She had been observing this male now for a while and she had to say she was impressed by his coloring. He was handsome but she just wasn't looking for another male and his body language didn't look to be screaming, I want females either. However it did show he seemed... lonely? Now how to approach this creature Kaveri wondered.

Now that she had learned to sneak around, that's what she was doing. Her footfalls were as quiet as the grave and her breathing was level, then again it was almost drilled into her now. The only thing that'd give her away was the fact that she was upwind and he'd smell her coming.

"Lonely?" She asked, hoping that she didn't startle him into a fight. Not that Kaveri couldn't handle herself in a deadly situation, she just didn't want to fight someone who didn't need to be fought.

User Image Fang'dari had the distinct impression he was being followed, the hairs on the back of his neck standing on edge in warning. For the most part Fang always followed his instincts, they had kept him alive this long and he was sure they would continue to do so. Even so, he did not make this knowlegde known, it was far better to lure your opponant into a false sence of security than give away your only ace in the hole.

He caught a scent before he heard anything, it was a delicate almost flowery scent that just seemed to scream 'Female' to him. He grunted, a little frustrated that he was being interupted. Fang was often on his own, more so than he was ever in the company of others, he supposed it was because he had a tendancy to snap at those who tried to come close to him.

Lazily he flicked his tail and turned his head as a voice accompanied the scent, it wasn't an unpleasant voice, the tones full of life and melody that was almost pleasing to the ear. They flicked, half awaiting more of the delightful sound. Of course, Fangs face betrayed none of that. He had trained himself to have a stoic exterior, it made him unpredicatable and that often gave him the upper hand in a fight. His eyes flicked over the females form, noting that she didn't seem to be in an attack posture. Although he didn't lower his guard it did mean he wouldn't attack.... not yet at least.

He shrugged his shoulders, "I enjoy being alone." A half truth. Raising an eyebrow he wondered if there was more to this encounter than simply enquiring if he was lonely, and although Fang was cold at times part of him couldn't allow someone to hurt when he could do something about it. That was why he found himself saying, "You?" The word was clipped and short despite the fact that Fang actually cared about the answer.

He seemed to be able to read her moves and she didn't like that. If he were to become and opponent she wasn't to sure how she could come out of this unscathed. Not that she was thinking of attacking him. Though when he responded by saying that he enjoyed being alone she could hear and see the truth there. "Traveling alone isn't that bad, but I do enjoy some company." she admitted to him.

This dark male was beautiful, reminding her of the things she had seen on her journey. "What is it that you're doing out here?" She was somewhat curious about him. Maybe adding some small talk wouldn't hurt.

Fang gave up, with an exhausted sigh he simply answered her. "Searching for something." He had no intention of divulging more details. In truth, Fang wasn't really sure what he was looking for, he had been betrayed by a woman before, and ever since then he had been cautious around them.... fickle species.

Without having full conciousness of his actions he growled, a low rumble that started in his throat before erupting out of his mouth, a feral noise. Memory clouding his judgement he found himself snapping; "Why have you interupted me?" His eyes were sharp with focus as he watched the movements of the midnight blue creature.... he admitted in a distant part of his mind that she was pretty. Good bone structure, pleasing curves, and a lush long tail.... but that just made her more likely to use it all against him. Fang couldn't allow that.

Searching for something eh? That's when he turned on her, that calm demeanor broken by rage. In response her fur bristled and she gave a yowl of displeasure, fangs showing as her tail went up and body went into a defensive stance. Not answering his question right away she watched him, tail flicking in sheer irritation. They were calm until he had snapped at her.

"Interrupting? Is that what I'm doing?!" Kaveri hissed out between clenched teeth, "What is it that I'm supposed to be interrupting exactly, you laying there staring at nothing? I wanted to know why a leopard like yourself was doing alone, is that a crime your highness." She didn't back up but she didn't take ground either. Instead she watched him with angry golden eyes. Just being handsome didn't cause for being such a d**k.

Fang's mind was not in a safe place as he stood, raising to full size with an almost delicate but graceful swish of his hips and tail. His eyes didn't leave the female, and as her words struck his ears he found another growl escaping his lips; "Just because you are female does not mean I would not strike you." It was another half-truth, in reality Fang rarely struck a female unless they attacked him first and he felt he had no other option but to retaliate.

A noise creaked behind him, automatically his ears spung and he half turned, one eye watching his rear as the other kept track of any movements from the corner of his eye..... nothing was there....? "What tricks are you playing?" He said, voice calmer as his higher intellect kicked in again. There was no room for anger when it came to the game of survival, cool and calm reasoning was best.

They weren't exactly on the same level but she didn't look up to him too much. No way was she going to let her guard down, not with some crazy leopard who thought she was 'interrupting' him. "Go ahead." She taunted, "Strike me, see what happens. " Her snarl cutting the air like blades falling upon the weak. "I'll rip you from navel to throat and feed your insides to the carrion birds."

Then he had a stroke of strange behavior. "Tricks, I'm not playing any tricks you crazy old bat. I just wanted to know why you were alone out here, that's all. I'm a curious girl." Her tone descending a bit, though she was still totally in guard mode. She'd be sure to give him a run for his money if he tried anything at all on her. "Besides, I'm standing in front of you, not anywhere else. You'd notice if I moved." She said bluntly.

She was annoyed by the male before her. Best to leave him alone of else he might get some other ideas. Besides she had already provoked him and it wasn't a smart idea. She needed to get away without causing more problems for herself. A groan escaped her maw before she decided to get away. Best to leave she told herself again.
