 ~Story~ This is the story of how Alex became a Green Lantern after finding a ring that was not meant for him to begin with; or maybe it was meant for him after all it did come to him. The ring was suppose to have been sent to Bruce; even though he had turned the guardians down several times. They sent him a ring just in case; but that is when things went wrong. Instead of going to Bruce, the ring found its way to Alex, who at the time thought it to be a collectible of some kind.... A collectible that would change his life forever. "If you would like to take part in this, please let me know.

 Present Day Alex stood in a dark room. He had powered down his ring so that the glow would not wake the person who was sleeping. It had been a tough day for him and an even tougher day for the little blond haired girl. He watched over his niece, Halay, a little while longer while before taking a seat in the corner. He could not believe all that took place that day. He had lost his brother, sister in-law, and even his nephew. How could he have let all of this happen; he thought to himself while removing his cowl and lightly ran his fingers through his hair. He then looked at his ring, some green lantern he is... even more so he was worse at being Batman as well. "Maybe I should give up....." He said out loud before looking at his ring. "Maybe you just got confused." He said while thinking back... back to when he first received the ring. 5 years ago An clock alarm goes off, Alex slowly begins to wake up. He wasn't a morning person so once he saw the time he idmeditly shut the clock off before rolling over in his bed, to try to get a few more seconds of sleep and if he was lucky those seconds would turn into minutes befor someone came to wake him. It was normally Alfred or his mother who did so, his father was always in the Batcave at this time. Getting started for the new day, or just returning home from the night before.

 Bruce was in the cave working at his computer. He had just came in from his nightly duties. It was 6 am and he was tired. Bruce removed his cowl while trying to relax in his chair. He was trying to figure out what was going on really, to have had to fight both Killer Croc and Clay Face in one night; something had to be wrong.

 "Rough night?"
A second figure walked up to the computers, next to where the Bat took his break, and stood a few feet away. It was a rhetorical question at best. Tim Drake knew of last night's happenings, and he would have known so even if it weren't on several news channels at once.

"It come with the job." He said simply while still looking at the computer, uploading all the evidences he had received into. "I take it that your night was some what similar." Bruce said before standing up from his seat and turning to face Tim. "Its a good thing that you came by. I have a mission for you."

Tim pulled the mask away from his own eyes and looked directly at Bruce. He also clipped a pocket open on his belt, and took out a usb with information he had compiled on his own computer at home.
"Similar, yeah. Ran in with some old 'friends' too."
Tim would have thought people like Fries and Nigma would have retired by now, but last night countered that way of thinking. With Bruce's last words, Tim's curiosity was peaked.

Bruce looked at Tims USB for a bit before speaking again. "It will not be an easy task." He said with a smile on his face. "You see, your little brother has been skipping some of his classes and even an entire day at times. His mother thinks it might be a girl or something, but I want to make sure he is not doing something more troublesome." Bruce said to him. "I would like for you to follow him just for the day." He said to him before looking at the USB drive again. "So whats on the USB?" He asked

Tim held up the USB for Bruce to take. He chuckled a bit.
"Alex doesn't really seem the 'trouble-type', but... ok. I'll see what I can do."
It was very much like Bruce to assign something such as this... and Tim was almost curious as to why he wasn't following his son around himself. Perhaps it was due to the prior night's activities.

Bruce took the USB from Tim and walked over to the computer and begin to upload the files from it. "You would be surprised when it comes to him." He said to Tim.
"So how is the family doing?" He asked Tim.

Tim crossed his arms, taking another step towards the large screens as they began showing the progress of the upload.
"Fairing well. Steph's reaching for that lead detective position. Max is a hard working 4th grader, and Haley can walk now..."
Tim smiled proudly, glancing to Bruce before he focused back on the screen.

"I am sure she will get it, she is a pretty good Detective." Bruce said with a smile. "Your kids are growing fast. Does Max know about all of this just yet?

Tim paused, still staring at the screen as some additional screens popped into view.
"I'm not sure. He doesn't appear to know... but he's a smart kid."
Tim typed a bit after the files were loaded, to where he would start explaining what he found.
"If he doesn't, it's only a matter of time."

Bruce watched as Tim was typing. "I am sure he knows... Alex played dumb when he found out also." He said with a slight chuckle. He then started to watch the screen more closely

 Selina smiled warmly as she opened the door to her son's room. She raised an eyebrow at the still sleeping form and waltzed over to him, she sat down on the bed and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Alex honey, wake up."

Alex pulls the covers over his head. "I don't want to." He said to her, he had stayed up late the night before and wasn't thinking about school all that much.
