The demons dorm public kitchen was a mess with cheese and more cheese splashed on the counters and walls. There was even a knocked over jar of pickled jalapeno peppers laid on its side with the lid open. The pickled juices leaked happily on to the floor below.
But there in front of a foundu pot stood a pink haired demon marveling over something he had created. A readied bowl of corn chips laid next to Charlies pot. The demon poured the cheese on to the chips as neatly as he could with his long sleeved hands. Long sleeves were more then likely the cause of the kitchens disaster.
Infact, judging from the cheese dripping off the long sleeves, that was the case.
But the kitchen and sleeve sacrifice had been worth it. Charlie had done it! He'd made the perfect bowl of nachoes. It was enough to make any full grown bro cry. The nachos practically glowed with cheesy goodness. Right now the cheese was a little to hot to handle though. Charlie placed them on a counter behind him and quickly got to work scrubbing the kitchen down.
Charlie worked unnaturally fast while cleaning.

Ulmuka hadn't really been paying attention to where he wandered. 'Attention' of course was a relative term. He was very aware of what was around him, he inspected every student he passed (always giving them a nod and a hello) and tried to do his best at learning the navigation of the school grounds, but he didn't bother looking at things like the names on buildings. He'd been all over inside the monster dorms and now was freely roaming the demon dorms, putting his head into every cracked door. This earned a few slammed doors and a couple shrieks.
He was currently attempting to make his way out, his mouth cracked and tasting the air a bit for signs of anything interesting. He tasted it. Something delicious. Something that had just been baked. The strix peeked his head around the doorframe and saw the most delicious stack of nachos he'd ever seen. They were just sitting out!
He had no idea Charlie was only feet away, kneeling and cleaning like a maniac. If he'd known he wouldn't have picked up the whole container. He probably should have questioned the whole situation a little more but he didn't. Instead he just picked up the whole thing, spun on his heel, and headed back towards (what he thought) was the front door.
Was that a trail of cheese he was leaving behind him?

It had taken the demon some time but the kitchen looked as if no one had used it at all! Infact the kitchen sparkled it was so clean! However, Charlie had mistakenly tossed out the lid to the jalapeno jar. Ah well, it was nacho time.
The demon turned to his counter only to find that the gourmet nachos he'd made for him self weren't there. This surprised the little demon! Conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory spun through Charlies mind as to answer just what might have happened. He was about to settle for the fact that a mini pet portal must be connected to the counter until he spotted a trail of cheese.
Or rather, slipped on a trail of cheese and banged his head in to the counter. Of course this wasn't enough to keep our little pink haired hero down. Charlie was up and kneeling on all fours to examine this mysterious trail of cheese. Charlie wasted no time crawling after the long cheesy trail in to the main demon dorms halls.
For a demon, he was being a huge disgrace to his race right now. Not that Charlie really cared about formalities.

Muka, amazingly, hadn't even eaten a nacho yet. He was so amazed by the miraculous appearance of the wonderful food that he was simply enjoying the sensory overload while he found a nice place to sit and enjoy them.
He did swipe a large glob of cheese on one of his talons and suck on his finger. He made a delighted 'Scree!' noiseas the cheesy explosion happened in his mouth. The strix still had no idea where he was going and in fact, it was the opposite of the front door.
Dramatically, a stray chip fell to the floor making not a sound. It left a small puddle of cheese and several scattered crumbs. At the same time one of Ulmuka's mottled feathers drifted down from his wings, several feet down the trail.
The strix remained clueless to his tracker and began to hum a jaunty tune. If he couldn't find the door he'd have to find a room with some nice windows. He slowed his pace and began peeking into door ways for a proper resting place.

Charlie was clearly not being careful as he crawled after the trail of cheese.
CRUNCH
The demon lifted his hand to find itty bits of chip remains under his sleeved palm. Now his sleeves were even MORE sticky with cheese. And if that wasn't bad enough, his sleeve managed to get a feather stuck to them too! Charlie flailed his arm in attempts to try to get the feather off but it wouldn't budge.
Finally after five minutes of fail flailing a possible light bulb went off. This could be the crooks feather? Automatically his mind went to either Tahki or Hel. They both had feathers too!
Or maybe it wasn't them? Maybe Charlie stole the nachos? The demon did a home alone face and gasped. Only then was it that he realized his feathers were black.
"Phew," He wiped his forehead with the cheesy sleeve and made a mess of his face and hair. The demon was about to give up until he heard something being hummed. Charlie followed the tune curiously.

Muka whistled his tune and anxiously clacked his teeth together while he looked for somewhere to settle. His head popped into various rooms until he found a lounge like area with some musty couches and large, cobwebbed windows looking out onto the grounds. The strix pulled a chair over by the window and pushed it open, letting the delicious scent out into the air.
He waggled his fingers in excitement, like a creeper, above the nachos as he prepared to dig in.
"Heeee..." An excited half-giggle mixed with a hoot reverberated out of his throat.

The demon probably took a lot longer then he should have to find Muka. He'd popped his head in just about every room it seemed the trail lead when he really didn't need too. Charlie could have ignored the obviously dead ends and gone straight to the end. But the demon ignored that he could do this and reopened all the doors only to be surprised each time that the thief was no where to be found. Astonished would probably be a better word.
But then, finally, the cheese covered demon stumbled upon the right door. The delicious scent of cheese and fresh air wafted about a very short and angry looking demon who was now pointing full force at Muka.
"DROP THOSE NACHOES YOU!"

"ACK!" Muka was definitely the perfect fail-villain to play against Charlie's fail-detective. The strix held a chip precariously in front of his mouth, not yet eaten, but only an inch from being devoured. His golden eyes seemed perplexed but the sight of the cheese covered demon clued him in to the origin of the nachos.
He dropped the nacho.
Right into his mouth.
The rest of the plate was untouched and sitting in front of him.
"Hee! Dropped!" His shoulders shook in a amusement. He remembered Charlie from open house!! Just the memory sent the strix into a mini-giggle fit.

The demons stance did not slack at all. Only stiffened with the added bit of laughter and the nacho dropping in to the monsters mouth.
"W-whats... WHATS SO FUNNY?" The demon demanded. Now his posture was even more tense. Others laughing at him? He wanted to know the joke if there was one. The nachos for now were only partly forgotten.

Muka stopped laughing but still grinned. "Nothing really. I remember you from Open House. You were funny!" The strix then crunched noisily on the chip he'd thrown in his mouth. Apparently it had just been sitting on his tongue while he talked.
His teeth mashed over and over and then he craned his neck backwards and swallowed like a bird. "Are these yours? I thought they were free." Maybe some there were nacho-making gnomes on campus. HE DIDN'T KNOW.

"Open house? Open house... OH There was an awesome bat demon there and ummm.. I .." Charlie scratched his chin trying to recall those events but most of it was a blur. "I don't remember much. Was there pizza?"
Crunch crunch crunch. With every Crunch, the demon winced.
"Yeah those are mine. Can't you tell with all the awesome I put in to it? Theres like eight different cheeses and .... I WANT THEM BACK!" Emotion tackled reason out as Charlie flailed his arms. Who the ******** needed reason when you were a pink haired demon in a straight jacket?
"I tell you what! We can have a contest for them." Reason ultimately kicked emotion in the groin.

Muka was just going to give them back, but he would never say no to a contest. He wasn't even sure he'd ever competed in a contest before Amityville's variety of events. He had to admit things could often be frustrating but this contest seemed to be of a more jovial and social nature.
He was supposed to become a normal member of society!
"Okay!" Muka stood up and away from the nachos. He was rather tall and lanky. Much taller than the short demon. "What sort of contest?" His grin remained static.

Charlie had to crane his neck up now to look at the strix. Funny, Muka didn't seem that tall standing up. But luckily for Muka, the demon was used to looking up at most other students. Being four foot eight minus his horns had trained him in the art of being not tall.
"The kind of contest where I beat your butt of course~" Charlie nodded quite seriously. Smack talk, the demon did it a little to often. Some times to those that were more then willing to punch him in the face.
"How about a...." And now he paused trying to muse over just what sort of contest would be the best. His wings shuffled behind him a little too ready to get what ever it was over with so he could nom those nachos. But then it came to him.
" I have wings. You have wings. OBVIOUSLY! Lets see who can hold their breath under water the longest. We'll have to stick our heads under water though so I'll go get buckets." The demon left the room with out a word. Down the hall metallic sounds could be heard as 'supplies' were gathered. Then water started to run.

"Alright!" His response was a little too quick. A normal teen would have questioned the logic but Ulmuka didn't seem to be that normal of a teen. If it made sense to Charlie then it was fine for him too.
"So.." He was about to peek out the door when he heard another clanging noise. He darted his head back but then suddenly was drawn by the nachos. Maybe while he was out of the room Muka could snag another chip. Would the demon notice?
He put up his creeper hands and wiggled his fingers... LOOM over the plate....

There was a screeee noise as the buckets got closer and closer to the room. Charlie had to push the two metal buckets because they turned out to be way to heavy for a small creature such as him self to rightfully carry. The hideous noise stopped as soon as Charlie reached the door though to find Muka already at the nachos.
There was a look of shock on Charlies face that quickly faded to anger. The demon once again was pointing dramatically at Muka.
"HEY ! Stop that! You haven't won yet!" The demon put his hands on his hips for a moment and then pointed to the two buckets.
There was a trail of water from where Charlie had come from... and there was still a running water noise from some other room?
