Tennessee walked into his dorm and stood in the doorway for a few moments. He was somewhat surprised and unsure if he was disappointed or not to find himself on his own. For the time being he could sleep in or stay up however late he wanted as long as he made it to class. There was plenty of space and he got first dibs on which bed to take. It wasn't bad at all, but it was kind of lonely.

Andrew slung his duffel on the bed closest to the window and began to unpack. Transferring into a school after the semester had begun was not fun and he cringed to think of the assignments teachers would require for him to catch up. He was already longing for his farm.

"Well, guess I'd better make the best out of it," Tennessee mused as he opened his bag and nearly jumped out of his skin when something pink and unwanted popped out. "Violet!?"

The piglet looked up at him with her expectant, doe eyes and seemed very pleased with herself. Andrew frowned at the stowaway and wondered if pets were even allowed on campus.

"You're going to get me in trouble," Tennessee decided as he snagged the piglet and unceremoniously dumped her out the window. He ignored the squee of despair and alarm and didn't even bother to check what floor he was on. Knowing Violet, that wouldn't be nearly enough to kill nor dissuade her from stalking him.

"That reminds me... I'm kinda hungry," Tennessee mused and decided it would be a good idea to check out the layout of the school and perhaps grab a snack before he finished unpacking.

Tennessee couldn't resist the small blush on his cheeks as he returned back to his dorm. His mind was still partially reeling from the fact he was going to the dance with a girl. Not escorting one of his sisters to be polite, but a real date with someone who had no relation to him in any way. They had only just met but Seychelles seemed so nice and completely different from what he'd imagined a French state would be like. It might have been jumping the gun asking her to go with him, but Andrew had a good feeling about it. Maybe coming to school wasn't going to be so bad after all.

Andrew stopped once he'd entered the dorm and backed up just enough so he could reread the names on his door.

"Georgia..." he read aloud before wrinkling his nose suspiciously at the sign. It couldn't possibly be his Georgia. Surely not. Georgia hated studying even more than Tennessee did. Maybe it was that country. The one the news once confused him with. It had been more than a little embarrassing when he mistakenly went charging into Georgia's house looking for Russian tanks, and he would not be fooled again.

"Not today, European Georgia, but nice try," Tennessee told the door victoriously as he shut it and started his unpacking.

After a whole lot of running around and trying to figure out where it was he needed to go, Christian finally made it to the dorm building. He had been told his dorm room number, but no information on who his roommate was or even if he had a roommate yet. He excitedly ran to the dorm with all of his belongings and walked in. Some stuff had already been moved in, so that meant he was sharing with at least someone. Based off of the clothes, it was a guy. That made sense to him. He hadn't expected to be rooming with a girl. In fact, he probably would have been shocked and not know what to do with himself if a girl shared the dorm with him. Not because he didn't like girls. He was just so used to the idea of dorms not being co-ed.

He walked to one of the empty rooms and dropped his stuff in there. He walked to the closet and opened it to find, yes, he did have a uniform in there waiting for him. He sighed lightly and rubbed the back of his head. After a quick look, he found they were even in his size. Wow, his Boss really had thought this one through....

He knew he had to make it to class, but... What was the hurry? The day was almost over any ways. So long as he made it to the class before it ended, he could ask a classmate what class was next and a copy of the freshmen schedule. With that, be began to unpack his bags. (Well, some. He'd finish up before the end of the week.)
"Too bad I didn't show up on a prettier day. Oh well. The rain here isn't so bad. It's certainly better than when hurricane season comes by and does those surprise showers~!" He then stopped what he had bee doing and listened. Actually, now that he thought about it... It had sounded like someone was in the dorm when he arrived here. But the student should be in class. (He hadn't even bothered checking the door, so he had no clue that Tennessee was sharing the living area with him for the rest of the school year.)

That only left two options: the noise was an animal, or someone had broken into the dorm. The noise sounded human, so that had to mean it was some sort of intruder. After so many years of having to defend himself when he was really young, Christian bravely picked up a tomahawk and cautiously left his bedroom. He silently crept to where the noise was and... No. That couldn't be who he thought it was... Could it? Sure enough, Christian dropped his weapon and grinned widely.
"Andrew~! I missed you sooooo much~!" He went up to his brother and hugged him as tightly as he could. He loved all of his siblings (well, mostly), but his favorites had always been his neighbors. They just shared so much in common! It should be of no surprise that this love for his neighbors would put Christian in such a good mood in so little time.

Andrew froze up in horror and shock when he saw Georgia coming.

Sweet mother of God! European Georgia even looked like his Georgia!

Sensing the trap but unable to prevent it, Tennessee cringed at the hug and wondered just what this monster was trying to pull. How did European Georgia know how to imitate Christian so well? Could he have been stalking his brother? Or, worse, he might have done something to poor Georgia. There was no way Andrew was going to allow that. He twisted out from the hug and darted to get the dropped tomahawk. Andrew's anger and concern only grew when he realized this was definitely Christian's weapon.

"Alright, European Georgia, you'd better have a good explanation for this!" he half snarled as he waved the weapon dangerously. "If you did somethin' to George, I'll make you regret the day you were founded!"

Huh? Why was Tennessee so skittish about seeing him today? Was Andrew still sore about the whole Chattanooga thing? He apologized, like, four hundred times for that and even gave his brother a year supply of canned peaches and peanuts! You'd think he'd get over it by now! However, that was not the ca- Wait? European Georgia? "Andrew? How many times do I have to tell you? European Georgia is just an urban lege- WOAH! Okay! Just' calm on down now. You don't want to do nothin' irrational and possibly dangerous, do you?"

When it seemed like Andrew wasn't going to back down, Christian gave out the same type of "EEK!" he made when Arthur shipped over the first of the criminals and then told him he along with the thugs would have to protect all of America from Florida. Those were some scary times... What was up with Andrew? He was acting pretty screwy. Christian pressed his back against the nearest wall and looked up to Andrew like a rabbit that knows it's for dinner would do. Due to his fear, he went from speaking properly to slipping into his deep southern accent. "N- Now Andy, there aint no reason to be actin' this way. Can't ya tell it's me? An' how many times am I gonna hafta ask ya not to call me George. You know I don't like that name. Reminds me of when that mean ol' King bossed us all around and treated us like dirt.... Now then, please put my tomahawk down and step away slow-like. I don't want ya hurtin' me or that tomahawk. I was plannin' on bringin' it with me to the next Braves game."You know, despite how many times he had been told not to bring weapons or live animals (especially falcons) into a stadium. "Look, do I hafta answer quetions only I would know to prove it's me? Awright. First off, the two things I say most often are God and Coca-Cola. Food just aint finished unless it's deep fried, covered in gravy, has bacon on top, or all of them combined. Uh, let's see. What else.... Oh! I always complain about how New York is always comin' into my house an' then complainin' that I'm lame an' saying I suck even though they insist on comin' down. A- Anything else? H- How about you ask a few questions. You know you want to~!"

Andrew scowled darkly at Christian as he scrutinized every move he made and word he said. It was ironic that Tennessee's over protective tendencies might just be his brother's undoing. After what seemed like an eternity with the tomahawk blade a little too close to a proper striking position for anyone's comfort, the Volunteer State finally lowered the weapon with a sigh.

"George, you scared the crap outta' me," Tennessee scolded as if he was the one who had any right to complain. "What are you doin' here of all places?"

Christian blinked lightly. "I.... I SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF YOU?! You're the one that was ten seconds from bashing my head right into the floor." He gripped his chest and sighed out in relief. Thank God that Andrew believed him. He really wasn't in the mood to be running around the apartment. He was still a little jet-lagged and didn't think he could take on his brother in a foot race.

When he had calmed down, he stood and and regained his composure. He then gave one of his dumb smiles to his brother.
"Who? Me? Well, my Boss tricked me into coming here. True story. He came into my room a few days ago and told me to pack my bags. I wasn't sure what for but I didn't argue with him. I know he's screwed me over in the past before, but you know me. Live and let live. Well, any ways, I packed my bag, and the next day Boss took me to Hartsfield-Jackson and told me I was going on a special new flight simulator that's supposed to let people who are afraid of flying get to know what it's like to be in a plane. I thought, "But I'm not scared of flying in planes," but thought nothing of it afterwards. Well, after going through all the stuff, including that cool new X-ray thing they got now, I got on board and took a nap. When I woke up, it was time to get off. I thought maybe in the time I was on board Hartsfield-Jackson had been remodeled, but shrugged it off and kept walking until I found this nice man with a sign and went with him. I got into a car with him and all of my things and took another nap. When I woke up, I was here and calling my Boss to see what was going on. Turns out, it wasn't a flight simulator at all... Boss gave me this long lecture over the phone about my grades and telling me how I need a better education and what not. Now I have no clue where I am or how to get back home. But the Principal seems nice enough, and now that I know at least one other state is here with me, I guess I'll just give up trying to find a way home." With a story like that, it's a miracle worse things haven't happened to him yet. He probably would be the one to go into a windowless van because "some nice man" offered him candy. Of course, the dumb look on his face only proved that every single word of his story was true...

Tennessee could only marvel sadly at Georgia's story and put a hand on his poor brother's shoulder. He smiled even though a very large part of him felt like crying. There was a limit to how gullible someone could be before they were just stupid. Plain and simple.

"Yeah... so... I think we should always walk to class together," Andrew said as kindly as he could without blatantly telling his sibling he thought Christian couldn't be trusted with his own well being. Nations were crafty and after seeing someone as scary as Sweden roaming around Tennessee didn't think he could be too careful. No matter how frustrating Georgia could be, Andrew didn't want to risk him getting hurt.

Georgia blinked lightly before he smiled to his brother. A part of him could tell Tennessee was only wanting to stick with him to keep him safe from bad people, but it was still nice that his brother was willing to walk with him to class instead of leave him to himself. "I would like that very much, Andrew. Oh! Hey. I'm going to finish unpacking a few things and I think I'll change into my uniform before heading to class. We're in Science right now, right?"

"Yeah," Tennessee admitted and was a little surprised to hear Georgia wanting to get to class. He tilted his head to the side as he tried to figure out how long it might take them to unpack and get back to the science room. "We'll be pretty late. You don't mind walkin' in on the teacher?"

He belatedly remembered Christian's tomahawk in his hand and offered it back to his brother with a sheepish smile. "Um... Sorry 'bout almost scalpin' you," he said. "Can't be too careful, you know? What with European Georgia out there somewhere imitating you... who knows what some weirdo like that might do?"

He still didn't understand, no matter how many times it had been explained, that the nation Georgia wasn't imitating anyone and it was a coincidence. Honestly, Andrew hadn't even known there was another Georgia until he thought Russia was invading his southern neighbor. Since then he'd been partially convinced the foreigner was some kind of evil twin trying to trick him.

Walk in on the teacher? Oh, that would be pretty rude. Christian looked up in thought before he smiled happily. "Well, we wouldn't want to interrupt anything important, so I suppose missing Science won't hurt. And since I have no clue what the next class is, I don't think it would be all that big of a deal if we missed it or not. Honestly, I wouldn't mind just changing into my pajamas and just relaxing around here for the rest of the day." Christian reached and and lazily stretched. "I'm glad I have you around to help me think these sort of things through. You're a good influence on me~!" That, or Christian was just easily influenced. Either way, he'd made up his mind that he was fine with just staying around here for the rest of the day. He could go to school tomorrow.

As his brother apologized and handed him his tomahawk back, Georgia accepted it with no bad feelings towards Tennessee. Hey, it had been an honest mistake. The fact that his brother had been looking out for him was what counted.
"That's alright, Tennessee. Still, you should know by now European Georgia isn't real. He's just a place the media made up to worry people-- kinda like that whole Roswell thing! Just an urban tale. I'm the one and only Georgia~!" Georgia had convinced himself of that after the whole "Russia invading Georgia" story. In fact, it was Andrew who told him about this story. For the next week, poor Georgia went around feeling a bit paranoid about 1.) Russian spies living in his home and 2.) the idea that there was more than one of him. After some time, and no Russian spies, Christian convinced himself that the European Georgia being invaded was some sort of false story the news made up. After all, Christian never listened to the news, so why would he believe it? And since he, like Alfred, usually only looked at a map of the U.S., he had also never seen a second Georgia on the map. Seemed like good enough of a reason to think that someone was telling lies for attention. New York was probably the one to make up the story. They were always trying to cause poor George trouble after the Civil War...

"Are you sure he ain't real? There were pictures..." Tennessee muttered uncertainly. Of course, there were pictures of bigfoot, too, but that wasn't the point. "I mean, the media wouldn't just make up somethin' like that... Why would the news lie to us?"

Andrew looked at Georgia almost like his puppy had been kicked. Surely an American news station wouldn't try to manipulate them like that. Maybe there had been that one time with the USS Maine and the Spanish-American War, but everybody makes mistakes. He had been told there had been a few incidents where the media had sensationalized stories or participated in other war mongering schemes yet he still just couldn't believe the people he relied on to tell him the truth would purposely lie to him. It was their job to be honest, after all. Other countries were probably deceived by their own government controlled news stations, but that could never happen in America. It was unthinkable.

Georgia hated that look Tennessee got when he felt like someone had lied to him. It was especially bad since the guy was loyal to America through and through and was probably heartbroken that Georgia had even suggested that Euro Georgia was a lie. "......Oooooooh! Wait! I think I know what it might be!" The look on Christian's face was one of pure pride for coming up with this idea. How had he not thought of this in the first place.

"Here me out on this one. So what if European Georgia was real, but Georgia isn't really his name! I mean, think about it! How many times do the other nations get mad that we're saying things the wrong way? Maybe European Georgia is really Gee-Oh-Roh-Gee-Ah, and not Georgia at all. The news people were probably just so used to how we pronounced it here in America that they said the name all wrong?" Christian laughed in a way that came pretty close to mirroring Alfred's laugh. (Then again, which state didn't laugh even remotely similarly to Alfred?) Still, he seemed much more comfortable with this idea since the thought that the news would make up an entire country hadn't exactly settled well with him either. "See? A simple misunderstanding! Gee-oh-roh-gee-ah isn't evil or trying to pretend to be me? We're just saying their name wrong is all."
