It had taken little time at all for Guy to reach the park situated in the heart of Camphoreon. By now, it was becoming quite the familiar backdrop; almost like it was second nature to walk the paths of the public forest and gardens. As per usual, Anonymes was at his master's shoulder, happy to be among the grasses and the trees again. Of course, Anonymes was always happy when he was with his master. His master was the best, after all. Once Guy had managed to contact his friend, they had agreed to meet together at the park to discuss the recent goings-on. Guy, honestly, was a bit relieved to be able to see Luke again. It was reassuring to know that the young master was safe, but even besides that, Guy just enjoyed being around his friend.
After a few minutes of wandering while quietly appreciating the scenery, Guy found a large, grand oak tree which was slowly beginning to shed its leaves as the formerly green branches turned all kinds of shades and hues of red, orange, and brown. The few leaves that had already been grounded crunched underneath Guy's boots as he walked up to the tree and leaned his back against the trunk, crossing his arms over his chest. His blue eyes were closed as he stood there in silence.
Guy wondered what exactly he was going to say to his younger friend. He knew he had to tell him about the recent meeting with the former Hoenn Champion Steven Stone and his proposition of training in his home region. If Guy knew Luke - and he would certainly like to think so - his friend would be all over the idea of exploring and training in a brand new region, let alone the fact that he had stolen away to Kodo for that very reason, or at least a reason similar. But... There was also the problem of the other topic that was swimming around in Guy's head. The problem of that Asch. Guy himself wasn't sure if Luke knew about that Asch directly, but he at least had an inkling that Luke heard of a person who looked much like him. That particular topic was... dicey, at best, and Guy wasn't very sure about how to approach it. He didn't even know if Luke knew that his lookalike had stolen Miss Rosie's Vaporeon. He was upset enough by the fact that Vah'yn was stolen at all: how would he react if he knew that the thief looked just like him? Troubling indeed.
While his master stood in silence, Anonymes hovered around close-by, looking in wonder at all of the changing leaves. How pretty all of these leaves were! Anon loved autumn-time! It was such lovely weather out, and the colors were always so nice! Anon didn't think that he could ever be unhappy in this weather. No one should be unhappy on such a nice day. But. Master seemed a little troubled. That was upsetting to Anon. Master should definitely never be unhappy. After all, they were going to see Sir Luke again. Master was really good friends with Sir Luke. Master sometimes complained about Sir Luke when he's being a bother, but Anon knew better. Anon knew that his master just cared about Sir Luke. ...Maybe that was why Master was looking a little blue. Because he was worried about Sir Luke. Master really was so kind and compassionate and wonderful to care so much! Anon loved his master!

Becoming stronger was a necessity, but the means of going about this task were nothing if not unclear. As much as Luke would boast about how much more experience Mieu now had in battle and how much progress he was making with Tartarus, the fact stood that he was completely winging his training wouldn't dare to suddenly toss either of the pokemon into battle against anyone but each other. At the same time, the boy worried that his sword was beginning to lose its edge. He had practiced frequently with his teacher at home, and though Guy was certainly skilled enough to spar against, it was different from having his master admonish, praise, and guide him.
As serious as he was about improving his skills, it was a welcome break when Guy asked to speak with him. He presumed it had something to do with the fiasco at the contest, or perhaps with what had happened after - he recalled plans being made to contact the Hoenn champion. He had declined to meet with the man himself, unwilling to sit and listen to things he didn't understand well discussed by someone he didn't especially like. It had been uncomfortable knowing he was being left out of the conversation - of his own volition even - but he had spent the time learning more about Mieu's and Tartarus's attacks, so he couldn't regret his choice.
Regardless of any regrets he did or didn't carry, he couldn't help but look forward to what Guy had to say. Mieu trotted merrily at Luke's heels as he made his way toward the tree-filled park, and it wasn't long before the boy spotted his waiting friend. He raised a hand in greeting on instinct and called, "Hey, Guy!," increasing his pace to quickly close the remaining distance.

The familiar sound of his young master's voice in the distance caused Guy to open his eyes suddenly and look all about in slight surprise. It was not long at all before he saw Luke a short ways away, quickly making his way up to the tree. Guy smiled to himself and gave a small chuckle. In all honesty, he hadn't expected Luke to arrive so quickly, but it wasn't an unpleasant thing to see otherwise. All the better, actually.
"Hey there, Luke," he called in reply, raising his hand and giving his friend a mock two-fingered salute as he approached. "You don't seem to be faring too badly, it looks like." As Luke neared, Guy noticed Mieu right behind him, as always. In that sense, the Flareon reminded Guy much of his own affectionate little companion.
Said companion floated up to Guy's shoulder and watched curiously as Sir Luke and his Pokemon came to greet them. Anon hadn't seen much of Sir Luke before now - the last time he did was when they were all at the Pokecenter after that horrible contest where Miss Rosie's Vaporeon was caputured! Oh, how awful that was! It made Anon sad just thinking about it! Sir Luke sure seemed angry about it, too, but right now Sir Luke looked as happy as could be. Anon wasn't sure what to make of that. He liked it when others were happy, though. When others were happy, Anonymes was happy.

"Yeah," he said vaguely, pocketing his hands. "Been training with Mieu and Tartarus." Green eyes wandered to the Flareon as its name was mentioned, and the gaze was returned by the pokemon. "Anyway, what's up?" He didn't mean to cut pleasantries short or anything, but he had a building curiosity for what had been said amongst the group in their meeting with the alleged pokemon master.

"Oh, that's good," Guy remarked when Luke mentioned his training with his own Pokemon. He was glad to hear that Luke was shirking on his practicing while they were here, but training was one of the few things that Luke did willingly and enthusiastically. Guy had little to worry about in that regard.
"Ah yes, the meeting." Guy leaned back against the tree and folded his arms, closing his eyes for a moment as he went over the synopsis in his head, then he looked back to Luke. It unnerved him how similarly Luke and that freaking Asch looked, but he tried to focus on the task at hand and push any doubting thoughts away from his mind.
"Well, we all met up with Steven at this little cafe. It was, uh... me, and Miss Rosie, and Seraphine, Dith, and a couple of others that I didn't know as well, although Miss Rosie seemed to know them well enough." Guy couldn't remember offhand the names of the two others who attended the meeting. There was that shy-looking girl with the tattoos and the really young girl with green hair, and that was all he could remember of them. "The conclusion we came to was that we all need to focus on training and getting stronger, and Steven offered to have all of us take a ship over to the Hoenn region and spend some time training there with him. He said that you'd be welcome to come along with us if you wanted to." Somehow, Guy doubted that Luke would ever dream of passing up an opportunity such as this, but he needed to ask either way.

Luke listened to the names that were listed - he had expected the majority of them, but the unknown individuals caused him some confusion. Who else would have been there? That was weird. But no matter; he disregarded the mystery of the unknown identities and instead concentrated on the summary his friend offered. He blinked in surprise at mention of the offer, "Huh, Hoenn? That's... some other region, right?" It sounded familiar, but he didn't have a very firm grasp of it. Not as though it really matter. "Anyway, yeah! I'm all for training." Maybe not so much with Steven, as he maintained that the guy was weird, but a journey devoted to growing stronger sounded appealing in any context.

"Yeah, it's a southern tropical region. Apparently it has a lot of islands included in it, as well as a desert and an active volcano. It should have a lot of really unique Pokemon and places in it, and since the League is there, we might even be able to challenge some of the Gyms while we're there." Even as Guy said it, he was beginning to feel anxious to get on their way. Kodo was nice, he had to admit, but the idea of going to a subtropical region and training with all of his friends was too good to pass up, and it was no surprise to Guy that Luke would agree.
He spared a chuckle for his friend's obvious approval of the imminent escapade. "That's great. I'll have to let Steven know, then. He said that our boat will be leaving in a couple of days, so we'll have to get all of our stuff together by then." Guy was pleased by how smoothly that had gone. No real hassle or anything. He was reminded then of the second point he had intended to make, and he silently hoped that it would go over just as well. Honestly, Guy sincerely doubted it.
"Also, Luke...? There was one more thing I've been meaning to talk to you about..." Guy trailed off, taking a step towards his friend. He wasn't entirely sure how to put his thoughts into words, so he figured the best method was one part at a time. "It's, uh... about Miss Rosie's Vaporeon. Or, rather, it's about the person who took her."
Anon floated happily by his master's shoulder, getting excited with the idea of going to see a brand new place. This 'Hoenn' sounded like a lot of fun! He couldn't wait to go with Master! He was sure that it would be a lot of fun, and difficult, too! They would all get stronger, though! With the prospect of getting stronger making the Lampent giddy, he jovially floated over to Sir Luke, landing in the young man's red hair and wrapping his arms around his head in a friendly hug.

Luke could respond to the description with little more than an impressed "wow." Kodo was amazing enough, with the ocean and the city and the mountains and the plains, and now Hoenn with deserts and volcanoes and islands. This was really proving to be quite the 'vacation' he'd taken. "Well that sounds awesome to me!" He was really looking forward to the opportunity now.
Guy's change in disposition drew a change in Luke's own, beginning with an expectant confusion and hardening with gravity. "What about him?" His tone was bitter and hateful; he couldn't fight the guilt that he should have been there nor the hasty anger that there had to be more he could do now. This series of serious emotions were disarmed by the sudden Lampent wrapped around his head. It was sort of difficult to act angry while looking so ridiculous.

Guy really couldn't blame Luke for his bitter and angry tone when he mentioned the thief who stole Miss Rosie's Pokemon. As far as Guy could tell, Miss Rosie and Luke were already very good friends. Considering Luke's attitude towards protecting his friends, Guy was sure that he was furious that he couldn't have done anything to stop it. Guy could most certainly sympathize with that sentiment.
"Well... First things first, I think I heard that the thief's name was something along the lines of 'Asch.' At least, I think that was what Miss Rosie called him. I'm not sure if it's his actual name or not, but..." Guy paused, trying to recollect his thoughts and the details about the mysterious young man. He folded his arms and took a deep breath before continuing. "There's one thing that really bugs me about him, though, besides all of the stealing stuff. Luke..."
Here, Guy turned to face Luke, but he stopped as he saw his excited Lampent wrapped around his friend's head. All momentum lost, Guy sighed and gave a small smile, beckoning his Pokemon back to his side. Anon, while he was reluctant to leave Sir Luke, complied happily and floated back to his Master's shoulder where he hovered joyfully. Guy rolled his eyes, then became somber once again as he turned his attention back to Luke. "Luke, this Asch guy, whoever he is, looks almost exactly like you. That's what bugs me the most about all of this." Arceus knew how Luke would respond to something like that, but if Guy had to hazard a guess, he would say not very well.
