Another day, another adventure off in the woods and away from the excitement and rush of academy life. He was slowly starting to get to it all but it didn't meant that it was what he found to be to terribly comfortable. He was happier when he was out and about, away from school, away from the crowds, and where he could find some interesting plants.

And find them he did. Today he found himself standing in front of a rather large tree, one whose branches were reaching up toward the autumn sun, and filling the branches were pears, "Oh wow! Look at them all." He said, his brightly colored eyes widening as he starred up at them. He'd come in search of more flowers, as well as other useful plants, to bring home with him but these pears looked to good to resist. He looked around a moment before walking over to the base of the tree and patted a hand against it, "If you don't mind." He said before he set his set down the pack he'd been carrying full of gardening supplies, took off his shoes, then set to climbing up the treed.

"I don't mean to intrude and I will be down in just a moment, I want to take a few of the pears if you don't mind." He told the tree as he climbed, making sure to take each step carefully so as not to risk breaking any branches. Last thing he wanted to do was upset the tree when he was wanting to have some of the fruit that it had been working so hard to create, "I will be sure to plant the seeds from the fruit that I take." He said as he started to pick the ripe fruit, letting it drop so that it would land in the tall grass so as not to bruise it. He'd need to be sure to bring some of these seeds home with him to Clarus Arbor, sure that a nice pear tree would go nicely in his garden there.

It was a beautiful day out and Kalypso wanted to take advantage of it. Earlier she had packed a bag with some lunch to eat for later, a book to read and her Violin. She wanted to explore the woods a little and play her violin. Now she sitting way up in a pear tree about to play her violin. Being up in the tree with nature was so comfortating for her. She felt at ease.

It was when she was about to start playing when she heard a noice then a male's voice. She became very still and waited and listen. Another student from her school was climbing the tree. All Kalypso could see of him was his green curly hair. She listened as he talked and coax the tree. He was so gentle with it.

She watched as he gently took a pear from the tree and let it fall gently to the ground. He was talking to the tree and Kalypso thought that was cute. Must people would have thought that he was probably crazy but Kalypso could see by how he treated the tree that he had a fondness for trees and plants. She was afraid to say anything and betray the fact that he was not alone. She didn't want to startle him and have him fall or anything. She decided to wait and see what he does next.

The green haired majin moved around from branch to branch gathering fruit but decided to take only so much, not wanting to seem as though he were rude for taking more then his fair share. How many people knew about the tree he wasn't sure but since there might be a few he wanted to leave some behind for others that might pass this way.

Making his was down just as carefully as he gone up he jumped off the last couple branches to land next to his pack, before he set to work gathering what fruit he dropped down for himself. Once it was all gathered, using his shirt as a makeshift basket at the moment, he turned to pat his free hand against the base of the tree, "Thank you." He said, giving a smile before he settled down, leaning against the trunk of the tree, and set about enjoying one of the pears he'd gotten. They really were good, perfectly ripened, sweet, and completely worth the climb he thought to himself in a happy manner, smiling as he ate.

Just as promised though once he was done eating one of them he set to digging into his pack, placing the rest of the pears inside, and got out his small gardening shovel. He needed to plant the seeds he thought to himself. If he were lucky, and they grew, this area could have a nice bounty of fruit in a few years, "Alright, let's plant some seeds!" He said mostly to himself though in quite the enthusiastic manner. Thinking himself alone he didn't even think twice about taking to the plants or himself. As he wandered forward, eyes on the ground as he looked for the perfect place for the seeds to be planted, he was unaware he was bringing himself closer and closer to the girl he was still unaware of... though a part of him was becoming aware of her magic which had him the rest of him catching up, though a bit slowly.

Kalypso watched as he went from different branches and gathered all the pears he wanted. She was surprised that he didn't notice that she was in the tree with him. She was only a couple of branches above him. When he was done and climbed down the tree Kalypso could let herself be known. She started to make her way down the tree being so careful at not to make a lot of noise and startle the young withling. She stopped at the branch over his head and waited.

She carefully lowed her violin to the ground next to the boy and watch as he happily ate one of the pears. The look on his face told Kaypso that he was enjoying the pear and that it was good. Kalypso smiled it was so nice to find someone who appreciate nature and all her wonderful creations. Kalypso grew up on a farm and a big green house in the back. She found when she was little going out and being with the plants and flowers was very soothing

Kalypso slowly went up the branch she was on following the boy as he started to take out a shovel. When she was directly above him she hanged herself upside down from the tree right in his face. "Watcha doing?"

Uaithne let out a cry of surprise when there was someone suddenly hanging there in front of him, making him stumble back a step before he starred at her in a somewhat confused manner. Who... Who... what...? He starred for a moment, swallowed hard, then gave a smile, "Ahh... what?" What had she asked, what he was doing, right? He looked at the shovel in his hand as though trying to recall what it was that he'd been up to before she'd startled him and it came back to him in a rush, "Oh, pears. I was about to plant the seeds from them."

Lifting a hand up he showed the seeds to the upside down girl, holding them in a manner that said that he seemed to think of them as a great treasure. They were the next generation of the fruit trees after all. Giving the girl a bit of a smile he moved back a step so that he could take a deep breath, steadying his heart that had started to racing after her suddenly. With all that had happened with the ball he'd recently attended he was still just a touch jumpy... Not that he felt he could be blamed for that, not when he worried that whole fiasco was going to land the majin with a terrible reputation. Even if the man was a reaper the most important part of the story would likely end up being the part about eating hearts, not who or what he was. Or at least that was what he worried over, "I... well since I took the fruit from the treat I figured that it's only right that I plant the seeds as a thanks." He added, wanting for her to know exactly why it was that he was planting the seeds.

Putting a touch of space between himself and the girl, feeling a little guilty due to the fact that he felt his stomach rumble just a bit... and he knew it wasn't for food, it was for the magic that was clinging to this girl, "What brings you this far out?" He asked, deciding that he should keep up the conversation so as not to allow himself to be tempted.

Kalypso swinged herself right side up and landed on her feet in font of the boy. "Oh I'm so sorry sir." She didn't mean to scare the boy. Kalypso looked around the area that they were at. She was very pleased that he took the time to actually stay and plant the seeds from the pear tree. She could tell that he really did love trees and nature by the way he had held the pear seeds. "The tree thanks you for this." She didn't really feel any bad vibes from the boy. She regretted scaring the boy the way she did when she noticed how the boy had putted space and distance between them.

"Umm wait a minute." She ran past the boy and went behind the pear tree where she had hidden her bag. She took what she wanted out of it and presented it to the boy. "A peace offering and to apologize for scaring you the way I did." In her hands where two peaches. "They are very juicey. I planted them myself." She gave her offerings to him putting them in his hands. "The names Kalypso and I was here up in the that tree practicing my violin. I sometimes come out here and do this, its so peaceful out here."

Kalypso remembered seeing the boy at the ball. She hoped he didn't remember seeing her there. Hoped he didn't see when she embrassed herself and fainted after the whole Witch-eater attack.

Kalypso also hoped that her peace offering and apology would make the boy feel better. She wondered if his heart is beating fast. Without even thinking about it she stepped closer to the boy and putted her hands over his chest.

The trees thanked him? This was the second time that someone had said as much to him and he couldn't help but to smile, "I am glad." He murmured, having always seen the plants he grew as his friends he was glad to hear that he was doing well by them. Closing his hand around the seeds he carried in a protective manner he turned to follow after the girl with his eyes, curious as to where she was going when she asked him to wait. He tilted his head to one side as she went around the tree that it seemed they had both been climbing, though he'd missed her, likely because he was he so caught up in climbing without injuring the tree.

When she returned to him he couldn't help but to stare in awe and delight at what she had. Peaches. He'd always liked that fruit, finding the flavor to his liking had always been amused at how fuzzy they felt, "Wow, thank you." He murmured, holding the piece of fruit in a careful manner, looking it over closely, "You grew them? That is amazing. I haven't tried growing a tree of this sort before. I might have to try that with the seed within this one." It would be a fun new challenge to try to grow a tree that he'd never tried growing before. Having a peach tree back home would be nice he thought to himself before he forced his one track mind off of the plants and back to the girl before him. She looked... vaguely familiar. Had he seen her before? In class maybe? He tried to place her face but for the moment seemed to be failing but given how kind she was being, even giving him a wonderful present, he couldn't help but to want to figure out where they might have crossed paths.

"I'm Uaithne Cahal." He said, shifting the peach to sit in the hand that held the seed so he could hold the other one out, reminding himself that politeness dictated that he needed to introduce himself. He'd forgotten to do so with the pretty eyed witch he met at the ball and to this day he still had no idea what her name was... he didn't want to make that mistake again.

Kalypso was pleased to see that Uaithne liked the peace offering that she had just given him. "I grew it on my families farm in Clarus Arbor. There is all kinds of fruits and vegatables and even flowers growing there. You name it we have it." She swept her eyes around the area once again, taking in her surroundings. "Why don't we get on with planting these seeds." She rolled up her sleeves and got on her knees on the ground and started to dig in the dirt.

As she started to use her hands to dig in the dirt she hummed. Something she always does when she tending to the earth. She looked up at Uaithne. "When I was up in the tree I heard you talking to the tree." She waited to see if he would deny it. "Don't worry I don't think your crazy or anything, I talk to plants too. You'll probably think I'm crazy for saying this but they listen to you when you do that. They like to be talked to."

She looked back down at what she was doing. "There I think that is a deep enough hole to put the seeds in." She got up off the floor and dusted her hands on her uniform. "You can plant the seeds now if you like."

Uaithne's brightly colored eyes went a bit wide as she told him where she'd grown the fruit, looking quite surprised and pleased, "Wow, you're from Clarus Arbor as well?" He asked, giving a smile. He rather liked the place, it was so much calmer then the academy and the city that surrounded it. It was quiet and peaceful back home, a place that he looked forward to even if the one that raised him was no longer present, "My home is on the edge of the town, I have a big garden there, mostly roses since they are my favorite but I grow quite a few other things as well." Having someone to talk to that understood and liked plants, someone that even raised them herself, seemed to make the green haired majin a lot more talkative then he normally was. It was a shame he'd not met her before now... but before coming to the academy he rarely left home unless it was at his Gram's side.

As she said that they should get on with planting the seeds he gave a nod of his head, following along after her, and set to digging as well a short distance from her. They didn't want the trees to be to crowded after all, "Ahh..." He flushed a bit when she said that she'd heard him talking to the tree, something that he really never he even thought about as being odd, though others might see it as such. Much to his relief though it would appear that this girl wasn't one of them. He gave a smile and a nod, "I think that it makes them grow better, when you talk with them." He murmured, looking down at the seeds that he was holding in his hand in a fond manner. He closed his hand around them once more, closing his eyes for a moment, seeming to be wishing them well, before he put some each each of the holes that were dug.

Once they were planted he buried them again, added a bit of food and water, then gave a smile, "Good luck, I will come to check on you from time to time." He told the seeds before he pushed up to his feet, "Thank you for the help." He said, giving the girl a smile.

Kalypso worked beside Uaithne and helped him to plant the seeds. She observed how he had brought everything that he needed to plant the seeds with him. "I go back home to Clarus Arbor on the weekend to tend to the farm and make sure everything is alright there." She smiled at him when he mentioned that Roses were his favorites. It got her thinking about the magic trick her father used to do to her and her mom. He would tell them that there was something beind their ears and would instead of making a coin magically appear he would make a flower.

Hopefully she remembered how to do the trick. She looked at Uaithne. "You have something behind your ears." She reached behind and his ears and pulled forth a white rose and gave it to him. "Ta-da" She was quite pleased with herself that she remembered the trick.

She quickly looked down and blushed. "Oh now the seeds are planted. I believe that you are right about talking to them to help them grow. I sometimes do that too. I sometimes also sing or play my violin for them."

"I need to try to go back home myself once I get the chance." He said in a thoughtful manner, sometime soon maybe though heading back was a little tough given that the woman who raised him was no longer there. He would work on his studies a while longer before he thought to heading back to Clarus Arbor for a visit, it would give him more time to ready himself that way.

Uaithne lifted his gaze when she said that there was something behind his ear, looking a little confused, wondering if he'd gotten some leaves in his hair during the tree climb perhaps, "Huh?" He murmured, then gave a gasping sound of surprise as the girl produced a rose from behind his ear. Lifting a hand up slowly he took the white flower from her, starring at it, his brightly colored eyes going wide. That had been the absolutely last thing that he'd expected for certain and like a child seeing a trick for the first time he was fascinated, "Wow... that was amazing." Normally he wasn't a fan of cut flowers but he still seemed to like this one, mostly due to the way in which it was delivered and who had delivered it, "Thank you."

Uaithne marveled over the flower before he turned his attention back to the mounds of dirt where the seeds were resting, giving them a smile, "Do they like the music?" He asked, sounding curious over the idea. He'd never tried singing to his plants before, never having tried that before but was willing to do so if it meant making his floral friends happy.

Kalypso smiled at Uaithne. "Ooh they love music. Well they love any kinds of attention they can get. Whether your talking to them, singing to them, reading to them or playing music for them they love the attention and knowing that someone loves them that much just makes them to show their love back. Kalypso took out her violin and went to sit next to where they planted the seeds.

She closed her eyes and stated to play her violin. As she played black music notes started to appear they came out of her violin and started to twist around where the seeds where buried. They landed on the ground and for a second looked like they were dancing, then they fell to the ground and disappear.

Kalypso stopped playing and looked over at Uaithne. "See they like the music." She pointed at the ground where the seeds were buried to reveal that the peaches they had buried had started to spourt a little.

"All they need is a little love and affection."

Uaithne's eyes went wide with fascination as the girl started to play her violin and was able to produce music notes in the air. He watched the way that they seemed to bounce through the air, down to the mounds of dirt, and set about dancing on the ground, "Oh... wow..." He murmured, unable to keep himself from reaching out to poke at one of the notes to see if they had a solid form or if they were more wispy like smoke, "You have such amazing skills with your instrument." A mixture of music and magic to produce dancing notes, not to mention that it would seem as though she was able to encourage the seeds out of the slumber and into sprouting!

A gasp of surprise escaped from him as he leaned over, inspecting the sprouts, "Wow!" He gasped out again, unable to be anything but completely impressed with the witchling girl, that she was able to call up the plants in such a manner, to urge them forward with their growth, it was something that made him respect her instantly, "I will be sure to give all of my plants even more attention and affection for sure." He agreed. It was something he already did but to be able to help them to grow at a faster speed, it was something that he wanted to learn for certain. Lifting his gaze up to look at Kalypso he lifted himself up to his feet, brushing himself off, "How did you learn that your music can help them grow?" He asked in a curious manner, wondering if it was her special brand of magic. If so it was something that he felt he should look into... well the part about helping plants to grow at least, he didn't know if he had any musical aptitude since it wasn't something he'd pursued to this point. As such he start with the basics of the power that she had used.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 24, 2012 7:35 pm

Kalypso smiled up at Uaithne then back down at the plant that had just spourted. 'Yes just remember to give them at least a minute of yout time and all should be wells. Just knowing that you are paying attention and giving them love makes them happy." She took the watering can and give the plant some extra water.

She looked down at her violin and sighed. "Yes that's part of my magic. I can perform magic with musical instruments or by singing." She wasn't really happy about her magic and wished it was a little more cooler. She wished it was good enough to pass the Grave of Faries. Ever since she didn't pass the trial she had shut herself away in her room. She had been depressed for almost two weeks until she finally got herself out of her funk and decided to practice and see what other magic she might or might not have.

Kalypso looked back at Uaithne and wondered what his magic ablities may be. She had felt some kind of strong aura coming from him. She could tell from everything that happen today that he really truly loved plants. When she did the rose trick she was expecting the same reaction she usually get from people when she did it for them. The look of disgust on their faces. The look of annoyance on their faces as they tell her to get away from them. But she didn't get none of that from the young witchling

Instead of rejection she saw the look for admiration on his face. Yes this was a person who really loved plants.

The green haired Majin gave a nod of his head, feeling the desire to spend a bit of extra time with the mass of plants that he'd bought back to his room. He talked to them when he was in his room, watered and fed them, but talking to this nice witchling girl made him want to try that much harder when it came to their care, "I will make sure to give all my plants a bit more care." He assured his new friend.

Giving a tilt of his head Uaithne looked a little confused when the girl seemed to wilt a little, looking a bit like a flower that needed more sun. Was she not happy with her brand of magic perhaps? He wasn't quite sure but that was how it seemed, "I think your magic is quite amazing, the way that you use your music to encourage the flowers. I wish I could that." He really did need to study harder, didn't he? He was going to make sure to spend that much more time in the library studying from here out, wanting to make sure that he was ready for the day that he had to go and test himself in the Grave of Fairies. His attention turned to the flower that he had in his hands before he lifted it up to inhale the soft, sweet scent that it gave off. It really was a nice breed of rose, wasn't it? One that he would love to grow in his gardens back home.

"I will take good care for the gift that you gave me." The Majin said, hugging the flower to his chest carefully, making sure not to get pricked by the thorns on the flower's stem.
