Sai had been drug tot he circus by his friends, but he'd been shocked at what he found. He was actually getting physically sick at the people being put on display here, but he'd quietly spoken to a few and found they were actually treated well. the only times they entered their cages were for shows and he drew some comfort from this. as he was walking, an angry voice came to his ears and he followed it to a cage that held a small boy that was laying on the floor of his cage breathing hard. "i'm guessing that you were the one shouting, little one?" he asked gently as he approached. his eyes fell on the nameplate and he shook his head, "such foolishness. surely you've a proper name, wont you tell it to me?"

Sai frowned deeply when he saw someone poke the boy, which caused a violent reaction. the fear expressed when Sai had first adressed him proved this boy was nothing like the others. "Kibou," he said softly, "a beautiful name." he studied the boy, taking in everything his experience and training had given him and already he had an idea of the boy's diagnosis. He'd be annoyed at being poked too-this was cruel. it was cild abuse, abuse to a mentally disordered minor, neglect-so many things ran through his head and he felt himself growing angry, a rare emotion for him. "Kibou, who is in charge of your care? if i was able to get you out of this cage and take you home with me, would you be willing to come with me?"

Sai's heart broke when he saw the other trembling, and the tear did him in. he moved to the side where the boy was curled up and crouched so his face was level with the others. "Kibou? i'm going to touch you now, ok? i promise i am not going to hurt you." he slowly reached his hand in and paused for a moment before placing his hand on the other's head and gently stroking his hair. "don't worry, Kibou. i know a thing or two about how to get you out of here. i'll be back soon, ok?" he removed his hand and smiled. "when i get you out, we'll get you something warm to eat and i'll treat you to anything you want, ok? now where will i find the ringmaster?"

Sai turned to the man and straightened and stood at his full six foot four inches, looking down at the man with uce chips for eyes. "it is good that you are here, i will be taking this boy from your care as of this moment. My name is Doctor Sai Fugiwara, and i can list over six different abuses you have inflicted upon this boy." his eyes narrowed and he leaned down closer to the man, "the mayor, police chief, and govoner are all my close friends whom i've worked with personally on several occasions and know on a first name basis. all it will take is a single phone call and i can have your entire circus shut down and you will be going to prison for a long, long time. and you know what they say-" he smiled, and it was a smile that made even the most hardened of criminals shrink away, "child abusers are the lowest of low in prison. i give you two days before you become someone's b***h, maybe even several someones'. however, give me the boy and whatever legal documents that connect him to you and i shall forget what i saw here today."

Sai arched a perfectly formed eyebrow, "i see. thank you for your cooperation." he turned to the cage and his entire deminor changed. he was once more kind and soft and his eyes took in the boy gently. "Kibou, i'm going to open the cage now. do you want to come out here or should i go inside with you so we can talk for a moment before you come out?" he asked as he put the key into the hole, completely dismissing the ringmaster. it took a surprising amount of force to open the door, which meant it was hardly ever used and that just angered Sai even more. "The door is open now, Kibou, you can come out now. take your time, i don't want to rush you."

Sai smiled, "yes, we'll go home now. i'm going to touch you now, ok?" he said softly as he knelt and wrapped his arms around the diminuitive sixteen year old. he held him for a moment before he removed his jacket and placed it over the boy's shoulders. "I'm going to pick you up now, Kibou. i promise i wont drop you, ok?" he slide an arm under the boy's knees and placed the other across his mid back before standing and lifting the boy in one smooth movement. like this Kibou could continue to hold onto him and would be held close to himself and hsi warmth while he was able to move swiftly. he turned his steely gaze on the ringmaster once more. "if i ever hear apeep from you or any of yours again, i promise you i'll have you in prison before you can blink." he warned one last time before walking away from the man and this horrid circus with it's greatest treasure held safely in his arms. "kibou? are you hungry? would you like to get something to eat, or do you want me to take you home so we can wash up and get you something proper to wear first?"

Sai nodded, "then we shall go home first, before getting something to eat. of course you can sleep in a bed. i'm sorry, but you'll have to share mine for a bit until i am able to get you one of your own." his eyes widened when he felt the other's lips pressed to his own and he stopped, looking down at the boy. why? he kissed him, but there was a reason behind it. "of course i wont use a hose, is that what they used before?" he finally reached his car and put Kibou down on the passenger side before unlocking the door and helping the boy get in. "you can either have a bath or a shower, both are available." he showed Kibou how to buckle himself in before shutting the door and getting in the passenger seat.

all the while he was thinking of the kiss. the boy didn't just randomly kiss him. there was meaning behind it. most likely it was a sign of thanks, but how would the boy know what kissing was? had he seen others doing it outside of his cage and made his own interpretation of the action? "Kibou?" he asked gently as he started the car, "why did you kiss me? i'm not mad, i just want to know." there was always that horrid possibility that the boy's abuses extended to that area, which would mean that Sai would have to be extra careful.
