Book Cover Design ContestStarts: November 8th at 8AM MST (AKA: Now) Ends: November 11th at 8AM MST Naked HagThe Ash stained Maiden. Deathly White and the Wicked Goblins. The Lost Girl in the Isles of Madness. All of these Soquilian tales make for a good read, to be certain, but what of the truly sinister stories? The legends of ghosts and monsters? There are plenty of those stories to be told as well.
Over time dozens of these scary stories have been collected and they are ready to be bound together. There’s only one problem: the cover is missing. A new one needs to be created immediately and for that reason we turn to you.

Rules~~< You need to design a book cover around the theme of Soquilian scary stories. You may not call it Soquilian Scary Stories. I’m sorry but you’ll have to come up with your own title.
~~< It should be clear what the theme is from the cover.
~~< All work must be 100% yours and created for this contest.
~~< No mules.
~~< No proxies.
~~< Please do not post images over 500 x 500 pixels. Use a link for anything larger.
~~< You only get one entry though you may edit it up until closing time.
~~< You are welcome to use any medium (Pencil & paper, paint, photoshop, twigs & leaves, etc.) but for any 3-D medium you will need to take a picture of your project with your username to prove you made it.
~~< Use the form when entering.
~~< More rules may be added if it is necessary. I’ve got a cover for you!

I’ve got a cover for you! Username: dawns_auraMain Image: front cover **if you can't read the words- Brother Flutter's Tattered Wings and Other Tails As Told By: Laures Silvertongue **Extra Images: Table of ContentsWhat did you use to make it?: Photoshop Elements 8.0Additional Comments:What are 'Once upon a Time' stories but stories to give fears an explanation and a face. Brother Flutter is a flutter, and so what is one of their greatest fears but the inability to fly. This is Brother Flutter's collection of tales which address some fears that are unique to each different breed and some fears that are universal. Ok, so the cover itself is kinda dull and blah ( I actually had more fun coming up with the table of contents…. Ok, so I now might actually have to write a few of the 'Tails 'mentioned) Anyways…yea… fun contest….

I’ve got a cover for you! Username: Elf Princess Flannery Main Image: Extra Images: Full size cover, Original painting no text, Product form, Design Sketch, Close up 1, Close up 2, Close up 3What did you use to make it?: Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (the trial only been using it for a month) Additional Comments: I had so much fun painting this! Overall it took me at least 12.5 hours to do start to finish, but it was worth it! I even worked on it at school. Everything you see was hand painted with a mouse in Photoshop except for the font (Trajan Pro). I did my best to keep it clean and professional in its presentation. I wanted to design a book that I would pick up, something eye catching and intriguing. Please enjoy this piece, I hope you love it as much as I do. And thank you for making such a fun contest, I really enjoyed this one.

I’ve got a cover for you!Username: Kettyn Main Image: Here **For the life of me PB isn't working** Extra Images: One, Some "real" material I used, More material, Last ShotWhat did you use to make it?: Black Poster Paper, Acrylic Paint, Glue, Grass clippings, wood chips, branches from several varieties of trees, a crow feather, paper towel (teepee), toothpicks & coffee stirsticks from work ... and to hold the paper in it's position like a book - I used two full cereal boxes. (( And hair )) Additional Comments: Lol. I tried to have the horse look like it was injured. It's tail has real hair in it. The whole idea for me was to take items from nature and use them creatively. I had fun creating this - and got some weird looks from my coworkers at the same time when I explained my 'nature hunt'. PS: I can't use PS to save my life - this was my alternative. ~*happy dances out of the entry thread*~

I’ve got a cover for you!Username: Thalea Main Image: Extra Images: Original Drawing, Big CoverWhat did you use to make it?: Adobe Photoshop CS4 Additional Comments: I had actually planned on making this an actual book cover. It has the same dimensions of my thick book of fairy tales; the only thing that it is missing is the flaps that would keep the paper cover on a book, I spaced about that until now. The wording on the back cover is this, just in case it hard to read :] Something Twisted This Way Comes….
Open this book if you dare, For hidden in here is nothing fair. Wicked beings come to life, And thrust upon the world a bloody strife. Hope will die and the earth will cry. Courageous heroes will be slain, Their attacks in vain, No matter how brave or how strong, they always fail, Against the evil unleashed from this tale. So heed my words and beware, What is sealed in this book is aware, And wishing to leave its lair. Listen, young one, to the message I am sending, There is no such thing as a happy ending.
