It was late afternoon almost evening when Isikhulumi slipped silently away from the pride's lands.The large white, gold and black lioness was on a mission to find somewhere quiet to collect her thoughts. Growing up she had always assumed she would stay by her mother's side all her life, but now that she was grown more and more she had wanted to see what was out in the world.
Raja had spent all of his life in the pride that he was raised in, there was a large difference between him and the female that he was about to encounter. He didn't choose to leave the pride that he was part of and he wasn't going to head back until he found what he was looking for. that was a lioness. He wasn't supposed to come back to his home pride that was until he was with a lioness. He was scared for a while before heading out of the pride to find a female. He waited until all of his brothers came back with females before heading out. By that time he was technically an adult but he didn't midn, he was more ready now to head out then he was before. he was wandering and had been for quite some time, enjoying the sights that he was seeing, spending time wandering and getting to know the lands that he probably wouldn't head out and see again in his life.
However he was getting homesick, and he was hoping that he was going to come across some one that caught his attention some time soon because he was getting tired of this wandering. He wanted to head home and he had to get a good Banu first. However something caught his side, a female feel into his sights, he crept through the grasses, she was a white female, large and attractive. He watched her carefully waiting for the perfect moment.
Had she been aware she was being observed, she would have been more dignified but since she thought she was alone, the lady in question flopped onto her side and gave a good roll in the cool grasses chuckling softly before staying sprawled on her back, bright gold eyes looking up at the sky as if searching for answers from the clouds.
Raja waited a few more moments before deciding that he wasn't going to sit back anymore and wait. He stood straight and began to wander her way, his mind was buzzing though. How does one exactly go about this? He had no idea at all but he was pretty sure that he was just going to wing it as he approached her, it was too late to change his mind now.
"Hello, m'lady, I have a question for you." He was straight to the point that is, he wasn't going to cut the corners. very serious indeed.
Isik gave a rather undignified yelp as she scrambled to her feet, dark ears laying back as her claws flexed against the dirt for a moment as she assessed the threat before taking a deep calming breath letting it out slowly. She closed her eyes for a moment to compose herself before looking to the rather handsome male.
"Forgive me, I was unaware there was anyone else about." Her ears perked forward when he said he had a question, "Yes?"
Raja looked at the lioness, very happy to get a response from her, the lioness didn't seem angry which was a good sign. he was glad that he didn't run into some one who was going to attack him for bothering them. she seemed friendly enough. He was very interested. He paused for a moment before speaking to her. "I apologize for scaring you miss." he then paused thinking about his next works before just spilling them out. 'would you like to come back to my pride with me?" He realized how suspicious that might sound. "i mean, I can explain."
She blinked a few time startled, "I beg your pardon?" Tilting her head slightly, she scowled faintly. Figures, handsome and a creep. Well, if that was the case she knew she was quiet capable of taking care of herself.
Raja sighed for a moment and then sat back on his haunches before beginning to speak, he knew that the situation was a little akward but then again he didn't know how to go about it with out being a little awkward. He flicked his tail around a little gathering his thoughts before speaking. "I'm from the Ukuucha'wafalme and we have to go out and bring back a female for a mate. Females are treated very kindly in our pride. I mean." He really was being a little awkward but he wanted to get this out of the way. "You're the first really beautiful female I've come across."
Akward did not even begin to cover it. Isik frowned though not upset just trying to figuring out what in the world the male was talking about. "So..let me see if I have this straight. You are traveling to look for a mate? And you decided on me because I am the first pretty girl you have met?" Well when put like that it did kinda sound weird.
Raja shook his head. "Well, yes and no." He grumbled for a moment and then looked up at the sky. "It's really hard to explain, I live in a pride where the males normally have more than one mate and everyone raises the cubs together and it's really nice. I really mean it." And then he looked at her and made a bit of a face. "I want you to come back and if I need to I'll take you. But it's a little easier to get some one to comply."
She had been nodding faintly, following along with his words till he said he would take her. That earned him an amused peel of laughter. "My dear sir...If you attempted to take me by force one of us would die." She didn't seem offended, more amused that he thought he could so easily take the large female on.
Raja shook his head. "No one of us will not." He then looked at her with a serious face. "Come with me and give some where else a shot. We have nice lands. and it will be an adventure. If you don't like it I'll let you leave."
"No I suppose not," Isik chuckled again as she tilted her head studying him silently for a long moment. He was handsome enough, very polite for sure, and it did sound like a heck of an adventure..but..
"What is in it for me? Not to be crude, but why should I leave my home, come with you to raise your cubs and be one of your females? What can you provide for me that I cannot find myself?" It wasn't that she was being hateful, but she valued intelligence above mere good looks.

Raja looked at the lioness and then flicked his hair out of his eyes thinking about what he did have in store for the lioness. She did seem like she was starting to become at least a little interested in what he was saying. That made him feel a little better. He was hoping that she would go with him and he felt like it was going to happen. He nodded at the lioness and then smiled at her. "I can offer you a good life. I will provide for you and get what ever you want me to get for you." He said simply with a chuckle. He was hoping to get what he wanted.

Isik was quiet a long moment as she pondered. She would be leaving her mother and sisters behind, yet at the same time they were all grown, living their own lives. He was handsome, well spoken, and polite at least. He had also said she would be free to leave if she was unhappy.
Nodding her head as if she had made up her mind, Isik gave him a bright smile. "Yes. Yes I will go with you Raja." Her smile turned amused as she got to her feet, "Shall we then?" With her mind firmly made up, she saw not reason to tarry. They had a long way yet to go...

Raja looked at the female and the surprise he felt could be seen on his face. He was extremely surprised to see that the lioness was so willing to come with her. He really was surprised. He was surprised to find some one who was so willing to go with him. He wasn't expecting it at all. He was expecting some one to give him a fight. She didn't expect anyone to be like, 'alright, lets just go.' He smiled at her still surprised, he must have still looked surprised, he knew that he felt extremely surprised. He didn't know what to think about her wanting to go with her. To him it was one of the most surprising things ever.
He paused for a moment before finally speaking. "Alright!" He told her with a chuckle standing up straight and then nodding to her. "Lets get going then shall we?!" He asked with a humorous tone. He thought it was pretty amusing. He didn't know what to think about it other wise but he knew he was ready to go back and see what was going to be coming his way. He was about to go back to his pride, and he was hoping that it meant his father and mother were going to be proud of his and he was hoping that the rest of his pride would also be proud of him.
