[END][PRP] A Night Out [Juno // Zone]

With Juno's recent display in the cafeteria and earning himself some detention with his good buddy, Black Blood. He definitely had to make up for it some way, some how.

And what better way to do that than to spend some quality time with his best friend?

How could Juno have possibly expected to come back to SA and find that his partner in crime had landed himself the detention teacher position..? And imagine the shock he felt when he did find this out! The two definitely had a lot of things to catch up on, three years worth.

It took a lot of persuading and persistence on Juno's part in order to get BB to come out for a night, considering how cranky he could get. With the added on factor that he was upset that Juno hadn't told him he was coming back to SA, nor was he the first to know that he was back. But it was seemingly impossible for BB to stay angry at Juno for long, that had always been the way things had been between them. Juno would make him angry, but later make things better. It was normal.

Juno of course missed his friend loads during his time away, but he had been quite the busy bee. He told Zone to meet him at the end of the path to Ronth from the academy, and told him to wear something nice. They were going out, as in out to parties and clubs and bars. Things like that. Zone couldn't wear his usual baggy dark clothing, it was such a dreary look. But knowing him, Juno had the right instinct to bring some fashionable clothes for his friend because Zone's closet was mostly filled with all the same sort of dreary baggy clothes. They were a present, for not seeing him so long. And he knew BB would be cranky in general for not seeing each other, so maybe this would make him less so considering the circumstances and how he'd managed to make things worse by one: getting caught with a student and two: causing trouble.

He wondered what detention with BB would be like as he waited for his friend to show up. He assumed it wouldn't be the boring way it was when they attended SA.

A night out in the city with a model friend. What was Zone thinking? "I shouldn't have said yes." he stared at the clothes hanged on his cabinet. He's color scheme? Blacks, grey, blues...most of it a darker color. The only thing that has a lighter tone was the blueish hue camouflage he usually wears. And most of it are large jackets with large hoodies. A man who lives in the limelight and a man who hides. It doesn't seem a good idea. But he does miss his eccentric friend, so he grabbed whatever that doesn't have a hole in it, having an acidic blood was too much of a hassle, especially with a guy who often fights bloody battles. A slate grey over-sized tactical utility jacket that he zipped up with the collar covering his mouth. Kept his hair down and wore a baseball cap that he pulled down to cover his face. One word to describe his look, a stalker. But he's headed for Ronth, and he doesn't want to bump to old forgotten acquaintances of the underground world. Half truth and half reasoning, it's just the way he dresses.

And so Zone reached their meeting place. Without Juno in the academy, all Zone did when he's going out on free nights like this was secretly sign up to underground fights for extra cash, info gathering and observing hotspots. And when he's in the academy he has to deal with irritating super-powered students in detention, of course, detention changed when he became it's supervisor. And students hate him more because of it. Outside it was missions. It was getting tiring for him. He certainly deserve this night out with Juno.

"Who's this shining guy?" Zone thought as he saw Juno waiting for him in an arms length away from where he was standing. "Ugh" he stopped and was about to turn around intending to back-out.

Juno himself was not in his usual hero-attire, of course. Instead he was wearing a plain white t-shirt with a stylish red, black striped hoodie, black fit jeans with yellow-white sneakers and no shades. Needless to say, he was semi-bright even in the darkness.

Once he saw a dark figure walking towards him from a distance, Juno immediately waved his arm high and wide in greeting. And once BB was only a few feet away...

"Ugh"

"Hey hey, what kind of response is that." Juno said with a fake frown. "And what's with this get-up?"

Juno looked his friend up and down. As he expected, Zone didn't have anything 'nice' in his wardrobe collection. Thank goodness he'd thought of that beforehand. Zone was looking his usually dark gloomy self. Not that there was anything wrong with that, but on a night out in the city... One hardly can have fun if you're not dressed for it.

"Well thank goodness I thought to get you something." He laughed and punched BB lightly in the shoulder. "Sigh."

And he bent over to grab a bag that was sitting by his feet, unnoticeable in the dark unless you knew it was already there. Out of it he pulled a brand new sleek leather jacket with a few silver buckles and silver studs around the cuffs and collar; by the look of it one could assume it was rather expensive. But Juno was the type to be generous for those he cared for and held dearly. The jacket he shoved into BB's hands as he was busy pulling something else from the bag, a pair of nicely fitting black jeans, much like his own only BB's size. He hadn't really grown, so there were no worries here. This he threw over BB's head. And then the last thing he pulled out were some rather shiny looking kicks which were black fashioned with electric blue streaks and laces. Those he placed on top of the jacket already sitting in BB's hands.

"There! Happy Birthday!" Juno said cheerfully. Of course he knew it wasn't really his birthday. "Now put them on." He added with a little more command in his voice.

"There! Happy Birthday! Now put them on."

A set of a new attire was shoved into Zone by Juno. "New clothes... he thought, his mind weren't able to process. He stood with his hands out with the new jacket and shoes on his hands and new jeans on his head. "...new expensive clothes...that's a model for you..." he thought again.

"Uh, why do I have to wear these? I mean...thanks." he finally said while a bit flushed. "And it's not my birthday. I don't have anything to give you though." he glanced to the side.

They found a public toilet and Zone changed to his new clothes, came out and faced Juno with his old clothes inside the paper bag . "How the heck do you know my size?" ((that's creepy, lol joke it's just me)) his looks were upgraded from a secret creepy stalker now a personal bodyguard for a celebrity. "It's a bit compact don't you think?" came from a person who dressed baggy and dark. "Are these studs really necessarily?" so many questions...he's just happy. "Where are we going exactly?" he will stop eventually.

"Uh, why do I have to wear these? I mean...thanks."

"Because you look like a creep in those clothes, girls won't come near you." Juno said seriously but he was joking, and his expression immediately changed into his usual teasing grin. "And of course I know it's not your birthday you dope. You think I don't know when my own best friend's birthday is?" Juno laughed and shook his head while patting Zone on the shoulder.

"How the heck do you know my size? It's a bit compact don't you think? Are these studs really necessarily? Where are we going exactly?

"One, I guessed. Two, it's supposed to show off your muscle. Three, yes you need to look a little shiny. And four, a night club bar lounge-y place that I heard was good from a model friend. It's called The Red Light or something. Have you heard of it?" Juno only inquired because Zone was from Ronth. Though he wasn't sure exactly how well acquainted his friend was with the night life of Ronth aside from the well... Gangs and such.

"We really ought to find you a girl, don't you think?" Juno teased as he put his arm around Zone's shoulders and trudged him along down the dimly lit streets of the city. He only knew that Zone was once vaguely in love with a woman, but not much had come from the situation as she was taken already. Other than that particular situation, the rest of Zone's love-life seemed to be stale or nonexistent. Not that he'd had much luck in the past either.

"The Red what? Hmm must be new." Zone didn't really went to bars for merry making before, he and he's gang were usually ambushing or thrashing the place and was too busy punching faces to notice girls. Speaking of girls..."Why do I need girls to come near me?" he said with a raised eyebrow. Not that he doesn't like girls, he just thinks they are too fragile and might break easily, especially with him. It became a norm for him to not chase after them.

And as they walked down the street, an agitated panicking woman bumped into them. She was hysterical and barefooted even though she was wearing a nice dress and makeup, probably was too afraid to pick up her shoes. From the bruises on her knees she most likely tripped before. She shouted that a mad man was blowing up things up front and after that she ran away from the two. A lot of people ran away from where she came from soon after.

"Why do I need girls to come near me?"

"It might make you less grumpy." Juno smirked. Though it was momentarily gone as a panicked woman made her way towards the two.

What? A man blowing things up?

She wasn't the last to run passed them frantically, that was certain.

Juno frowned. Why of all nights did there have to be a stir up when all he wanted to do was spend some time with his best friend whom he hadn't seen in years? And in Ronth no less. And when he was pleasantly dressed up too. And when he'd also managed to get BB dressed up as well. What was this! Karma apparently didn't like him or something maybe.

Juno sighed. "I guess it's time to go to work, right?" He nudged BB in the rib with his elbow, while with his other hand pulled his shades out of his back pocket. He always carried them with him.

Putting them on, Juno jogged down the block and around the corner to where large flashes of light and flames were growing larger. It was sort of difficult considering that all the people were running in the opposite direction as him. But he easily navigated his way through to the end of the block where there indeed was a man shooting and blowing up things with grenades and a bazooka. Apparently though, he was aiming all this at another man that Juno couldn't quite make out just yet from all the chaos and exploding going on.

"I guess it's time to go to work, right?"

"I'm delighted." Zone crunched his knuckles, being in missions or going after criminals was way more comfortable than looking for girls in some clubs.

He followed Juno and saw a mad man was causing havoc everywhere. "Dude, what bad aim." his comment when he saw that the man was aiming towards a single person and instead he missed out several times hitting establishments and cars. And it was just a few years ago Zone did that same, a different weapon of choice though, and with bad aim too.

It's illegal possessing those firearms, he's not an ordinary person. And it's worst that the fire was spreading everywhere. Zone saw a fire hydrant and smashed several blood vials to it. The top melted off and the water started to spurt out. Zone kicked it again and a huge water pressure came out towards the sky. It rained down onto the fire that was slowly dying down, but it wasn't enough.

The armed man didn't stop and Zone finally noticed who was that person's target is. A masked man with a yellow hat. "Ugh. It's that creep Vibes."

Zone looked at his friend, it appears that Juno's hands were already full. "SS!" he shouted at him. "We can't afford to have more casualties! If we let him go after Vibes shooting at everything, this place will blow up!" he made a move towards Vibes. "Keep him company for a while! I'll catch this other freak!" and quickly ran after Mr. Good Vibes leaving Juno to duel the armed man.

There were a lot of things going through Juno's mind at the moment. It was the first 'hero-ing' he'd done in months. Since the Blue Rose incident. He wasn't exactly sure how he felt about it so far... But what else could he do? He couldn't just allow this mayhem to continue, not when he and BB were in the vicinity.

"Dude, what bad aim."

Juno chuckled. "Yeah, looks like someone's malfunctioning." He noticed that at the arm socket of the man's right arm there were wires popping out. An android. But who would be capable of creating such a life-like resemblance?

"Ugh. It's that creep Vibes."

Juno nodded his head at this. "Villains versus villains, what else is new." He chortled. Granted it was strange that this endeavor was occurring so out in the open.

"Yeah, you go get him. I'll take care of this." Juno shouted at BB as he ran off in the direction of the masked figure making a getaway while pulling the sleeves of his hoodie up. Water from the hydrant trickling down his head and dripping from the edges of his pitch black shades, he eyed the android carefully.

"HEY THERE MAN. Looks like you need a little oil. Or a mechanic. Unfortunately for you, I don't happen to be one." Juno said, a wide smirk gliding its way onto his light-skinned face. It seemed so easy for him to slide back into the groove of hero-dom.

The android immediately flipped around to face his new opponent. "No time for this insolence." He said in a sternness and aimed a firearm at Juno. But his shot missed and was about to hit a nearby car if it hadn't been for Juno's double paintball shot. The three shots exploding against each other violently in light and flames in midair. Juno dived behind a lamppost. It was a close one. He really couldn't afford for the android to try making another shot at him, especially with the fires already going on. Thankfully most of the people had gotten away by now, who would be dumb enough to stick around to watch a fight like this anyway?

Zone caught up to Mr. Good Vibes in a secluded alley, the yellow clad villain was panting for air in a corner.

"Please won't you just spare me?" Vibes said to Zone with hands raised up signaling that he surrenders. "Isn't being chased by that busted robot enough?" but Zone immediately rushed towards him and punched him at his stomach. Being this close to them isn't good for this two. One, Mr. Good Vibes could easily use his powers, two Black Blood could easily grab and punch anyone near him.

"That's for the kids you manipulated and kidnapped years ago." Zone remembered. This villain vanished in the crimes scene years ago with an item from the charity auction. "I remember that you stole something from that auction. Hand it over and surrender quietly."

Coughed and writhing pain, "Where's--cough-- the romance these days...wasn't I just doing that recently?" Mr. Good Vibes struggled to stand. "Heroes--cough-- could be indeed brutal sometimes." and he reverted to his fighting position. "I'm not that strong Mr. Blood, but I may have to fix that ingrate personality of yours." and he attacked forward that made Zone dodge back. "Come, I'm a gentleman I'll even give you a gift." he bowed to Zone in a gent's manner of greeting. "Tsk!" And Zone plunged forward again with his fist to punch Vibes in his face.

Minutes later.

Mr. Good Vibes wasn't around along the alley and Black Blood seems to be gone too. Oh wait. Is that him with helping a little girl cross the street? And he bought an ice cream for her too. "Don't stay out this late again little miss." he handed out the ice cream cone to her. "Thank you Mister!" the little girl said. Did he just smiled at the little girl while he waved her goodbye? "I feel that I have to escort her home." he murmured. "But why do I feel I've forgotten something important, oh yes Juno's waiting." and he saw a person slipped that he instinctively ran over and catch him before his head hit the pavement. "Ugh...thanks!" awkwardly said by the middle aged man. "You're welcome, please be more careful." he said as he helped him get up. "...what did I just did?" he whispered to himself.

The android's arm seemed to stuck in that position for now though. It was like a broken record, he kept trying to move one way but the gears inside wouldn't allow him to move the full length.

Juno immediately took the opportunity and did a cartwheel straight into view. One could draw a direct line from him to his opponent. He threw out his arms and took aim at the robot's arm.

"You really ought to take care of yourself." Juno said with a smirk. "Bang bang."

And another double paintball shot flew from Juno's index fingers and directly into the pocket hole of the robot's broken arm. The mere impact of the shots created loud bangs of noise against the mechanical insides of the android. The light instantly disappearing in the android's eyes, his arms and body drooped slowly until finally the android became pile on the ground surrounded by the flames and fires that he created from his bad aim.

Juno looked around quickly at the scene of the crime, things looked terrible even with the help of the rain from the fire hydrant. Juno took aim at another fire hydrant on the other side of the street and shot four paintballs at it to break it open. It burst ope and rained on the other side of the street dimming down the flames to small fires here and there that would eventually extinguish.

He walked over to the robot and kicked it so his face was up. He tilted his head thoughtfully at it and bent down to inspect the handiwork. Which syndicate in Ronth had access to such high quality and high tech weaponry...? Making a note of the emblem right behind the android's ear, a well hidden place. But then he remembered that there was still the matter of Vibes to deal with. He hoped that BB had been as successful as he at stopping his opponent.

Quickly shooting up from the ground, Juno ran in the direction of where his friend had gone.

From a distance Juno could see BB. He smiled and continued to jog up the few blocks difference that separated them. But wait a second... Was it really BB? Even from that distance, he was sure it was. But... This person was helping up a man that'd almost fell to the ground.

Confused, Juno's quick jog became a slow jog until he was close enough to be sure that it was BB indeed. And sure enough... It was BB, in those bangin' new clothes he'd bought for him. A skeptical smirk slid onto his face. He guessed that BB was not as lucky with his villain as he had been. He wasn't quite sure what had happened exactly yet though.

"Hey B. So. Where's a... Vibes? What happened?" Was Juno's greeting to his friend, and a light punch in the arm.

"Hey B. So. Where's a... Vibes? What happened?"

"That's not a nice greeting you know." he said in reflex to Juno's light punch. "Oh hey you're here! I'm glad you're safe. I was worried for nothing." Zone greeted him with a gratified smile that his friend was safe, he held his hand on his chest too. "Whew..."

"But forgive me I messed up the clothes you gave me, look you got wet too. Were you hurt somewhere?" he looked around examining Juno's face, back, body, arm... "What am I doing?" and he stopped realizing he was a bit freaky.

He saw a taxi cab stopped near them but the door was opening in front of a puddle and a beautiful lady was coming out. Zone instinctively went there, removed his jacket and laid it on the floor, on the puddle. He held his hand out to assist the lady. "Be careful Miss, there's a muddy puddle there, but don't worry I've taken care of it for you." and the lady took his hand and stepped on his jacket. "Oh my" she said. "Please you really don't have to worry." he said to the girl who was feeling guilty that she stepped on his jacket just to avoid a puddle. She said her thanks and went inside the building.

"Oh yeah Vibes." Zone picked up the jacket and shook it trice to remove the liquid and then he wore it. "hmm, what happened to Vibes..." he scratched his chin.

"That's not a nice greeting you know."

Woah what.

"Oh hey you're here! I'm glad you're safe. I was worried for nothing."

Whaaat.

"Whew..."

HUH.

Juno was utterly confused by this interaction. And that only confirmed his prior inclination: Vibes did something. He wasn't sure if this was such a good or bad thing yet. It was definitely weirding Juno out, but at the same time... He was biting his lip as to not burst into laughter. If any of the students at SA saw him like this, his reputation would be ruined completely.

Juno was not sure what to say just yet.

"But forgive me I messed up the clothes you gave me, look you got wet too. Were you hurt somewhere?"
"What am I doing?"

Alien BB invasion. What was Juno going to do? Was there a cure for an interaction with Vibes? He was definitely hoping that the effects weren't long, he wanted his grumpy old friend back. But he would indulge the gentleman BB for now.

"It's ... Cool...." Juno was just saying in response to the jacket while BB decided to throw the brand new leather jacket on the ground over a dirty city puddle for a pretty lady to get out of a taxi. He was stunned by this generous act from his friend. He had always known BB not to be interested in romance, yet here he was being rather romantic. Granted it was a bit of a stretch to throw a friend's gift on the ground for a stranger when she could have simply tip-toed around the puddle.

"Uuuuh...." Juno wasn't sure how to react. Surprise written all over his face. He felt slightly conflicted, coming from a family where all he would get for a long period of time was hand-me-downs that didn't fit and new things were generally scarce so everything Juno owned was always very well taken care of. Even now, though he and his family were doing far better off and could afford more luxuries; himself especially thanks to modeling. Juno always took good care of everything he owned, especially his clothes and appreciated everything that came into his possession.

He knew that these actions were not BB's usual self. But a part of him couldn't help but feel a little wounded by his actions. The jacket was a gift, and he was treating it like any old raggedy thing.

Juno shook himself out of this dumbfounded stupor to respond.
"Oh. Uh. I guess he got a way, right?" Juno tried to put on a smile, though it was weak from his usual bright one. "Nothing we can do about it now..."

Which was probably true. Vibes was long gone now. And the police could deal with the mess the android made, the emblem still imprinted in Juno's mind. He wouldn't forget that.
"Well... Shall we continue our night out as non-heroes?" Juno cheered, putting his hands in his pockets as he began to walk down the street. Feeling he needed a bit of distance from this 'new and improved nice' BB.

"Oh. Uh. I guess he got a way, right?"

Zone glanced back to his friend. "Hmmm..." he noticed that look, he knew that look and realized he just ruined the gift he just recently got, in front of the one who gave it himself. "Oh my god, I'm sorry!" he stretched out his hands to Juno as if his friend would brake. "I'm really sorry! But look! Look it's not damaged, just a little dirty, you've chosen a really nice quality original leather. I promise I'll take it to the cleaners first thing in the morn--" then he suddenly stopped and blinked. "...what? cleaners?" his sudden thought, that was quickly broken down.

"Nothing we can do about it now..."

"What happened to Juno? He's not usually like this." he thought and decided to cheer him up with tonight's activities.

"Well... Shall we continue our night out as non-heroes?"

"Yes, of course! The night is young!" he smiled to Juno, still oblivious to his own acts and Mr. Good Vibes control. "Hey...that puddle wasn't smelly." he said to his lanky friend as he noticed he was distancing a bit.

"...lanky?"

Juno tried to keep his smile on his face as Zone apologized, but it mutated into this awkward smile of confusion. It was still so unusual to hear this tone and manner from him.
"Uh... It's okay." He managed to say.

"Yes, of course! The night is young!"
"Hey...that puddle wasn't smelly."

Juno laughed weakly at this poor joke of his friend's and continued to trudge along down the street. In a few blocks, they managed to come to a busier part of the city's night life.

"I think the place is pretty close now." He said awkwardly to this 'new and improved' BB. What was he going to do? Maybe if he knocked him upside the head the old BB would return. Curse you Vibes! Curse you! Juno was mentally shaking his fist at the villain. "Ready to find yourself a lady friend?" Juno nudged his friend teasingly with a cheeky smirk, hoping that maybe his normal behavior would bring back his usual BB from the depths of this strange bizarro twisted mind version of him.
