Back when Yuri was a child, Mr. Allen had this house built when he first discovered an advertisement for the island, since he didn't have the time or the energy to look around at existing houses there. Because it's so new, it has a fresh, clean quality to it. The two story, three bedroom house is modeled after the one his late wife always wanted to buy. Because he only lived there sporadically, he left the house very sparsely decorated, and he left most of the household decorating and other matters to an NPC housekeeper he had hired. However, when Yuri was seventeen, he remarried, and gave her the house once she was old enough. Even though it's entirely hers now, she has done very little to personalize it, choosing to keep things the way they were out of convenience. It's an immensely large place for just one person, but thankfully, for Yuri's sake, June often comes to spend the night.
The master bedroom on the second floor houses Mr. Allen's bedroom, now turned into a guest room. Across from that is Yuri's bedroom, which was originally intended to be the guest room, and had remained completely empty until Yuri took it as her own. Down the hall is her childhood bedroom, virtually left untouched.
Walking down the stairs to the first floor takes you to the entryway. From the front door, the living room is to the right, and the kitchen is to the left. The living room connects to what was once Mr. Allen's office, where he spent the most time when he was home. There's a fold out couch in there, and it acts as a second guest room.
In addition to the two floors is the basement, which is mostly empty, except for a TV, some old couches, and a pool table, and the attic. The attic is filled with the late Mrs. Allen's belongings, including things she inherited when her own parents passed away. As a child, Yuri enjoyed spending her time going through her mother's old things, even though it wasn't allowed.

For years, White Day was the kind of festival that Yuri preferred to scoff at, rather than participate. Who would actually pay money to possibly end up with some creep? No, she wasn't so desperate that she'd leave her fate up to chance. But actually, turns out she was. So much, in fact, that she spent all of her monthly fun money on this stupid contest. She couldn't tell June, he'd never let her live it down. Just thinking of it was enough to make her uncomfortably self-conscious. Hopefully, this would turn out well. She didn't know this Isaac guy, but... it sounded a little familiar. Maybe he had come into the shop at some point? She couldn't remember. In the meantime, while she waited for this Isaac guy, she sat on her couch, fidgeting with the bottom of her blouse. Usually she was the type who preferred being approached, not the other way around. Initiating a meeting like this was out of her comfort zone.

-Isaac Kidd-
As far as Isaac could tell… This would be weird. Yuri, he knew that name… but from where? A few weeks ago he’d probably remember the name right off the bat, but he had been going to school lately and he had been busy… The boy was barely spending time at the shop and Leon had been busy himself so there was little time to talk. So here he was, wondering why he had signed up for this event in the first place. Now that he looked at his outfit, he probably could’ve done better but… it was cold? Isaac shrugged to himself at his choice of wear and knocked on the door three times, hoping the door would open soon so he wouldn’t be cold. It was such a weird thing to be in a place where it actually snowed... It wasn't bad, on the contrary, but it was new to just live there.

Yuri just about leaped out of her skin when someone knocked at the door. She had been so wrapped up in her own thoughts, she had actually forgotten where she was, what she was doing. What was it? Oh yeah, her date. White Day date! She decided to sit and wait until she calmed down again, but she lingered a little too long, and by the time she left the couch, she wondered if this Isaac guy was still there, or if he had given up and gone home. Placing her hand on the door knob, she hesitated, taking a deep breath and smoothing out her hair and clothes. It was now or never, and so she pulled open the door. She started with a smile, but once she saw Isaac and it processed in her brain what was going on, she just looked more surprised than pleased. "...You're Isaac?" Maybe he was just a new neighbor or something, looking to borrow a cup of sugar. That sort of thing happened in real life, didn't it? But she had had enough experience with bad luck over the years, so she knew she wasn't so fortunate. "Of course you are. Who else would you be?" She mentally elbowed herself in the side and let out an oddly fake laugh. Oh, she didn't function well when she was startled. "I'm Yuri. But you know that, probably." She fell silent for a moment, but then noticed the weather. It was cold, wasn't it? It was winter. "Oh, yeah, come in." She took a step back to let him in. As she waited for him to come in, she took a moment to look him over. He seemed smart, wasn't bad looking, she could have done a lot worse. You know, if he wasn't, like, twelve. Beggars can't be choosers, she knew that, but at the same time, she really hadn't expected to get a kid. She was only twenty-two herself, but already, school seemed like ages ago, and the idea of talking to someone still in that world was a bizarre thought. "Want something to drink? Not that I have much, but I think there's a box of hot chocolate mix or something. Water? Tea? Wait, I don't have tea. Water?" Isaac wasn't even that young, but the thought of 'school' was enough to make her feel like he was much younger than he probably was. It felt like she was entertaining a little kid. She had no experience with kids. She never babysat, and she wasn't in contact with her half-brother or step-sister. She was ill-equipped for this, and it was obvious she was uncomfortable. And she couldn't help herself from asking anymore. "...How old are you, anyway?"

Another lovely day off from work, and June had decided to spend it out and about the town. He liked to venture around the island, though it had really lost all it's luster after living here for so long. Which is why he filled his time with more stimulating activities. Today's activity? Bugging the beautiful and feisty Yuri. The blonde never got why he had decided to make friends with the goody two shoes gone wanna-be bad girl, yet here he was in front of her house, unlocking the door with the spare he knew how to get and waltzing into the big quiet house. He didn't actually know if the girl was there or not, she could easily be at work, or with friends, or something. He just wanted to see for himself regardless. If she wasn't here, he'd move on. If she was... Well he had something to entertain himself with. He stepped further into the house and took in a deep breath. "Hey, if your home come entertain me!" He didn't have to specify who was here, there was only one occupant, "Maybe cook something too." June was rather hungry. Maybe he should have stopped to eat before he came...

Yuri should have known that giving June the secrets of her home's security was a bad idea. She had done it when they were younger, when she felt better with the unrealistic thought that her friend could randomly appear in her home in a moment of need. Obviously, June wasn't the rescuer type, and her luck was so bad that it would never turn out like that. Instead, she just had to deal with random appearances during the day. It definitely wasn't romantic, having her best friend nonchalantly waltz in while she was in the middle of chores, or even worse, still doing her hair. Just like today.
"June?" Yuri asked as she emerged from the staircase leading to the basement. She felt a little silly for questioning who was there. Who else could it be? The housekeeper she still used didn't have a voice that masculine -- if you could even call the blonde masculine -- and no one else ever really came by. "Oh, it is you." She sounded a little disappointed as she adjusted the laundry basket she held up against her hip. It was filled with folded up socks and blouses. She was glad they were just clean and not dirty. "Why do I have to cook? You're a grown man, supposedly, you should be able to navigate a stove." She slipped past him in the hallway and headed up the stairs. He could follow if he liked, but she wasn't going to entertain him like he was a guest or anything. Guests rang the doorbell. She headed over to her room and sat crosslegged on the floor, opening the bottom drawer and dumping the socks into it. "Intruders don't get food for nothing!" she yelled. The house was big, but it was empty, too, so if the doors were open and it was quiet, a person's voice could echo down to the first floor easily. "You know the rules. Come help me, and then we can talk about food."

Ah, what a lovely young lady. So elegant. So refined. So beautiful. "So much of a pain in the a**," June said to himself as he roughly ascended the stairs, pounding each stair with his feet. Really, Yuri was always such a hassle. Do work? The blonde was here because he had no work, like hell he was going to help his friend do her chores on his day off. Though, that didn't mean he wouldn't watch. "Help huh?" He commented as he reached the woman's bedroom, "So I can rummage through your drawers?" He walked a bit into the room to stand above the girl. She was looking quite boring today. Well, there was no way Yuri could stand to be dressed up all the time. She hated it when she was younger after all. June examined what she was doing, not sure why, but he really had nothing else to do. "No underwear today?" He asked obviously inappropriately, though in a June like manner, "That's pretty boring." He clicked his teeth with the comment. It's not like he hadn't seen them before. But, he needed something to keep him entertained. Unfortunately, teasing will have to suffice.

Yuri was a woman with a lot of pride. She wasn't afraid to admit that pride was a driving force in most of her decisions in life. And as such, she didn't like feeling vulnerable, she didn't like feeling exposed, and she definitely didn't like feeling embarrassed. She had spent some time as a teenager training herself not to blush when she felt these things -- she could withstand the emotions as long as it didn't show on her face. For the most part, it was a handy trick, but it wasn't foolproof. There were some moments that just didn't work. June standing in her room commenting on her underwear was one of those moments.
Her dark hair was tied up into a loose bun on the top of her head, and she reached up to touch her bare neck. She tried to pass it off as checking the stray hairs, but in reality, she was trying to relieve the prickling sensation as her skin began to heat up. "Don't be a creep," she answered brusquely, peering at him pointedly before shoving the sock drawer closed. "Sorry to disappoint, but you'll live. Here," she picked up a folded bottom sheet and held it out to June. "Put this on the bed, okay? That's all I need from you," she smiled brightly, which was a little tricky considering she was also lightly biting the inside of her bottom lip. "If you didn't want to work, then why else would you come by?" she asked, feigning innocence.

Now, June wasn't intel- Caring enough to notice that Yuri was just a tad bit uncomfortable with his comment. Really, to him he hadn't said anything out of line. But, that could have been Mac's influence. He had a very... Foul mouth after all. Maybe it had rubbed off on the blonde a bit. And it was going to keep going. "I ain't a creep," He almost immediately retorted, "Your the one biting your lip at me." He spoke very bluntly as he grabbed the sheet. Really, she was such a strange person, "Or are you just constipated?" Probably not the best question to ask a girl, yet June didn't care. He tossed the sheets on the bed haphazardly and slammed his body down on top of them. He rolled over on the bed to stare at the ceiling as he listened for Yuri's response. Maybe she'd have a fit? They used to bug him as a kid, but as he grew older the girl's little episodes became increasingly entertaining. "You should probably take a pill or something if you are," That was a considerate thing to say, right? The man really had no idea what was and wasn't any more really.

You'd think that after a good twelve years of friendship, these two would know each other pretty well. Unfortunately for Yuri, that seemed to be a mistake, because not only did the two of them fail to understand each other a good amount of the time, she was still being shocked by his behavior every once in a while. She could ignore his crude way of speaking, but the moment the word 'constipation' came out of his mouth, it was like she had been yanked into another universe. She stood up suddenly, shooting up so quickly that she knocked over the laundry basket, and blouses fell out. So much for keeping a composed face. The blush started from her ears, and soon the dull aching spread across her nose, all the way up to her black roots, and eventually coming to a stop along the collar of her shirt. She burned red from her forehead to her chest. And she wasn't just embarrassed, she was mad. "I.... the hell... June... Wh--" She opened and closed her mouth like a trout or something, failing to get out more than just a few disjointed syllables. "I can't believe you just said that! That's so inappropriate!" she hissed angrily before turning on her heel and heading towards the stairs. She didn't know why she was the one leaving, she just couldn't stand in a room with him for much longer. As she stomped down the stairs, she yelled back at him. "If you still think I'm gonna feed you, then... Well, you can just go ******** yourself!" It was harsh, but she was mortified, so at the moment, it felt like the right thing to say.
And yet, she found herself in the kitchen. Yuri let out a strangled, frustrated noise before retreating quickly from the kitchen and instead descending down into the basement. She beelined for the dryer and yanked out the lint trap. And she stood there, tearing at the lint as if it was a proxy for June, and mumbled angrily to herself. "Stupid... June...! So... frustrating... Rude... Who... says something... like that? ...For godssake!"

Yuri really reacted just as June expected really. To the T, actually. He sighed as she stormed out unreasonably, I mean she had to know it wasn't meant to be hurtful... Or whatever. He was just playing around. Though, he liked the reaction. It always brought on a chuckle, like it was doing now. And after his little snickering fit calmed down, he rolled out of his friend's bed and headed down stairs. The blonde made his way to the laundry room with an over exaggerated knock on the door frame. "I'm sorry so cook me something," He said still holding back a smirk. He was failing miserably at it. Actually he broke into a snicker once more before stepping into the room and resting his hands on Yuri's soldiers. He massaged them a bit before pulling her back far enough that his chest barely touched her back, "Come on, get to it." Again he took on his bossy tone, even linking his arm with her and dragging her towards the kitchen. He really should think about what he was doing more. However... Being impulsive was in his nature. Plus, it was just easier this way. "I'll even keep you company while you do it," If that was some kind of reward.

Yuri was being immature -- she knew at least that much. It was just too easy to get swept up in her anger and throw a fit. It wasn't like she enjoyed it or anything. Well, no, that was a lie. A part of her kind of did like it. It was kind of a thrill, to indulge in a bit of emotion and acting like it was stronger than it really was. It was like a rollercoaster -- she shot up to the top of the slope, but came tumbling down as quickly as she had come. So by the time June made it down to the basement, she really wasn't that angry anymore. She had heard that anger only lasted a matter of seconds, and it was the individual that held onto it longer. She didn't mind letting it go if it meant that June would play nice.
She didn't say anything or move at all when June came over, and she still had a rather tight grip on the decimated lint and the plastic lint trap. He just didn't learn, did he? She shut her eyes and inhaled through her nose sharply. She could control the impulse to get mad and violent. Obviously storming out and telling him to ******** himself wasn't effective, and she just didn't have the energy to try any other strategies. It was laundry day, for ******** sake, it was supposed to be a low key day. "You really need to learn to think before you open your mouth," she said finally, shifting her shoulders a little bit away from June's ticklish touch. She just had enough time to return the lint trap to its slot before she was pulled away. Her fist was still filled with lint. "Okay, okay, OKAY," she mumbled, yanking herself free. She dumped the lint in the waste basket by the door and flicked the remaining dust at June. "Gee, so generous," she retorted sarcastically. With a small sigh, she placed her hands on her hips and scratched the back of her calf with her toe. It looked like it was going to be another day she didn't get to win.
"...Okay, fine," Yuri said after a moment. "You're lucky I'm hungry. But I'm going to make what I want, and if you don't like it, then tough. Got it?" She looked at him pointedly before turning on her heel to wash her hands and get the ingredients for food. She complained and she didn't like how he talked to her, but deep down, she was a little glad. Eating alone all the time was lonely.

Nice, a good reaction. June grinned as he followed her down into the kitchen. Yuri was so easy to play around with. Though... She did snap easily, leading to some losses on the blonde's part. But, today was a win. "Don't be so shy~" He said sarcastically as he leaned onto the nearest counter and watched his pal get to cooking. The girl was virtually useless at housework when they were kids, yet now she could handle herself. However, living by yourself did that, even June knew his way around the kitchen in recent days, didn't mean he liked to though. "You know you love doing stuff for me," She had to, "I mean you always do." She was never happy about it, but she always kept up with him. The man never really thought on the whys though, wasn't worth it. Yuri did what she did, and June let it happen. The dynamic was good enough to not change it. Although... June wasn't so mean as to not throw his friend a bone now and again. He liked Yuri, so he made sure he wasn't... June all the time. "Next time it's on me," The time never comes though.

Yuri rolled her eyes as she set the ingredients on the counter. "Yes, I love doing this domestic s**t. Everyday, I just sit and think 'wouldn't it be nice if June came over so I could use up the food I bought with my own money?'" she continued to speak, her words dripping with sarcasm. It was not an unusual setting for her. Meanwhile, she filled up a pot with water and set it on the stove so it could boil, and began cutting into a red pepper. "I mean, if you want to play house, at least have the decency to pretend that you contribute at all." For a moment, she had a mental image of June coming into the kitchen, wearing a suit and tie, and setting down a briefcase on the kitchen table. It was such an odd image that she broke into a small grin. "But if you insist," she went on, her voice growing higher and breathy as she sighed. "Next time we'll go out for dinner. I hear the restaurant at the inn is serving Kobe beef now," she flashed her smile towards June before turning back to her cooking. She tore off a piece of aluminum foil loudly and made sure she crinkled it and made it as noisy as possible when she wrapped it over a baking sheet. It was as if she was trying to discourage any argument on June's part. He offered to pay for next time, he couldn't just go back on his word now! She plopped the pepper slices on the foil and tossed it into the oven. She wasn't a particularly graceful cook.
Soon enough, Yuri was done cooking, and she divided cooked pasta with sauce and red peppers onto two plates. The serving on the plate she held onto was notably larger than the one she left on the counter for June to take. "Take it if you'd like, you know where the silverware is." And with that, she brushed past and headed back to the basement, where she plopped down on the couch and turned on the TV down there. She never ate in the living room, so the basement functioned as a dining room of sorts. For her, at least.

June just nodded along as Yuri spoke and spoke and spoke and spoke and spoke. And the blonde made sure not to listen to any of it. If he listened to all of it, well, it would have definitely put him to sleep. Instead he let little thoughts pop into his head as he stared at the girls eyes to look like he was indeed absorbing what she was saying. And when she was done, the man gave her a smile and made his way to the pot. Since he had already grabbed a fork, June just stabbed it in and began eating right from the source. He watched the woman walk away, however he felt it best for him to stay behind. The blonde really just wanted to eat after all, whether or not Yuri was there. It didn't take long for the 'starving artist' to finish up his meal and throw the fork into the sink, and it took even less for him to make his way to the stairs of the basement. Although, instead of going down to join his friend, "Thanks for the grub." His call was followed by footsteps toward the front door and an inevitable slamming of the door. June yawned as he began to walk off the Allen property, once again paying no respect to the woman who often took care of him. Well... Minus a sign on the door stating, -Don't make plans for Saturday--Exit June-
