Sailor Lenka was still running as fast as she could, listening to the pitter pat of her feet smacking against the road she was running on. When she found herself on her block she dehenshined, and it was Millie running. She was wearing her favorite outfit—a Halloween outfit from a few years back. It was a Jedi outfit that her mother had done her very best to make her, and it hadn’t turned out that bad. Her robes flew out behind her as she ran, slowing up as she neared her house, rubbing at her eyes, surprised to still find traces of tears lingering there.
She had lost…she wasn’t a good super hero after all. The worst thing now may be the fact that she was scared, looking over her shoulder every few seconds, trying to figure out if that bad guy was following her…a part of her figured he wasn’t after she hadn’t heard him or anyone for that matter since she had started running.
Millicent softly slid her window open and climbed into her room, sniffling softly before she shut the window behind her. The clock on her bedside read One Fifteen AM and she just shook her head. Never before had the child managed to stay up this late, and her tiredness was once more shown by a large yawn as she flopped onto her bed. It was time to sleep now…she could worry about losing tomorrow when the sun was up and she wasn’t sleepy anymore.
Mille wiggled in her bed, trying to get comfortable, though finally just sighed, getting up and getting her stash of lightsabers, placing them in the bed with her. Why would she bother going to sleep unprepared? That’s just silly. With the lightsabers in the bed, the child still couldn’t seem to get comfortable, and went into the hall, dragging both of her pigs into the bed with her. They would be able to protect her from bad guys…They were named for great Jedis!
Twice more the child got out of bed, dragging stuffed animals into the bed with her now, finding herself trembling slightly. He was going to drown her…she couldn’t just treat this as a game anymore…The bad guys were really bad…they would slice her in half like what happened to Qui-Gon…she was sure. She never wanted to be in danger…she just wanted to be a great Jedi hero and save people and stuff.
After lying awake until her alarm clock said it was after two, the child got out of bed with a sigh, holding onto a stuffed pig tightly and shuffling to her mother’s room, opening the door slowly, then running across the floor, climbing into her mom’s bed, burrowing under her arm.
Bellatrix blinked then hugged her daughter close. “Bad dream, Sweetie?”
Milllicent nodded, trembling still, but calming down rapidly. Yeah. It was just a bad dream, and it wouldn’t happen again…next time she’d be ready, and not as tired, and she wouldn’t get pushed over! She would be a super hero, and she’d show that…that bad guy. She’d show him good.
The child let out a happy little sigh, then finally fell asleep, feeling safe for the first time that night.
