Thanks to working out with Tomoko, Chuppi was fitting into her clothes somewhat better. Her track uniform wasn't nearly as tight on her frame as it had been before and it felt good to be in it again despite the sound of seams straining against themselves. The wraps still fit on her wrists and ankles just fine, so without any further ado the Chupacabra brought herself down to the track field . It was still in a sad state, having been neglected by the team thanks to the cowardice of its Captain, and Chuppi bit her lip as she walked into the high grasses.

She was going to get going, going to get things back on track (minus the pun). Chuppi couldn't stand to make others feel that she couldn't be counted on and she swore that things would get better. Keeping all that in mind she just made a random run and jump towards the high bar, ignoring the fact there was a bad patch of gravel right in front of it.

Without warning she slipped and fell, her whole body sliding forward and into the post. It was a hard hit, and she laid there stunned.

Aaah~ A walk! Mot had't had a good old fashioned walk around the grounds in a good while. His eyes felt better, his injuries were minimal, and overall he was in a fairly good mood!

His attention was caught soon on a slightly rotund student running through some tall grass. It piqued the Grim Reaper's curiosity, and he stopped to watch. He wasn't really sure what she was up to. Just taking a jog? Chasing something? Or maybe---

Mot winced as the ghoul took a rough tumble, dashing into the field overrun with weeds. He slowed down once he reached the ghoul panting slightly and kneeling down. "Hey there, little lady. You okay?"

Somehow during the period of time she was stunned, she'd managed to roll onto her side. Laying on her stomach was making it hard to breathe thanks in part to her gut and her heavy quills, so Chuppi was huffing hard to get the air back into her lungs by the time someone arrived. She sounded horrible, like someone had kicked her, but it was mostly because she was so out of shape that her body wasn't handling the sudden movements so well.

"Ah...yo...ahh....un momento por favor, yo nessicito . . . . " Chuppi's words came in short gasps, but at least she didn't sound like she was going to be coughing in the meantime. "Un...momento....mas". Maybe it would help if she didn't speak nothing but Spanish at the moment but seeing as she was in a state of pain and mild shock there wasn't much else her brain could register. English was just too hard and she wasn't feeling adding thoughts to her pain.

Eventually she looked up at the stranger, her bright red eyes blinking back tears from the impact. Her mouth was slightly open, fangs out and showing, but she didn't seem anything more than an injured little kid. "Ah...I...it hurts."

The reaper raised a brow in concern. She seemed out of breath. How long had she been running. The fact she didn't seem to speak English had him worried. If she really knew none, he would be at a loss as far as communication. However, she seemed to be gaining back her senses, an managed words he understood.

"Shoot, you did take quite the tumble. Do you need help?" Mot asked with a frown. He was in no rush to move her; laying down seemed like a good idea if she was injured.
If she said no? Hah. He'd still stick around. Mot did so love to play hero.

"Help? I....yo no se. Yo...estoy....I...I am. I'm okay, I think." Very winded and not likely to get up. She was a lot heavier than she looked so the impact had been a lot harder than it should have been. As she breathed her quills were moving up and down with her body, almost in a waving rhythm, and she tried to shift herself over to a resting on her hip position. It somewhat worked, she wasn't laying entirely on her side anymore, but that was all she could do. "I didn't think it would hurt to much to fall. It...knocked the air out of me."

An attempt at a smile was all she could muster as well, and Chuppi swayed a bit on her arms. She wasn't horribly injured by any means of the imagination, but it'd been a while since she'd felt pain to this level. Even just playing around with Tomoko had never knocked the air from her lungs before. "I'm...really sorry if I've caused you trouble." What if this person had been trying to get something done? The Chupacabra wasn't so sure that it was nice of her to take him off his task, but honestly she hadn't expected anyone to be around anyway. Having someone here, asking if she was okay, was refreshing. Also, it made her cry. "Uw....uwdh."

She hiccuped as a hot tear dropped out of her right eye and splatted to the ground, quickly drying up in the dry dirt.

She said she was okay, and he was inclined to believer her. He wasn't the kind of guy to accept it and leave though. He'd at least stick around until she was back on her feet. But then she apologized. Mot furrowed his brow. Why was she apologizing for his time? He came to her of his own accord.

And then.. she started crying.

The black haired reaper visibly panicked. Why was she crying? How could he make it better? "Ah! I'm sorry, are you sure you're okay? Why are you crying?" He asked with concern, a hand reached down to hold her shoulder. "I really don't mind, it isn't any trouble!"

Telling Chuppi that it was okay to cry (by proxy - > no trouble = OKAY) was like telling a rain cloud that is was perfectly acceptable to drop a flood. She somehow managed to push herself upright enough to flop onto this stranger, and heavy tears slid down her cheeks without any intent of stopping. Her wails included themselves in that number and it was very possible that this stranger might have felt a ringing in his ears. The monster was forgetting to control her pitch and therefore the echo of her kind was in her voice, a chance to stun on the horizon, and she sobbed into the reaper's lap.

Her quills were shaking along with the rest of her body, but at least she wasn't just...laying there silently anymore. It really had hurt and having the air knocked out of their lungs would have scared anyone. She'd calm down eventually but, in her haste, she'd forgotten to bring her Thermos with her. She was going to need to calm herself without food, so it was going to be a challenge.

"It hurts! It hurts! My hip...."
PostPosted: Sun Nov 06, 2011 10:23 pm

And then the floodgates opened wide, spewing forth great tears and a wail that could shame a banshee!

Mot winced. He didn't completely mind the ghoul sobbing into his lap, considering how upset she was, though the wails were difficult to deal with. In fact he was glad she had buried her face, so she wouldn't see his face contort in pain. Owwwwwie! His ears may just ring for days.

Eventually, the ghoul seemed to express her woes. Her hip? Was it bruised, or cut? The reaper rubbed her back cautiously, wary of the quills she seemed to have along her arms. "Okay, it's okay. I'll get you to the... nurse if you need me to." Nurse Cricket frightened him, but she was good at what she did. His own burns had healed up thanks to her.
Though, if it was her hip, could she even walk? Mot was not a strong boil. Not at all. He struggled with small ghouls like Hel and Lizzy, so how would he carry this rotund one? Perhaps if he could just assist in helping her walk.

No, a gentlemen carried a lady proper like. He'd find a way.

"I'll help any way I can. Just let me know what I can do. I'd be happy to help."

This reaper didn't know it, but just letting Chuppi cry on his lap in the manner that he was happened to be doing was the perfect cure for what was ailing her. Her crying spasms were growing smaller and she all around seemed to be calming. The pain in her side was fading away as her mind moved off from it, the childishness of her age showing through, and after a few more minutes she sniffed and sat herself up. Apparently she was done crying, her face tear-streaked enough to make it look like she'd been beaten, and the Chupacabra rubbed at her nose and her eyes with the back of a dirty hand. A streak of mud covered the tip of her nose and over her cheek.

"Muchas gracias." Her voice was soft and timid, probably how she natural spoke, and Chuppi looked at the reaper boil with the best strength she had to muster up a smile. The whole embarrassment of the situation was slowly settling in on her, forcing her face to blush red-green, and her small hands were pulled up as she pressed her fingers together. "I....I didn't mean to cry all over you, it's just been a long time since I cried." Also, when did she become a monster that kept giving excuses for her actions? It was shameful. "May...may I have your name? I would like to repay you for your kindness."

Was she trying to ignore that he'd offered to take her to the nurse? Maybe.

Mot smiled back at the ghoul. All done crying, and he was just glad he could help. Her dirty face was noted, and the reaper checked his vest pockets for some kind of cloth to clean her up with. "I don't mind. I'm just happy you feel better." Mot replied. No ghoul should have to cry all by herself, after all! A shoulder (or in this case lap) should always be offered to a ghoul in need.

Mot managed to find a handkerchief. He rarely used them, but they sure came in handy. He handed it to the ghoul, whether she chose to use it on the dirt or nose was up to her. The cloth would live. That's what laundry day was for.

"I'm Mot O'Boyle. It's nice to meet you. What's your name?"

"Mucho gusto. It's nice to meet you." The Chupacabra bowed her head down before looking back up, her eyes matching right into Mot's own. "My name is Temes, but most call me Chuppi. You're welcome to call me that." Who was the first person to call her Chuppi? She didn't think the name came from her family, they called her llorona (crybaby), but none the less everyone seemed to know her only as Chuppi.

She took the handkerchief with a word of thanks and used it to dot her eyes, unaware of the mud that was on her face. Her little shoulders were still somewhat shaking but her tears had long stopped, and a final sniffle escaped her nose as she shook her head. Now was the time for conversation.

"Not to...sound rude, but what brought you out here? The old track field has been abandoned since their captain went missing."
PostPosted: Mon Nov 07, 2011 5:44 pm

Temes then? Oh he had a choice. Well, both names were nice, really. "Well, alright. Chuppi it is." It was a very cute name.

"Ah, I was taking a walk. I've been rather bedridden the last week, so I was taking advantage of my free time." Mot answered with a smile. "Good thing too. I'd hate to think what would have happened if you'd been left alone. Ah, by the way. Were you running from soemthing?" Mot had no idea the ghoul had been training. "Wait.. this is a track field? Looks like a jungle.."

"May I call you Mot then, or do you have a name you prefer as well?" It never hurt to ask, some people didn't like nicknames. Chuppi usually called everyone by their full name anyway, but meh. Asking.

Bedridden? He...he must have been one of the students then on the field trip. Chuppi knew only bits and pieces of how horrible the trip had been, how wounded many of the students were. She'd helped out in a tent briefly before she couldn't stop crying and had to dismiss herself to prevent making a scene. "I'm glad to see you're up and moving then."

At the mention of the track field looking like nothing it should, her face turned red-green again with what clearly was shame, not embarrassment. It had been easy enough to talk about herself, but to hear someone else mention how horrible the place looked she felt bad about it. It stung and she didn't really enjoy that sensation. "I was...trying to get back into shape. I've ignored being in this club, that's why everything looks so bad. I wanted to see if I could make that jump like I normally do but the ground is so bad that I fell." Chuppi pointed to the ground, to the bad patch of dirt she was sitting on. This jump should have been easy but if she'd taken care of the field, but it wasn't.

Her neglect had lead to her injury. "And yes, this is the track field. It...didn't use to look this way."

"Mot is fine." Mot waved a hand dismissively. There was only one person who called him anything else, but that name was reserved for him alone.

"I'm glad too. I don't like being cooped up indoors." There was only so many things he could do inside.

Mot looked the ghoul over, then back toward the field. He didn't mean to make her feel badly. "Well.. you have your work cut out for you if you want to get this field back into it's former glory." Mot pondered. "Well, was it maintained by a club? If so, why not try and bring the club back to life?"

"I don't think anyone would want to come back to the club. I was gone for so long, many of them are probably content to get on with their lives or do something else. I've been a failure in everything I've tried." It didn't matter that Chuppi was only thirteen and many of these students were much older than her and therefore had different priorities. They also were more adapt at dealing with situations and likely didn't wanna freak out over the slightest thing.

Also, they probably didn't get homesick like she did either, and had people they could count on. Chuppi was too nervous to ask for help. "I don't even know where to start even if I did want to try. There's too much for me to do alone and. . . . " Her self-esteem wasn't high enough for her to say she had friends, even though she knew she did, but asking things from her friends wasn't what someone who was gone so often should do. It made her seem like a mooch.
