it," he said. The dragon wouldn't be surprised if he had to do this for awhile until she knew exactly what the FEAR levels needed to be to sustain herself normally in the air.

She frowned. It seemed playtime was over. Her crystals rubber-banded back to their normal spots, and she set her bands on, dropping the lower ones to the ground. You'll get those for me, won't you darling? She purred out with only a little bit of venom in her voice. Only a little bit.
Her wings were already humming with power. They wanted to go. Now. Even if it meant another crash, they were far more excited about this than she was.

Eyeing Riley for a moment, having caught the hint of venom in her voice, Jericho went ahead and crouched down to help get the lower straps onto her. It didn't take long to attach them so he was upright once more within a moment or two.
"Alright. Ready when you are," he nodded while holding onto her.
