The day was bright and the smile on the hoofed gods face was clear and bright as the perfect blue sky. He lay amongst his herd, the hoofed and horned creatures resting and chewing the cud around him, it was a good time for contemplation and the young soft brown god allowed his mind to wander to the way his life was going, how it was how it could be how it should be.

It had been a time. There had been a time, at some point or other when Palahala had decided that he needed a lady in his life. Someone to share his love. At the time he had followed the way of his herd. He was young, inexperienced and the term of love that a herd had, have a harem, one male, join the rut. He had joined the rut only to find himself without a female to love, without someone to cherish. He was a god after all, not a klipspringer, a zebra or a waterbuck. he was a god. His feeling of loneliness had lead him out in to the world and in tot he arms of a goddess with a need.

Sanaa was beautiful, her golden fur and multiple wings had made him stare in awe, she was a competent goddess and she reminded him, in a way, of his father. She loved her work and the reason for her need was that she wanted cubs. Palahala was in the right place at the right time. he had followed her back to her mountainous workshop and he had spent time with her. He had watched and admired her and they had, had alone time. He had left her often int hose weeks to return to his herd, he had returned on odd occasions to see her and whens he told him she was pregnant had felt a great pride in his chest. He had fathered some new life. Despite this, something was missing from his life, Sanaa did not love him and he, in return, did not love Sanaa but he instantly loved the children she bore.

Each of the cubs was a little different from the last. They each bore their own domain, they each personified their domains, and he loved each of them. They had grown so quickly and he had regretted watching them grow. He had regretted seeing them shoot up, he had regretted watching them ground most of all he had hated that he couldn't turn and smile at Sanaa. She had not loved him and they had raised their children together but apart. The cubs spent most of their time with their mother coming on day trips to him, to se his herd, to spend time with him and his family, but they had not been together. That wasn't the deal, they had made, they had children together, they were not in love. It made him sad.

He wished he was in love with Sanaa, he wished they had raised their cubs together, he wished their union hand't just been to raise cubs. But that was what their union had been and it was over when Sanaa knew she was having cubs. Palahala had known as soon as the cubs were of the right age, he would go out and find someone. He knew some of his siblings had, had flings, some of them had found mortal mates, others god mates. He could not with his conscience, mate a mortal, there were lots of reasons, the first being he would not mate a predator. They had to eat, and he did not begrudge them their food, he knew after all that those of his domain would over populate the world if they were left un checked, but he could not agree with his children eating those of his domain. There was the problem with mating a mortal of the pray type,he could take and he quite often did take, the guise of a klipspringer and while he was hap in this guise, there was the worry that his children would be eaten by someone if they chose to move in tot he real world. It was a real conundrum for the young male god and he had ultimately, decided, that he must find a mate in a goddess.

This revelation had come and he had gone in search. It felt odd searching for someone to love and he had met many gods and goddesses on his travels. They had mostly been meet and greets, a day or two together perhaps, but mostly he had simply made some friends. Some good friends, certainly friends he would go back to later to firm up friendships but no one to love.

He had given up and was on his way home, home back to his herd when he came across the Iknimaya. The pride was a pride of hunters, something that his brothers domain really linked with more than his own. He had been curious though because of their love of the land, their unusual way of life and their vibrant coats. He had decided to visit and though his own brown coat had been a brow raiser, due to his goddly status he had been welcomed by some and spoken to of their ways. It was here amongst the deep canopy that he met their Eywa.

She was a goddess and she was stunning, her soft lilac fur had made him smile and her smile had made him grin. She had been beautiful, she was beautiful and he had proceeded to make friends with her. His heart hammered when she smiled at him and he played the fool. He wasn't as young as he had been with Sanaa, but Eywa, no Nyaa, had made him feel like a silly cub. Time had passed between them as things always do, time had passed and he finally asked the goddess with the lilac fur if he would be his mate.

The night before, she had agreed and the young horned and hoofed god lay, happily, with his herd, he would at last have a mate and it made his heart soar, he loved the lady, he loved her more than anything, she was so beautiful and talented and devoted to her pride. She was his hearts desire and he would forever be devoted to her.
