So i've been curious about different religions. i'm Christian and i have been raised in the household to know God and love him. However; a lot of my church friends have called several other religions to be "of the Devil" well i know a few people who are of those different religions and they aren't bad people. In fact, they're a lot nicer than my church friends. So i've been curious, i'd like to learn about the different religions that have been Demonized. Particularly Wicca, that seems to come up in the discussions a lot. Though i have a friend who practices, i'm not able to sit him down and talk due to work getting in the way. So can anyone here help me out???
Oh and if you aren't gonna help me and just sit there and thump bibles all day, don't post, we don't need that clogging up this forum.

Your question is pretty broad. Also there is a sub-forum for Pagan religions. If you are seeking and looking at other religions, you might want to check out some of the early Christian heresies as well. I found some of them to be easier to understand personally.

If you are seeking and looking at other religions, you might want to check out some of the early Christian heresies as well. I found some of them to be easier to understand personally. The only problem that I've seen with the Pagan subforum though is there's only like 2 or 3 religions that have been touch on in there. I was actually a little sad to see that, what I would think, as more common Pagan religions(as in Hellenistic, Kemetic, Norse, ect) not being discussed. I'd start discussions but I wouldn't know where to start.

About the only real "demonic" religion is Satanism-quite literally from what I've found it's the opposite of everything Christian.
For Wicca...there's way to much to describe; there's so many different branches, sub-branches, etc. as well as variations of these variations that I wouldn't even know where to begin talking about it.
Some places to look to get the basic idea however would be Gerald Gardner, the founder of Wicca. Other people are Scott Cunningham, Thea Sabin, and if you want to take a look at a celebrity witch, Fiona Horne. A simple google on Wicca and a few hours of reading will also give you a lot of information-almost to much at times.
For any other religions...I suppose that depends on what you're curious about. Feel free to PM me about most mainstream religions and neo-religions.

Scott Cunningham's stuff isn't really Wicca, despite the titles. He even mentioned regretting using the word later in his life. His stuff is technically his own tradition called Standing Stone. It's not bad and it's completely valid. It's just not Wicca.
There are also things you should avoid, like Silver Ravenwolf.
