Hey everyone,

So I'm fairly new to the SC2 scene from a player standpoint. However, I know a lot of top professional players and have been learning a few things from them. I haven't really played any ranked matches yet because I've been trying to learn how to play first before I try getting ranked.

A little bit about myself:

I'm currently a professional Halo player for FnaticMSI and am currently trying to learn how to play SC2 competitively so I can one day make the switch from professional Halo to professional StarCraft. I'm here today to try to find new people to play with and hopefully try to get better over time. So if anyone is ever up for playing then please add me smile . Currently I'm trying to learn how to play Protoss, but Rain's play style is keeping Terran as an option as well. Hoping to meet a lot more people to play SC with and hopefully one day I can successfully make the transition over to a full time SC player. smile

969 is my code I believe. Been playing a lot trying to get better.

When I was in beta with sc2 and at launch I played zerg. I sucked though. Zerg just didn't "Feel" right for me. Terran was too bland for me, but I ended up loving toss. So that's what I've been playing as ever since a few months after launch.

I lean towards a gateway style comp compared to the normal colossus play, and it can be difficult in some match ups, especially if you make too many or too little of certain gateway units. Overall, I find it much more fun to use gateway tech and robo for immortal/drops/observers.

I tried to use toss air, but it's kinda meh, if only for the fact pretty much the only thing you can do is void rays with some phoenixes. Carrier cost too much and take too long, and mothership is situational. And colossus play was boring to me.

Besides, there is something to be said about being able to warp in 10-20 units at your enemies base during an attack with a warp prism while doing a drop/warp in elsewhere at the same time.

I play Zerg, and I'm in the platinum league, although recently I haven't practiced much (I'm in the process of moving from Japan back to the States) so I've been sucking. Losing games to gold leaguers to retarded s**t and all that.

Although I just started recording FPVODs of my games, so hopefully I can watch and correct my mistakes. A first-person view is much better than a replay for finding errors in your playstyle.

I don't know that many builds currently. I'm still trying to figure everything out, so right now, I pretty much suck at the entire game hahaha. Learning a game like SC from the beginning is definitely a long/tedious process but I'm sure once I learn some builds and start laddering I'll be able to get it down fairly quickly. The MLG off season is coming up here in a few weeks so once it does I'll be playing SC full time until I have to attend another tournament for Halo.

I envy the amount of time you have to dedicate to it. I work s**t hours here and it seems like there's always something I have to do on my free time that takes away from SC. And the Internet on my little island is TERRIBLE. Ah well, maybe it'll be better at my new place.

I have a job on the side as well, but with Halo on the decline because of Reach and the growth of SC, I think it would smarter for me to eventually make the switch over if I can get good enough. I also went to school for Game Development and Simulation Programming so I'm hoping to get a job in that industry soon as well. So during the off season all my time and effort will go to eSports (learning SC and playing Halo), and game development. It's long to be a long winter for me hahaha. I'm currently working some crazy hours at my job as well but I'm hoping for all of that to change soon so hopefully I can focus more on gaming than anything else.

Uh... There is an option to watch your view in the replays... o.O

The only thing it doesn't show are your exact mouse movements, but it still shows what you have selected and whatnot, while following your view.

Thank you, I'm looking forward to playing with everyone smile . Not sure how much I'll be able to play come mid November because I have a lan in Laguna Beach followed by the MLG National Championship but after that it's the off season, so it's all SC for me hahaha. Really looking forward to putting a lot of time into this game and hopefully competing at some point next year smile

Yeah, I use those sometimes, but FPVOD is so much better. It has the benefit of seeing why and how you mis-micro'd, how your mouse moves while arranging your army, etc. Little things that just make it seem like a more complete picture.

I've been to almost every MLG in the past 5 years. Next stop is Providence, RI for the MLG National Championship where my team will compete for $100,000.
