Frostpaw was bored. She was nearly an adult now, or so she felt, so she'd left mamma's den without permission. Where she was going? The little adolescent girl didn't know. She just knew her brother and sister were boring and that mom thought she was an idiot. Thus why she was wandering around the pride. Her nose was pressed to the ground like she'd often seen Winterwind do.
It struck Frostpaw's mind to become a finder like her mother was, but it seemed really trivial and useless. Snorting at the dust that flew into her nose as she breathed in, the not-quite pup sneezed a few times and whined a little. "Stupid dust! That's so dumb. I want to be something better than that!" She stamped her paw down and sneezed yet again as dust flew up into the air.
"Aaargh!" Her green eyes looked around for someone, anyone, to play with right this minute. Of course, she was a little lost, so she could be anywhere. "Crap."

Brightnight found himself sitting on the edge of a rock. Not a big rock, only a few feet above the ground. He could touch his front paws on the ground while laying on the rock if he wished. He yawned; boredom was setting in. He hadn't been able to have any fun for a while. The breeze was nice and crisp; just how he liked it. He yawned again.
He heard a noise; a voice. It made him think he was losing his mind. He didn't see anyone, yet the voice happened again. Not a loud voice; not yet. It was far away, or that's what he figured. He wasn't old enough to go insane yet. No, not this insane. He sat up and started to look around.
Nothing, at least not yet.
