Life for Neoni'liga couldn't be any sweeter at the moment. She had given birth to five healthy, beautiful cubs and she had raised them within the Nursery with the support of many of the lions and lionesses around her. Everything had gone so perfectly, and today, she felt confident enough to venture outside of the Nursery for the first time, along with her brand new family.
Smiling as she looked at them all, she motioned towards the exit of the Nursery. "Today my darlings, we're going on a little trip to the beach!" She remembered that she was around this age when her own mother first taught her the best way to look for shells. Neoni'liga still felt rather new to all this though, so today, she wouldn't actually be taking her cubs near the sea. She just wanted to take them to where the trees ended and the sand began.
"Make sure you stay near me and Penda'ji at all times. You don't want to scare your mummy by running off do you?" She just couldn't stop smiling as she looked at each and every one of them. She then turned to Penda'ji, still smiling. "Are you ready to go son?" Penda'ji had really enjoyed being a big brother. All of the cubs were really well behaved, even Kinacha, who he thought would act out a bit more just because he was the only boy. He knew how much Neoni'liga had been looking forward to this day, so it made him really happy to be a part of it. It was also reassuring to him that he would be there, just incase anything bad happened. He was sure it wouldn't though, so he quickly pushed that thought from his mind.
"I sure am!" He said with a grin, before looking down at his little brother and sisters. "You guys have to do everything Mother tells you, OK? We don't want you or anyone else getting into trouble." Nuru was pretty much just like Neoni'liga was when she was a cub. She was always happy, and very exciteable, to the point where she probably annoyed some of her siblings a bit. "Yay!" She squeaked, her tail flicking excitedly from side to side. "We're going to the beach!" We're going to the beach!"
She started running around in circles, only to bump into the eldest of the cubs, Zephyranthes. She shook her head and wrinkled up her nose, before her smile reappeared. "Zephyr, we're going to the beach!" As his older brother had observed, Kinacha'bahari was one of the quieter cubs. He didn't mind being the only boy, because he had Penda'ji. Still, it was a bit weird for him to only have sisters to play with. His mother had told him though that her good friend Afina was having cubs soon, and she may have little boys of her own. He hoped that was the case, as he wanted boy his own age to play with.
He laughed and shook his head as Nuru bumped into Zephyr. "You should calm down Nuru." He said with a grin. He was very excited about the beach as well, but he didn't really feel the need to run around and shout about it.

Much like her brother, Kinacha'bahari, Lana had been rather peaceful and calm since birth, which led to her mother naming her after the calm sea waves that often settled into stable tide pools. Her clear blue eyes looked to pay attention to her mother, who was saying that the entire group was going to take a trip outside of the nursery today. Even though she was one of the quieter cubs, Lana was still excited by this prospect. They had been cooped up within a specific area since they were born, and a new adventure to the exterior was one she looked forward to in experiencing.
"Oh, big brother!" she replied to Penda'ji, also offering a sly grin, "When have we gotten into trouble?"
Of course, she didn't mention the one time she and Nuru accidentally stepped on one of the shells the older lionesses had brought back, or the one time she pushed a rock onto Penda'ji's tail, or the one time... Well, regardless, Lana looked ahead with bright, happy eyes, wondering what laid beyond the nursery.

Leucothea happily followed her family with her tail held high in the air. She loved the idea of finally leaving the nursery, she loved the idea that they were going on an adventure with the whole family and she was desperate to feel the sand and see the sea more clearly than just the odd glimpse through the trees.
Of course, Leucothea was also like her name sake, a nymph of the sea, she was known to be a bit mischievous, often trying to get her mothers attention by being just a little naughty.
With a little giggle the soft brown female wriggled between her older brothers legs trying to leap ahead of the pack, she so wanted to be the first to feel the sand between her toes.

Zephyranthes was, for want of a better description, a 'happy medium'. Possessing quirks that enabled her to be both bubbly or quiet based upon the circumstances. As it was, this morning called for considerable excitement and as a consequence the eldest cub was fidgety, jittery and otherwise desperate to get moving. So much so that one could have been fairly accurate in assuming that she hadn't listened to everything her mother and older brother might have said - that didn't mean she intended to misbehave, only that there was a possibility she might slip up!
Of course, such excitement couldn't be helped. They were going to the beach and given they had only been allowed to glimpse the mighty entity through the trees, up until now it had only been something she could ponder over from a distance. She'd heard stories, myths and legends about it - heck, she'd even heard about sports and games to be had in it but for some reason all the adults were so very anti-sea at the moment and permitting a cub out of their sight was an absolute no-no.
...Unsurprisingly, that was annoying to her.
Nevertheless, as a result of all the excitement, Zephyr didn't respond to Nuru's knock with hostility and instead, grinned in excitement at the prospect of exploring the location. If she had her way, she was going to come back with some huge shells and make the most awesome crown ever.
True story!

(( ^^ Just follow what me and Epee have done and quote the person who's due to post after you. )) Neoni'liga laughed as her cubs interacted with one another. She had never been quite sure what to expect in terms of their behavior, but she never could've expected for them all to be so good and well-behaved at this age! Not that she recalled being naughty when she was a cub, but still, she felt truely blessed and lucky right now to have such a perfect family.
"Right, follow me then, at my side." She said with a smile, motioning for the cubs to join her. "We're going in this direction." She said with a nod of her head. "That little path will lead us right to the beach!" She glanced breifly over her shoulder at Penda'ji. "Penda'ji my dear, you walk a little behind us, just so that you can keep an eye on them as well." With that, she started walking. Rather slowly at first, so as to make sure that each cub remained at her side.Penda'ji listened carefully to everything that Neoni'liga said before giving a happy nod of his head. "You heard Mother!" He grinned as he looked down at each cub. "Stay at her side, OK? I'll be watching all of you from back here."
As Neoni'liga started walking, he stayed put, just so he could put a small amount of distance between himself and his family, so he could better keep an eye on them and their surroundings. The Bahari'mtoto had always been a very safe Pride in general, but ever since the arrival of the cubs, he had felt the need to be that little bit more cautious. With that in mind, he looked all around him, just to check that no one other than fellow Bahari'mtoto members were around. As soon as Neoni'liga asked, Nuru hopped to join her right at her side. In fact, she was almost underneath her paws, she was that close. Grinning rather cheekily at her other siblings because she had managed to get the spot closest to mother, she started to walk, attempting to mimic the big steps that her mother took.
"How long until we reach the beach?!" Nuru squeeked, having only taken about three steps. From the Nursery, they could only just see the sea through the trees, but it seemed like quite a far distance from a cubs point on view. In reality, it probably wasn't very far at all.Kinacha'bahari took everything in his stride, and this was no exception. When everyone started walking and Penda'ji did not, he hesitated a little bit, before doing as his mother had asked and walking at her side. Well, Nuru's side, since she had gotten there first. He smiled and waited to see which of his sisters managed to claim mother's other side.
When Nuru asked how long it would take for them to get there, he rolled his eyes and let out a small laugh. "I bet it's not that long Nuru."

When the group started moving, Lana had been busy scanning everything she could even a few steps away from their nursery to notice the walking paws. Her ears perked as she realized Panda'ji was instructed to lead them from the back, and she giggled as he seemed to take the order quite seriously. Even though he was much, much, much older than Lana and her siblings, he still was a brother! Perhaps she could do something for him later that would loosen him up.
She watched as Nuru ran towards their mother; she preferred to stay somewhere in the middle of all of them. Lana was simply content with taking in the scenery, looking at everything she possibly could to ask someone about later.
Hearing Nuru and Kinacha's dialogue, Lana quickly decided to put forth, "I hope it'll take long! There's probably lots of stuff to see on the way there!"
