The saddest thing of all, of everything, was that Chuppi's track uniform didn't really fit anymore. Neither did her gym outfit for that matter, but she still squeezed herself into the black and orange combo as she entered the gym. She had remembered the professor's request, the late Red, about always wearing the uniform - Chuppi could and would respect that.
Still, shoving herself into too-small clothing just ran the point home - she needed to lose weight. Badly. Thankfully Tomo-chan had offered to be with her today and they'd work out together! The Chupacabra had made sure to arrive early and was stretching, waiting for her friend to arrive.

Tomoko had pulled her hair up and wrapped the braid around itself on the back of her head, wearing shoes proper for walking in as well as a purple tanktop and what looked like ballet pants when she made her way into the gym. That day, the ball of stars had stayed at home.
This was a day for working out. Temes would get into shape, and Tomoko would work on being able to defend herself. They'd promised they would do it together. It would be mighty and it would be awesome. Tomoko had actually never battled before, so it was to be an interesting experience for the little kitsune. Never the less, she stepped in the Gym- the domain of the once gym professor - carefully.
She had not known the woman, so this..this was meant to be an..interesting exchange.
"Alright, Temes. Would you like to go first?" she inquired to the ghoul who had made it there before her.

"Um, okay." Sure, why not? Chuppi had never actually been in a physical altercation at all either and so she wasn't sure what to do. It actually felt awkward trying to take a strike at her friend, so it wasn't surprising that she missed horribly with her first attempt.
"Ahhhh." This probably wasn't going to end well.

Tomoko let out a surprised squeal, suddenly wishing she'd really not agreed to this when Chuppi moved. The kitsune flinched away from her first attack and threw her arms up in front of her as a reflex of 'OH JACK, EEK!!'.
She'd definitely made contact with something.

The Chupacabra herself squealed at the sudden movement and impact brought about by her friend, and she staggered backwards as the flailing hands caught her under the chin.
Battling hurt, and she tried to swing again but wasn't doing so well because her eyes were watering.

She made another panicked noise when she looked up to see what she'd done to the other ghoul.
"Omijack, are you alright??" she asked, ears drooping. "Here! You should hit me back to be fair!"

And so Chuppi tried to hit back, but really all she did was give Tomoko a bump on the arm with her fist. She was crying and her face really hurt!
Battling was not for the Chupacabra.

Tomoko frowned and rubbed her arm a bit. Was that all she was going to hit back with.
"Um..I hope you're ready to resume!" Tomoko said, nodding, before she attempted to look mighty and actually do a punch. It wasn't a very mighty punch. She had itty bitty girl arms, really.

There was no turning back, Tomo-chan wanted to help her get into shape and Chuppi wanted to stay and play with Tomoko, so there really wasn't an option. The monster took the hit when it came and delivered one back of her own, in the same spot she'd hit before.

OOMPH!
Tomoko doubled over slightly when she was hit, wrapping her arms around her stomach and pouting. "ow! You can hit pretty hard!"

Chuppi pushed on Tomoko with the tip of her finger as her companion doubled over, and she flinched a bit as her nail drew a drop of blood. She didn't think they were that sharp, or maybe she'd poked harder than she meant to.
"I...you hit hard too?"

Tomoko swatted Chuppi's hand when it scratched her.
"Ow ow ow! You need to be careful with those!" she pined, rubbing the offended spot.

As Tomoko swatted her hand away, the Kitsune managed to scratch the back of Chuppi's hand. It was unintentional, but it had drawn blood. So, instead of attacking back, the monster raised her hand up and licked at the injury.
"I guess we're both bleeding now? Is this how a battle should be?"

Tomoko frowned.
"i-I guess it is." she nodded, though it still hurt. Why did people go on field trips? How was this fun at all?? Ouuuu, she didn't like this.
