Von dropped her books on the table next to the couch and slumped down into it. This getting up early to 'get ready' was dragging her down, not to mention her mother has been sending her some disturbing letters in regards to her schooling and home life. The over all effect being Von almost passed out asleep on the common room couch.

Quillan had just gotten out of class when some idiot distracted him, trying to purchase some ink bombs for some sort of revenge Quillan wanted no part of--that boy obviously did not know what the price of an ink bomb was these days! He huffed just at the thought! Because of that dumb dolt, he missed ten minutes of precious break time--and Quillan lived for break times! He lived for it! They were the highlights of his day!
As Quillan dragged himself back to the Slytherin Common Room, he felt drowsier and drowsier. When he finally arrived--spewing out some stupid password--he flopped down on the couch, completely oblivious to everything around him, and fell into a deep sleep. He didn't even care to wonder why the touch seemed smaller than usual.

Von was finally relaxing out and was almost asleep when she was bounced on the couch. Eyes flying open she looked next to her to see a fast asleep Quill. " 'ey! Watch were you're floppin around! Geez, I fergot how dangerous it is down 'ere." Not being fully awake or in the best of mood her deep South American accent was in full effect. With a humph she she sat back against the couch. Long as the kid didn't kick her or bother her in anyway she was ok with just dropping the subject and enjoying the quiet.

Quillan heard something protest in the midst of his sleep and just about half of him woke up because of it. With half-lidded eyes, he glanced at the person in front of him. "Mmgh... Fine, mom, he muttered, mistakenly thinking Vonali's shape was his mother's silhouette. "Shmmy couch anyway," he mumbled, thinking that this was his room (not that he would not have laid claim to the Common Room's couch either). And with those parting words, he sank back into his sleep, happy as a clam.
He dreamed of some weird things--including a giant feast filled with a bunch of meat. And the meat could talk and dance--and it was the kid's jobs to rip them apart. But ignoring that morbid part of the dream, Quillan kept having Marshmallow pounce at his feet, causing him to jerk them back and forth. "Stopishh, Mallowsh..." He muttered, struggling to get away from "Marshmallow's warm paws."

Von grunted as Quill talked in his sleep but wasn't worried about it as she closed her eyes. Soon she was dreaming though nothing really detailed mostly fussy shapes and feeling of everything closing in on her. Soon she began kicking at the offensive walls. It took her a few minutes of kicking before she sleepily woke up. Looking around she realized she'd curled up on the other end of the couch and had been kicking at Quill, with a half giggle she sat up and closed her eyes again. Hopefully she wouldn't lay back down and they'd kick each other again.

Marshmallow suddenly gave up and Quillan's feet were back to being still. After a few minutes of dreamless sleep, Quillan suddenly felt the sensation of sinking and jerked up into a sitting position--still completely drowsy. From there, he fell forward and curled up into a ball, his knees tucked loosely to his chest. Not even a minute later, he pushed himself out of the ball, scooting up towards the other end of the couch. Mmm... comfy! He stretched out to his full height, curling his toes and flexing his back. A long sigh exhaled from his throat and Quillan flopped over again, completely peaceful. From this position, he stretched out his lanky arms (accidentally throwing them over Vonali). "Hmm..." He exhaled a long breath, loving the warmth that surrounded him.

Von was sleeping just right when she suddenly started getting warm. The heat woke her and she noticed Quill had some how managed to curl up with her and had thrown his arms over her. With a grunt she pushed away from the couch hoping to knock Quill to the floor. " 'ey! Wake up!"

Quillan was being swept off to dream land when he suddenly felt himself shifting on the couch--"Nnngh!?" He exclaimed as he dropped to the floor, landing uncomfortably on his side. "Ugh," he grunted, rubbing his sore bum. It wasn't the first time that Quillan fell off that couch--but it sure seemed to be the one the hurt the most! "Not again..." he mumbled, pulling himself into a sitting position. As he did, he glanced up--
"WHOA! When did you get there!?" He exclaimed, surprised by Vonali's presence. "H-how long have--" Then it hit him. It wasn't Marshmallow who was playing with his feet--it was Vonali. Red flooded his face. "Oh shoot." He had been sleeping next to a girl the entire time. "Why didn't you wake me soon!?" He exclaimed, thoroughly embarrassed by... well, everything about the situation.

Von couldn't help but laugh at Quill's expression. Oh and the red was just too much. "OH Quill, I never knew you felt like that" She batted her eyes at him. She wondered just how long he'd buy her act, but she couldn't help but laugh. " Well for oneI was here first, and two I tried and you didn't wake but you were on the other end of the couch so I figured it wouldn't be a big thing. Next thing I know you're next to me and that's when I pushed to the floor. Though hopefully you won't mistake me for your mother." Oh his red face was just too cute. But she leaned forward to help him off the floor now that he was awake.

Quillan managed to get even redder. He had played footsie with Vonali! FOOTSIE! Oh--kill him now! Thank god that no one else had saw them! It was just... SO. Embarrassing! "I-I don't feel like that!--I mean, what is that! I KNOW OF NO THAT!" Quillan exclaimed, completely flustered. Heat continued to rise to his head. "I feel absolutely nothing--maybe a little bit warm--BUT BESIDE THAT! Nothing!" I can't believe I was sleeping next to her! Oh. My. MERLIN! Why hadn't he woke up!? Surely, he had to have--OH. So that's... oh...
Quillan smacked his forehead with the palm of his head. "I thought you were my mom!" He exclaimed, not as embarrassed (though what he just said then should have been more embarrassing). He took her offered hand and pulled himself off the floor, "Jeez, Von... Haven't you heard that you're supposed to wake people up gently?" He kidded, the flush fading from his cheeks. "I almost had a heart attack..."

Von was laughing so hard she almost couldn't help him to the couch as it stood as soon as he sat the couch tipped her just slightly so she was leaning on him. "Might have served you right. After all I was the one being kicked and pawed at." Her laughing was dieing down to a hiccuped snicker but she knew if anyone had walked in when she said that would have had her rolling all over again. " Oh I needed a good laugh, thank you." She was still trying to catch her breath while leaning on him.

"K-kick and pawed at?" Quillan inquired, gulping. "I did not paw at you!" He defended himself, "You were totally the one pawing at me! Like seriously! Paw! Paw! MEOW!" As he said so, he pawed her several times on her arm and let out a rather convincing, though somewhat estranged, meow (teachings curtsy of Marshmallow the cat). "Psh--me... clawing at you?" He scoffed, the red returning to his cheeks. Was he really pawing at her? Oh! Quillan was on the verge of dying from embarrassment! And Vonali kept laughing! (It wasn't like it was hurting her feelings, but the heat along his face didn't fade). To fit in some, Quillan joined in with some fake laughter.
OH! A good laugh! Yeah--I was totally awake during all of this," Quillan feebly lied, "You just looked like you needed a laugh--y'know? You're welcome! I'd do it anytime!" Quillan's facade was going pretty well by his standards, and he popped up from the couch and began to step backwards, ready to make a swift escape when he backed into a piece of furniture. It sent him flinging down--he just narrowly made it back on the couch! "Totally meant that too! You know me--master... at uh..." The red returned to his cheeks. Oh yeah. He's so smooth.

Von raised an eyebrow at him barely able to contain her laughter. But managed to keep herself upright as he stood to leave only to fall back to the couch. " Darlin, you were on my side of the couch, so I highly doubt I was pawin at you. But if ya'd like me to.." She left the last hanging as she started to move closer to Quil. When she was right in his face she gave his cheek a pat and moved to her side of the couch. " And if you had been awake I doubt falling on the floor would be all that happened. Attor taught me how to box last year and I'd have defended my honor." She smiled and while it was light-hearted one could tell she was serious about decking someone who might take advantage of her. " So why'd you crash on the couch? Bad day too?" She pulled her feet under her and got comfortable.

"PLEASE DON'T!" Quillan exclaimed, jumping backwards as quickly as he possible could. He was actually thinking that even the swiftest of rabbits would've been proud of him for his swift movement! "I mean--pawing doesn't sound that enjoyable--y'know? Not at all!" He quickly added, "It sounds a bit painful--y'see, my cat always tries pawing at me during her sleep and it can get pretty painful sometimes! Yeah--the claws. Yup. Claws!" Quillan steadily moved farther away from Vonali as he did, nodding vehemently as he spoke. "Claws!" He emphasized for a final time, shoving his hands out with his fingers poached like claws.
"Attor?" Quillan interrupted, his fingers falling back to his side. Attor... Hm. He didn't let his thoughts linger on him much--"HEY! Why didn't you come to me for fighting lessons? I totally beat Attor... I mean, it was in the bag... If didn't pull out his wand, I would've had him!" Quillan protested, pouting quite a bit.
He blinked a few times when Vonali asked about his day, "This is my everyday--didn't you know?" He asked her, sincerely curious. Quillan thought by now everyone knew about his sleeping adventures.

Von giggled at his reactions but managed to smile as he talked about his duel with Attor. " Darlin there's no way you could handle me. But if you ever want to give it a go... Well you know where to find me." She just sat there smiling the whole time thoroughly enjoying this moment. " I knew you occasionally slept on the couch I didn't know you liked to snuggle." Her grin turned into a full smile as she spoke knowing she'd probably get another blush from him. Oh she'd never forget today, and she'd probably make sure he didn't either.
