It had been a few days since they returned from the field trip that only lasted one day, but seemed to go on forever. Crying on Mac and spending a few days just sleeping over at his place did wonders to her sanity, but nightmares still plagued her every night... She just couldn't get the horrible things that she had witnessed out of her head. As she tried desperately to get back into the swing of things, clinging to the 'normal' things in her life, Lizzy became increasingly aware that she had not seen a particular pink haired demon for a while.
... Which was worrying.
Thus, armed with what she assumed was his favorite food - pepperoni pizza with a cheesy stuffed crust - she made her way down to his room, "Charlie! You in?" He could probably smell the cheese from inside.

The smell of cheese had done the job of getting the demons undivided attention even before Lizzy had asked if he was in. The door opened and revealed a robed pink haired demon with some very strange looking lepus slippers on. A big stupid grin rested on his lips as he first eyed the pizza then Lizzy.
"You really need to make it a habit of coming over," He finally said as the door opened wider to invite the demoness in. The room was in its usual eerily clean state. Not a piece of lint in site nor a speck of dust. There seemed to be a gleam off those wooden floors of his too.
"I just finished waxing." One would hope he meant the floor.

"Waxi- Oh!" It was difficult to miss how shiny the floors look; the state of Charlie's room was enough to put hers to shame, neatness-wise. Pizza box in one hand, she gave Charlie a one armed hug before letting him go to ruffle his hair. There was a pause as she leaned back, raising an eyebrow before giggling, "I think you grew taller, Charlie!"
"If you say so," She laughed, walking in and leaving her shoes by the door, afraid to get the floor of his room dirty, "Even if I think you like seeing the pizza I bring more than you like seeing me." She was teasing of course, judging by the grin on her face as she held the box out towards the boil.

Charlies chest puffed out when Lizzy told him she thought he must have gotten taller. This pleased Charlie to no end.
"Yeah! Maybe I'll be as tall as Mac OR TALLER!" He closed the door behind him and accepted the pizza, "Hu-huh. No ..." He almost flailed but he didnt want to drop the pizza in hand. Charlie was very aware when pizza was involved. "I like seeing you just as much as pizza."
There was a nod from Charlie. The smell of pizza was starting to make it hard to focus though. After all the cleaning he had done the demon was ready to eat something.

"One day, no doubt," She giggled; honestly, Mac wasn't the tallest boil she had seen, so it was very possible for Charlie to hit his height. She couldn't resist grinning at Charlie, "Oh? I like seeing you too. Maybe I'll make dropping by your room a habit!" Being with Charlie was fun, and it was easy to feel carefree with him.
"Tuck in then... You look hungry," She gestured at the pizza box, hoping that there would not be a repeat of what happened the last time; she wasn't sure the cleaning gnomes appreciate pizza stuck on the ceiling.

The demon was nodding in agreement that Lizzy should drop by more often. Pizza was already hanging from his mouth the moment she said to go ahead. Charlie set the box down and sat down Indian style and gnawed at the piece. Then he helped him self to another.
His foot kicked the pizza box toward Lizzy. Charlie still had some manners. There were almost animal and slurping noises as he went at his slice though. He was ruthless.

She stared at the pizza in all its cheesy glory, narrowed her eyes, and then picked the piece that she thought looked like the smallest. Knowing her speed of eating verses Charlie's speed of devouring pizza, he would be finished with the rest of the box before she finished her slice.
"What have you been up to lately?" She asked casually, nibbling on the sharper end of the pizza.

"I met a lot of new students while you guys were away~" He gave Lizzy a happy smile. He remembered Chuppi and Muka and the nachos. The food.
"Uh. What about you? You went on that trip?" The demon was helping him self to a third piece of pizza.

"Ohh? Do tell!" Her eyes widened as she crossed her legs, "It's good to meet new people! Although... I was really only gone for a day." She forced a laugh, taking another bite out of the pizza; it was still difficult to believe that so many things happened within the span of a single day...
"Ah, the field trip..." She wasn't sure Charlie would understand even if she tried to explain. Actually, she wasn't sure if she wanted Charlie to know at all... But that might just make things worse.
"It was terrible," She admitted, shaking her head, trying not to let her emotions get the best of her as she continued, her voice soft, desperately trying to think of a way to explain things in a simple manner, "Do you remember the people in cloaks, Charlie? We saw them again. They are called hunters and they are very, very bad people. They tried to hurt us. They put me in a cage... They hurt Amrita and Xiu and Mot." At this, she quickly took another bite out of her pizza, using more force than needed to chew.
"They will hurt you too, if you are not careful... If you see one of them, report them to the office straight away, okay? Promise me."

Charlie had been about to tell Lizzy about the epic adventures he had with his new friends but his jaw clenched shut the moment Lizzy shared. First off , her story was more impressive then any tale he could spin, and second, she mentioned Amrita being hurt which made the demons face darken.
NEVER MIND Lizzy being in a cage, Xiu and Mot being hurt as well. Some one had hurt AMRITA. And even though Charlie knew things were different between the two because of Amritas sudden changes, it still hit a nerve to hear she got hurt.
"WHOAH WHOAH WHOAH!" Charlie was standing and shouting AND managing to eat his, some how fifth, slice of pizza. ALL AT ONCE.
"AMRITA?"

"Yes, they hurt Amrita," She repeated herself, frowning as she looked down at the leftover pizza, "You should go visit her one day... She was pretty injured, so I'm sure that she would appreciate it." Hopefully, Charlie's visit would cheer the ghoul up a bit, especially since Charlie was... Well, Charlie.
"Maybe you could bring her something too," She suggested with a small smile and a light chuckle.

Lizzy's idea had been a very good one. Charlie nodded at the other pink haired demon.
"You think that Amrita likes pizza? I could bring her that? What does Amrita like?" He didn't want Amrita to be hurt and all alone. Pizza would make it all right though?

"You could try bringing her pizza! I know she likes flowers and uh, the common floresce," She smiled, remembering seeing a huge tank of them in her room the last time she visited. Seeing Charlie so concerned about his friend warmed her heart as she giggled, "Although I think Amrita would like any sort of present as long as it's from you."

Charlie beamed up at Lizzy.
"Okay. I'll think of something." He leaned in and gave Lizzy a hug.
"I'll dazzle her!~" Now he was talking about Amrita like he used to. He scratched his head, "As a friend... Uhhhhh.... ummm..." This was confusing to him still. It was hard to get over feelings for some one just like that. It was like quitting a drug. Baby steps. Even if Amrita had changed, Charlie deep on the inside still felt a flame of hope that maybe that hard head from not so long ago still remained. Some where.
Things were different now though.
"Maybe I could give you the thing.. you give it to her," Now that he thought about it he wasn't sure if seeing Amrita right now was a good idea.

Lizzy returned the hug easily, ruffling Charlie's hair with her clean hand before frowning a little at his comment; right, Charlie's little crush on Amrita and his declaration to become 'special friends' with her... It all seemed to happen so long ago that it had slipped her mind until recently. Amrita was growing up, little by little, and not only body-wise either; she had to have that awkward 'talk' with her a while ago too! However, Charlie...
"Why don't you go give it to her yourself?" She asked, honestly surprised since he had seemed so eager to visit her a moment ago... He was also really upset about her getting hurt, so it struck her as odd that he didn't want to go down personally.
