Would people be interested? Should a limit be put on it?

Interested or not, adding the option as a source of collateral income certainly couldn't hurt. I can't possibly imagine how this would be particularly difficult to manage, and the Cash-for-time paradigm is one that's very easy for players to understand.
What other time-based systems do we have that we could use that paradigm for? The first that comes to mind is 'You've been nerfed! Spend some Cash now to reset your cap...', but they already utilise Gold potions for that (and I'd rather like to eliminate the obvious nerfing system entirely, personally).
We don't have much, do we? If the G'hi system were more obvious ("10 hours until your next boost!" ), we could potentially offer a Cash option to speed it up - would anyone be too opposed to that? Apart from that all I can think of is Daily Chance, and that seems like a rather poor fit... sweatdrop

Too bad we don't have daily quests otherwise I'd suggest that as part of a timer skip. Also Ghi should be visible in some way, regardless of timers, skips and whatnot.
I'm reminded of the slot machine suggestion, which is kinda just a way to make the wheel of fortune have a purpose. I will never bring that up again because it can count as incentive towards Gambling.

As someone who is approaching the half-way point of her final Ghi boost, I am personally against using GC to speed the system up because I want people to suffer for it as long as I have. The rather slow progression rate is also starting to feel like a reward to me, in the way of: 'You've wasted hours of your life on this game, at least you'll have something to show for it'. Of course, I think my view is slightly embittered so I wouldn't be surprised if other people didn't share it. ; )
I don't know about using Cash to speed up the Daily Chance, but looking at the Moga star-seed system as an example I do wonder if it would be possible to have users pay a small amount of money to have their DC collected for them?
Another thing that is timed is the un-locking of rings once you have dazed. However since this is encroaching on boost territory so it might be best to leave it.

My thoughts exactly. There's ring unlocking > Revive, codename Resurection. Server change > not sure it can be done and Jack . Introduce new ones > not sure how/what, likely with new content, could easily devolve into social network style game ARGGHHnoyance, wouldn't be well received. Generally not a good fit :/

DrQuint Too bad we don't have daily quests otherwise I'd suggest that as part of a timer skip. Also Ghi should be visible in some way, regardless of timers, skips and whatnot. I'm reminded of the slot machine suggestion, which is kinda just a way to make the wheel of fortune have a purpose. I will never bring that up again because it can count as incentive towards Gambling. I've proposed a daily PWI-style 'Bounty Hunter' Quest; granted by Kin, daily, to defeat a randomised boss (probably excluding EB) somewhere in the game (under the premise that that's where the G'hi energy is 'pooling'). The quest would require you to have beaten the game to obtain (Victory Badge), and the rewards would scale to a CL 10.0 player regardless of the boss involved therein. Whether that means exorbitant gold, lots of orbs, or increased chances at epic loot, I suppose has yet to be determined. The point was to give players a reason to play daily (rather than just running around for Daily Chance), as well as to inadvertently encourage playing in areas that are not normally conducive to farming.
Anyhow, thinking of things to quicken-for-Cash, that idea actually came back pretty readily. And I imagine there are other ways we could work in 'Daily Quests' in different areas as well, and probably include them as a standard for new areas. In fact, the 'Extra Daily Quest for Cash' implementation seems very similar to my 'Treasure Map' Quest-buying proposal, and there would probably be an argument to be made for implementing 'Daily Tickets' that are Marketplace sellable, and work the same way... sweatdrop
