Dice rolls 1-5 = Wild Pokemon Encounter 6-25 = Damage Event 26-40 = Item 41-95 = Nothing happens 96-100 = Puzzle The dining room is large - way too large for a single person. There is a long table that stretches through almost the whole room. The table is empty besides a...fossil exhibit? What is that doing there? More astonishingly, there are actual dangling electric bulbs that lights up the room. You expected the place to be less modern judging from the torches in the basement. Well actually, there's only 2 electric bulbs left and the room is still quite dim. Glass is scattered across the floor - perhaps left from a previous incident of another party. There is also an old cabinet to the side containing more empty fossil displays. Next to the displays are a label that reads "Property of the Katarina Museum"

Cygnus trailed his fingers down the long, wooden table. A dining room, then. Something crunched under his feet - he stopped. Had he broken something? He hoped he hadn't just crushed a bug Pokemon. "What is that, Ariel?" he asked. "Should I pick it up?" The Espeon inspected the floor, identifying the broken glass as Not Safe To Touch. "Espi," he snorted, his tone clearly negative. "Is it all right to keep going?" "Espeon." Positive. Cygnus's footsteps crunched again as he moved farther along the table, until his fingers encountered a rectangular glass case, like a fishtank or one of the cases at the museum. What was on the floor must once have been one of these. He tapped a glass pane, and the sound told him that there was no water inside. "Is there anything in this?" Cygnus called to his new human friend. Ariel (1000/1000 HP)

One of the two remaining light bulbs starts flickering, and within a few seconds, the bulb explodes into numerous glass shards that rain down upon the two humans and their pokemon. Well, that must be where the glass on the floor came from.
Rolling 2 6-sided dice First dice = damage to Fin's pokemon Second dice = damage to Truth's pokemon
1 = miss 2-5 = a glass shard hits for 100 damage 6 = a particularly large glass shard hits for 200 damage
Both of you should write a reaction post to what happens (do not roll), then you may resume dice rolling

Cygnus threw both arms above his face as he heard the small explosion overheard. A few shards bounced off of his sweater and tinkled to the ground, but none struck his skin. Lightbulbs in this old place? He supposed the glass on the floor hadn't come from a case, after all. "Anyone hurt?" Ariel had danced out of the way of the falling glass, neatly avoiding all of the pieces. He chirped a reassurance in answer to Cygnus's worried query. Ariel (1000/1000 HP)

Duo wasn't too far behind Cygnus, his new Joltik out. The Pokemon was a bit...wary of him still, but seemed to be adjusting, since Duo made no move to harm him or anything. "Man...need to figure out a name for you." He was glad he wore boots as glass crunched under his feet, eyes darting about for any sign of life.
He looked over when Cygnus called to him, then threw his arms over his head when the light bulb shattered, face turned downwards. "s**t!" Damn...what was with this place?! His Joltik skittered to one side, making a buggy hissing noise as it dodged the glass. "Damn...we're cool. No injuries here. You good?" He shook himself a bit and looked over to the case Cygnus had been talking about.
"Looks like...fossils. I think." He'd only seen a few fossils before, a looooong while ago.

Cygnus straightened his sweater. "We're fine," he replied, as Ariel wound protectively around his ankles. He moved back toward the glass case and ran his fingers along the edges to gauge the size. "Fossils, like in a museum? That Jirachi-rock was in that museum in Katarina. Same Jirachi, you think? Maybe its wish muddled up things in the real world as well as the dream one." He frowned. "That is, if we're back in the real world, anyway." Ariel (1000/1000 HP)

Duo crossed his arms as he looked the fossils over, curious. "Maybe. It's pretty likely, if you ask me." He looked back over to Cygnus. "I'm hoping we are. But...well, some Pokemon are pretty powerful. So yeah...it is likely the wish muddled things up. I mean...this house looks pretty old, but there were electric lights in here. And now...we've got these fossils." He sighed and looked to the Joltik, who was skittering around, investigating under the table.

Cygnus nodded. "That's right, the electricity's out of place, too. Perhaps now there's a museum somewhere that's lit by candles, and has old china for exhibits. Then again, that wouldn't be too strange." Intrigued by the little bug, Ariel pounced playfully behind the other Pokemon, taking care not to land right on top of it. He gently tapped the creature on the head with one soft paw, then drew back to sit attentively, ears perked forward, to watch its reaction. Ariel (1000/1000 HP)

If you examined the fossil case very closely, you might notice a series of indents on one of its sides. I wonder what it says? It may hold a hint to discovering something in the room.

Cygnus turned back to the glass case, searching with his hands for anything that might tell them more about their predicament. Finally, on one side, he felt something very familiar. "There's something here in Braille!" he exclaimed. The blind man's fingers danced excitedly over the well-known patterns, and he read the message aloud: " Break the fossil that revives from the light of a red moon. The past will pave the way to the future."'The fossil that revives from the light of a red moon,'" Cygnus repeated. "I don't suppose you have a red moon on hand? I'm fresh out." He grinned, then frowned in concentration. "That sounds familiar, actually. I think there might have been something in the Pokedex..." He snapped his fingers. "Kabuto! "Here," he called to his new friend. "See if there's a Kabuto fossil in this case. I'm not too enthused about destroying priceless artifacts, but it just might help us out here." Ariel (1000/1000 HP)

The Joltik made a surprised noise, practically jumping out of its skin when the larger Pokemon got playful. It stared at Ariel a bit, before skittering forward and poking one of Ariel's front legs cautiously.
Duo couldn't help but chuckle. "Yeah...old china is pretty par for the course with some museums." He started looking at the fossils, and started when Cygnus piped up again. Braille? It was a good thing he'd been looking at the fossils though. "Kabuto..." He moved over to the case his friend had found the Braille on and started looking through it. "Kabuto, Kabuto..."
He REALLY hoped they wouldn't get in trouble for breaking open a fossil. IF they could break it open.

Ariel chirped in delight as the Joltik responded in kind. He crouched down to the floor to put his face roughly on a level with the bug's, allowing his tail to waver lazily in the air. "Espi," he greeted the other Pokemon. "They're sort of dome-shaped," Cygnus said, describing half a globe with outstretched hands. He'd encountered one or two Kabuto at the Pokemon Daycare back home, so he knew what they felt like. "A big smooth shell, with maybe a few pointy little legs." Ariel (1000/1000 HP)

The Joltik skittered back a little, but didn't try running away. "Jolt!" It was nice having a larger Pokemon that wasn't trying to step on it or eat it!
Duo perked. "Found it!" He tapped the glass above the found fossil. "Just a matter of getting it out now." He started looking for some way to open without smashing glass in. But...well, if it came down to that, he had the collapsible baton in his jacket pocket.
