The salon, Vlad stood outside of it half afraid to enter the place. One reason mainly due to the fact that, while he wanted a change, a haircut, he hadnt had his haircut since... well never! Okay no he was sure in the orphanage they cut his hair but after that... he had kept it long. Him and his brother who followed suit. It set them apart from the other men, gave them something to be proud of, something they had together. But after 9 and a 1/2 years of his own forced-but needed- mental change in his behavior. Vladimir was thinking of separating himself from his twin. Dante's behavior, his own previous behavior just fed off of the worse parts of them both. And the only way they were going to get better, the only way he was going to continue to improve was to distance himself from his brother and cope normally. The more sessions he had with Eva, and the more he tried to bring Dante with him to these sessions, the more he realized how sick his brother still was and how much he didnt want to have to deal with the Queen. The other reason why Vlad was standing outside of the Salon and hadnt entered it yet was because of who owned the place. Kade was-used to be a friend of Dante's. But that wasnt the problem, it was the last name of the owner. The Waldroup's. Jacob Waldroup had custody of Vladimir's son and he knew the priest thought ill of him, especially with Romane around them. Now Kade wasnt Jacob, but he was a Waldroup, and it would be stupid of him to think that walking into the salon wouldnt be awkward. He didnt know what Kade thought of him, but he assumed it was along the lines of what Jacob, and Romane thought. But.. he just wanted a haircut, and this was the only place to do it-properly anyways, he wasnt about to do it himself. So Vlad tried to buck up and headed into the Salon, the little bell rang as the door opened to notify staff that a customer had walked in. Vlad slipped his hands into his pockets, as he waited for someone to come to the front of the store. His expression was slightly worried, but overall just calm and withdrawn-unlike how he used to be. He tried to focus on something else in the meantime, like what kind of hobbies he should pursue, since Eva suggested the idea at their last meeting. What kind of hobbies did Kade have? Maybe he could ask, if the man didnt kick him out on the spot or was even up to talking. Vlad frowned at the thought of the awkwardness this was all going to cause. How had he ******** up so badly?

As he often did at this time of day, the hairdresser was sitting behind the front desk, looking through his latest digital camera at all the pictures he had taken throughout the last five minutes. Most of them contained shots of himself smiling and a few random ones of the ceiling fan, but they still were interesting enough to keep the man occupied. At one point, Kade had had Junior come in after school to hang around and talk with – as much as Junior could be talked with – but, ever since the boy had gone off to highschool, Kade had been left to his own devices. He couldn't take the bunnies to work anymore ever since a customer with a serious allergy had startled the living daylights out of him and he was trying his best to remain with a boss and employee relationship with his girls, so.. That just left pictures. Lots of pictures. Kade still kept up with the latest technology because they were always so fun and pictures lasted forever! They couldn't leave him! Yep! Kade was happy as could be with those little bits of data to stare at!
But, that didn't mean the man wasn't happy to see a customer come in. Kade's eyes went from the small screen towards the entrance as a bell sounded, his fingers casually flicking the power button on his camera as he set the device down in a drawer where no one could see it. He didn't trust someone wouldn't steal it; oh, no, he had already been down that route once before! So, once he secured himself his expensive new toy was safe, he smiled at the newcomer and perked up in his best working-expression. Most people would have gotten a secretary at this point in the salon's lifespan, but, well, Kade enjoyed working the front desk! It gave him something to do during the day when his rabbits were busy being anti-social to him~! Even when an awkward customer like this one walked in, he still somewhat enjoyed it. Kade looked at Vlad and stilled, thinking for a second before he bothered greeting the potential customer. Unlike Vlad's suspicions, Kade really didn't talk to Romane or his younger brother – well, Jacob didn't talk to Kade. Especially lately, but Kade wasn't very pessimistic when it came to Jacob; the boy never did like to talk very much.. So, all Kade knew was that Constantine was Vlad's son, but the sheriff had taken him away and put him under Jacob's care. Nothing more, nothing less.
Though, that often could be the worst thing for someone like Kade, what with how gossipy and imaginative he could be. His opinions of Vlad wasn't the best right then, but, as he made it very clear to himself, he wasn't going to knock a customer out for something like that! ..Especially one with such pretty hair~ “Hi! Welcome to Sugar Salon! Do you have an appointment or walk in? It's good either way, just wanting to know what we're doing here!” He said cheerfully as he went to take out their ledger and a pen, ready to jot the man in.

Vlad was busy idly looking around the place with his gaze when Kade approached him. He turned his eyes on the male, a fleeting thought of half smacking the boy came to his mind. Maybe they hadn't met formally but he was sure as hell aware of who Kade was and Kade should know of him, who didn't on this island? unless they had just come here. But he didn't even make a move towards Kade, one he didn't want to actually hit the man. Two he needed to keep his anger in check, even if that meant it was subdued and bottled up most of the time. Kade's cheerfullness was welcome though, Vlad looked Kade over, it seemed geinuine enough. And here he had expected some kind of.. door to the face, or boot to the a**. Hm... maybe he was being pessimistic and taking this, 'everyone hates me' a bit too far. Maybe Kade just didnt know, or he did but he was being polite about it. Why did others opinions matter so much anyways? Oh right.. The whole attention thing him and Eva talked about. "Hi. Just a walk in, if thats possible." Vlad said as he cleared his throat and gave the quiet room a quick glance over. Of course it was, the air in here seemed lonely. Vlad turned his eyes back onto Kade. "I just want a haircut." He said part of him still not believing he was going through with this. "Something shorter... but still kind of long." Vlad said gently as he looked to his hair, running his long fingers through it. He frowned lightly seemingly uneasy of this whole situation, but he knew it had to be done. Well at least its what he convinced himself of. "Kind of like your's, shaggy like that but still nice looking." Vlad said as he looked to Kade's own hair. " Enough for people to grab onto when your f-" Vlad stopped himself. Best not to finish that sentence. "You think you can fit me in?" Vlad asked gently changing the subject.

Oh, good, it looked like they were going to keep this business-y! Kade hadn't sensed any resentment from the man with his presence and Kade had tried his best to do the same back to him. The hairdresser often heard bad rumors about lots of people, but he wasn't one to ruin his business over something like that, so he was pretty well practiced by this point with keeping any assumptions from his behavior. “Okay! Walk in, cut and style..” He said as he wrote down Vladimir's name and information, pausing as he was about to list Haruka as the stylist. The girl wasn't really in just yet and it didn't seem like she would be coming back anytime soon.. Tatyana was out, so he doubted that she could run and grab her very quick.. Plus, Vlad seemed to be playing nice, despite what people said.
“Looks like I'll be doing your hair today – I'm Kade, if you didn't already know.” He said as he closed the book and stood up from behind his desk, frowning as he took in that.. 'shaggy' comment. He didn't think he looked shaggy! Cutely messy! Not.. shaggy! Shaggy made him think of some mangy, smelly dog! He bit his tongue from correcting the man, though – he would be dealing with him for a good half hour or so! “So, Vlad, if you could go over to one of the chairs – I'll be there in just a second. Do you want a wash too?” He went on as he indicated the open space behind the desk where the rest of the floor sat, three stations lined up against the wall. Even if they only ever had two stylists, he knew it was always good to give customers options and room, especially in a small town like this. People just weren't used to crowds out here half the time!

Vlad slipped into a calm ease as Kade kept things professional. He would just have to watch his own self, which he felt he was capable enough. What with Eva's encouragement of him making progress. Though he did notice the frown from Kade when he mentioned the type of haircut he wanted. He thought shaggy was nice, like a- i just woke up out of bed look. Vlad was about to question the frown and Kade's introduction of himself-seriously they had both been on this island for.. how long now? His lips parted to say something but he stopped when Kade told him to grab a seat and asked about a wash. "I know you Kade, at one time you were at least acquaintances with my brother. But.. anyways. Well, i did wash it this morning. But its up to you..." Vlad said as he smirked and an comment that he couldn't help let slip, passed his lips. He ran his fingers through his hair, watching Kade with a predatory -though subdued- look in his eyes. "It would give you more time to play with the velvety mess before its chopped off." Vlad said in a husky tone before he smiled and shook his head. Heading over to one of the stations against the wall, Vlad took a seat in one and waited for Kade.

“Well, yeah, but we didn't.. talk.. muuuuuch..” Kade's sentence stopped as he looked at Vlad, his smile staying although it was apparent from his blank eyes that he wasn't being as 'there' as he was a few seconds ago. Something about Vlad's eyes and voice had him drifting off into a quick flurry of thought, leaving him speechless until the guy decided to turn around and leave to where he was directed to go. Kade stood where he was at for a moment more, looked back at the desk and to the drawer where he kept the ledger in thought. Playing nice? Oooh, no. No, no, no – he was getting definite chills by being near him! This meant bad news and Kade was done with bad news! So, it was without a single doubt that he lifted his hand up and spoke out cheerily again to where Vlad sat, “Hold on one second, Vlad! Someone will be with you in a bit!”
With that assurance, he hurried on to the backroom, found the phone, and dialed Haruka's cell phone as fast as humanely possible. He waiting patiently enough until someone picked up and, when they did, he started without breath. “Haruka? Honey? Hey, I really, really, really need you to come in really fast because there's a customer here and I need you to take him over because I don't want to – I mean, I know it's my job and I'm sorry for bugging you and stuff, but, you know, I got this chill and it's not because I don't care about your safety that I want to put you into it – you're my number one employee! But, I think you can handle it better and – I'm your boss! I'm ordering you to come in now or.. or I'll..!” And, with that, he hung up. Because, really, he had nothing to threaten her with; Kade didn't have it in him to fire his employees or lower their pay. ..Infact, just that was enough to have him wondering if he shouldn't buy her some cookies or something from the bakery. What did Haruka like..?

Haruka was at the salon almost immediately. Her mother's house, where she often spent her workdays, was right next door, afterall, so it was only a matter of minutes to go from the sunroom to the salon. Not to mention, Kade had sounded desperate on the phone, so she barely managed to tell her mother and Raiden that she was heading out before hurrying off to work. She had known Kade long enough to know that a phone call like that meant that something was going on. Whether it was a good or a bad something, she didn't know. Even so, it sounded urgent, so she hurried over as fast as she could. She wasn't sure what she was expecting, but it probably wasn't this.
"Hello," she breathed as she popped through the door. She was surprised. There was just Kade, and some long haired man sitting in a chair. Honestly, she didn't really understand the situation, but her boss had said that he wanted her to take over for him, so she didn't allow herself to dwell on it for long. Tugging off her coat, she smiled at Vlad. "Hi, I'm Haruka. I hope you don't mind if I take over for Kade, do you?" He looked kind of familiar, but she couldn't remember where she had seen his face. Of course, Nirvani was a small place, so she had that feeling with most people, but there was something about this guy that set off a small negative feeling in the back of her mind. But work was work, and she wasn't going to let a silly little feeling get in the way of her doing her job. "If you don't mind waiting for a bit, I just need to get set up. Do you just want a cut, or anything else?" The salon was a small place, so as she spoke to Vlad, she put her things behind the desk and went to get her apron. As she did so, she passed Kade, and she paused for a moment. "Are you okay, Kade?" she asked in a lowered voice, glancing at him anxiously. He had sounded a little frantic on the phone, and honestly, she was a little curious as to what was so bad about the guy sitting in the chair. Aside from having long hair, of course.

New Day!
Popcorn was in a strange mood over the man she had won. Those that she had really wish to get were June or Kade, for obvious reasons, but then thought that their corresponding hints were too obvious to be them.... Instead, she had ended up with cowboy, WHICH only made her think of Brokeback Mountain, which was awesome. Ah, to be conflicted. As for where they should go, the Salon was the first place to pop into her head. While she had total over a handsome cowboy, she could make him look like a pretty and handsome cowbow, and then go to the clothing sotre and buy him dresses and ohohohohoh.

♞ Tate • Michael • O'Ballivan Terrified. That could explain how Tate O'Ballivan was feeling that very moment. He and his wife volunteered for the white Day festival every year because the money went for a good cause. But this year Tate was seriously wondering if any amount of money would be worth the day he was going to have. Grow a pair damnit. You rode bulls for a livin' for a long time. You can't let one lil' lady scare you outta you're boots. Regardless of the internal pep talk that he was giving, he truly was worried. What if she wanted to dye his hair or some crazy nonsense!? Damn it all to hell and back now he was more terrified. Before he could wimp out, or change his mind, Tate pushed the door open and stood as close to the door as possibly without blocking the way. Seeing a blonde woman and no one else really around he had to assume this was Sierra. "'Lo there ma'am. 'Re (pronounced 'are' but heavy on the 'A') you Sierra? I'm supposed'ta meet her here..." Shuffling his cowboy boots he tried to make him stand comfortably but there was just no possible way. He jacket was making him too hot, and he needed to take his hat off but he wasn't moving one step that wasn't necessary. No sirr-y.

The moment Popcorn saw Tate entering the salon, a large grin grew on her face and her eyes became large enough to be cartoon-drawn. Just look at him! With his cowboy outfit and his accent and his everything! He was so cute! He would make a wonderful top being all that manly! Or… waiiiit. Noooo…. On second thought, he was probably one of those manly bottoms! It just made her idea of giving him a make over all the better! ”Hiiii! You can call me Popcorn!”, she said as she wrapped her hand around him and started to drag him closer inside the salon. Awe, he was so shy to be with her that he actually seemed to want to run away! BUT NO. She wouldn’t let him out of her sigh so easily. She had a male to do whatever she wanted with, and she would do just that. ”Why don’t you sit on that chair Tate? Tell me all about you! Are you a real cowboy or is it just a style? Do you like to role-play a lot like that? Oh! Oh! Do you ride horses? Like…. In the sunset? With other cowboys?” She climbed on one of the salon chair, making it spin as sat on her heels with her chin on the back of the chair as she looked at Tate coming and going and coming and going as the chair spun. She had just met him and she already love him! Good thing she had brought her camera with her! Oh, all those little photoshop she could doooo~~~

♞ Tate • Michael • O'Ballivan She was so excited, and to Tate, that made her scary. But he was polite and didn't run the other way when she dragged him into the salon. Salon. With a small internal shiver Tate couldn't believe he was in the place. Terrified didn't begin to cover how he was feeling. "'Lo there Miss Popcorn." There, that was a small step right? He said hello and called her what she asked. He lowered himself awkwardly into the chair and didn't know what to do with himself. How the hell were these things comfortable? He didn't understand but he wasn't asking. At her quick succession question's he answered as best he could. "Yessim' I'm a real cowboy." He had never heard of a fake cowboy before in his life, but it could have just been people didn't bullshit around him, otherwise things got nasty for them. Trying not to focus on fake cowboys he answered the rest of her questioning. "No ma'am I don't ride into the sunset purposefully, it happens when you're out on the range tho'. And yessum I ride horses. No boy's helpful back home if he dudn't ride a horse. It's just that simple." He sent her a charming cowboy grin and hoped she wasn't as scary as he seemed. Otherwise he might hightail it all the way back home. And that would make him a wimp. And no one alive had ever said Tate Michael O'Ballivan was a wimp. No sir.

As she listen to the cowboy speaking, Popcorn’s face slowly, but carefully, lowered itself behind the back of the chair until only her two eyes were popping out of it. If one had been able to see her full face right now, she would have been ashamed, mainly because of all of the droll coming out of her mouth right about now. That man was so dreamy, and mainly, so GAY. It was like a dream come true! He now he just had admitted that he loved to ride horses with people and she would be in paradise! ”Tell me Taaaate, do you often ride with…. Other people? Like… other meeeeeeen? On your horses? “, she said a bit loudly, making sure that he could head her even thought the back of the hair salon’s chair was muffling her voice. ”And-and-and, if you do…. Do you like to go, like, camping? With other guys? Alone? In the food? Au naturel?” She was already chuckling by herself behind the chair as many, many very naughty thoughts were crossing her mind. Oh, Sierra Mikhain, you were a bad girl.

♞ Tate • Michael • O'Ballivan Alright, so she was asking really odd question's but she wasn't being scary. So he could deal with that, but if she stated being scary he was hightailing. No matter what. Although, it was kinda weird that she kept sliding down the chair. But if that was the strangest thing then it was ok. He could just pretend she was drunk or something. People did weird things when drunk right? Oh well, back to the questioning. "I ride (usually pronounced with a long 'I' like riiiiiide) with whoever's 'round. I go with my wife a 'lotta the time. Or my brothers. Or when I lived on the ranch with that farm hands. But if I camp it's usually alone, or with my wife and son. And we aren't exactly walkin' 'round naked." Well not when Brody was around for camping trips. If it was just him and Amanda though? Well they didn't really go outside. "I went campin' with the ranch hands once though, although none of us was walkin' round nude. We were chasin' cattle rustler's and that wouldn't be very manly to walk 'round with nothin' on." Leaving the subject alone he hoped it didn't sound like he walked around naked, because he didn't. That would just be really awkward.

-Stella Hammett-
-NEW DAY-
This should be it. "Sugar Salon, Mr. Waldroup" read aloud the blue haired woman as she checked the list on her clipboard. It definitely looked like a Sugar Salon. Oh the memories~ That's where she got her first dye job~ Stella smiled fondly at that day, she had been so excited over the end result. Never again was her hair black~ Without wasting anymore time, the woman opened the door to the small salon and looked around. It definitely kept the traditional looked. Perfect. It would've been terrible to move to this island without a hair salon. She didn't care for it's upkeep aside from the color, so this was important. "Mr. Waldroup? Looking to deliver... a bunch of magazines, and a letter?" she said to the seemingly empty salon. Perhaps she should check the desk. People always hid under them right? No... that was why she was suspended from school once... You're supposed to grow out of that stage... sorta.
