Ahadi was told not that long ago that he was supposed to come at sunrise to go to this dueling area. It was still dark but he knew the sun was going to be rising soon and he trotted to the areas where he was supposed to meet his opponent. He wanted to get here first, wanting to make sure who ever he was going to meet him here knew he meant business. He didn't have to be here until a little after the sun was already risen but he knew it would be a better idea to get here earlier. He flicked his tail around behind him and shook out his mane as he got closer to the area that he was going to be dueling in. He settled back on his haunches and got comfortable waiting for the other lion to show up.
He was wondering who he was going to duel here today. He was excited he had been keeping an eye on this pride for a little while now and when he met a lioness Fia when wandering around the pride one day he decided that this was the pride for him. He asked to join and when he asked he was told that he needed to duel to prove that he could get in. He knew that he was going to be able to get somewhere with this duel today, he wanted to get in soon and he was hoping, really hoping that he was going to be able to get where he wanted to go and he was hoping that he was going to be able to join.

Somehow, he'd found himself ushered into a duel again. This time, it had been by his snake-wielding cousins. Which mean, if he wanted those slithery slimey beasts kept away, he had to do as they told him. And having the snakes make contact with him was far worse than facing another rogue. He just hoped it wasn't another girl...
As the sun crested the dunes and he rounded one, he found himself staring at his opponent - A white and red lion, and very much male. Luut let out a sigh of relief, happy he wouldn't have to worry about tripping up again. He just hoped the other didn't ask any questions that didn't involve a yes or no. Ears folding back into his dark red mane, he went trotting forward, jaw set in silent determination. He would NOT choke up on this one!

Ahadi looked at the lion that was coming his way. He seemed pretty big but then again Ahadi was pretty equal in size. He was happy to see the male, he didn't want to fight a female. He never really liked fighting females, he thought that he was better than that. Ahadi was a little arrogant anyway... He paused as he looked at the other lion before getting up, the light from the sun was starting to get more instense, this was going to be an interesting fight indeed.
"I'm assuming you are who I'm supposed to duel." He said simply with a chuckle, a smirk was on his face. He was feeling good about this, he dug his nails into the ground and then nodded toward the male. "You ready?" He asked curiously before bounding forward toward the male, his hair was raised and right off the bat he extended a paw and aimed it toward the side of the male's arm. He growled as he did wanting to make sure the male got the point that he meant business.

Luut gave a nod, and then promptly ducked as the other charged. Well, that was a fast start! He grit his teeth, feeling the claws rake his shoulder instead of his arm. As the red lion rolled, he soon shot up, paws braced in the sand. He looked a moment at the wound he now bore, before turning, charging the other. As he swing, Luut found he'd undershot his move, paw whistling right by the other lion. Already, he was off to a bad start.

Ahadi smirked once again as the male missed. He shrugged it off smirking once agian. He knew that he was going to do good at this, he was normally a pretty good fighter and he knew that not all of the firekin had to be great fighters. He was born into the rogue lands and he felt liks he was so ready to take on pride raised lion. He had to fight off many things in hispast. It would explain a lot of his arrogance at one point. He snarled and turned quickly as the male went past him once again extending a paw and thign time aiming at the male's flank also extending his claws as he did.

Luut reeled back, trying to just get away from the other lion's claws. He paced around the other, trying to gather his wits. He now knew... He was NOT a dueling lion! The red lion felt panic start to take root. Rowtag had made fun of him already for losing to that rogue lioness... And the way he looked like a love-sick cub whenever she was mentioned or he saw her. He had to at least look like he'd TRIED to win this duel. In a desperate move, Luut swung out, trying to strike the other lion. As before, he came short.

The male snarled at the other male as he missed a hit. He was pretty happy that the other male missed, it appeared as if the fight was going in his favor and that was a relief, it looked like he wasn't going to ahve to come back and try again. He backed away from the male, snarling as he did, he moved away a little more waiting to see what the lion did once he held still for a few second, waiting on the next move. This was an exciting duel so far. But he was hoping that he would leave it a winner.

He had his honor to protect! Well, what honor the water seeker HAD.. He'd seen the way some lions looked at him - They knew Vlam was his father, though they had no idea why the younger lion was as silent as his father. Even Luut himself didn't know. He couldn't recall ever TRYING to speak. Maybe he was a mute... But he wouldn't be a coward. Rounding his shoulders a bit, the red lion charged, swinging out. This time, he felt his hit connect.

Ahadi looked at the male and then snarled as a hit landed on him. He was extremely surprised, he wasn't expecting the hit at all. He moved as quickly as he could away from the male. He took a moment to look over what the male had done, he was surprise, he wasn't expecting a hit from the male. He really wasn't at first. He moved quickly on his feet he dug his toes into the sand and braced himself to launch forward at the male once again so he could either brace himself for the next attack or for him to attack the male.

Luut was really beginning to panic now. And up on a dune, he could hear laughter. He looked up and saw Rowtag. He was watching, and he was laughing... Luut let out a huff at his friend, then turned to face the other lion. As he charged, he suddenly stepped on something he hadn't seen and heard a hiss. The red lion looked, just in time to miss hitting the other lion... And a new panic filled him as he spied Ten, the snake of his two tormentive cousins. He let out a choked sound, scrambling away from the reptile as the snake gave him an indignant look and slithered off. He suddenly wondered if Keahilani or Soleil had picked this spot to duel, JUST so Ten would cross his path.

Ahadi saw his last chance for a good hit. He knew that he had to move quickly and land this hit. He needed to get it and he knew that it was going to be good, he was going to his the male and he knew that he could win, he could feel it in his this was almost over. He looked up at the male that was laughing and arched a brow before snarling a little and launching himself forward at the male and then slamming his body into the male. He was a large male and he really knew how to throw his weight around.

He was going to lose, and he knew it. But Luut wasn't about to just roll over and give up. His lips curled back in a silent snarl, before a paw shot out, smacking the other lion in the face. He didn't use his claws, though, keeping them back. In a duel, he saw no honor in trying to claw his opponent's eyes out. It wouldn't do well to just get into the pride, and already be blind as a cave newt. And then he tumbled, finding himself literally rolling over. He knew this moment would come, that he'd lose, and had fully expected it... Just not the 'laying on the back' part. Luut could only give a plaintive look at the other lion.

Ahadi looked at the other male before a little tired, he was getting tired and he was just ready to go. He was ready to settle in and get ready to call the pride home. He knew that he had won, he felt like there could have been a better competition for him. Thats how he felt anyway, maybe there wasn't better competition for him but he felt like there could have been. He felt the hit of the other lion's paw, one more strike but he still felt like he had won. He growled a little and shook his head. "I won." He told the male stubbornly, he was very determined that he had been the winner adn he was welcomed into the pride. He had his mind set on the pride and he wanted to be in it.
